I messed mine up taking the mudguards off and had to learn the hard way what this was. I think the whole bike is over complicated. Great design but they really should have sorted it by now. Needed two new parts after removing the guards or it wouldn't work. Also the Allen bolt for the rear suspension block fell out when riding in Norfolk making the bike useless. Had to wait while a replacement was sent. It took two weeks. Now I've got loads of loctite on the new one. I'd definitely check that now and again.
Hi Julian, Is it a 4 speed or 12 speed? Not that it makes any difference for the stopping mechanism, but I bought the 4 speed last year unknowing that the 12 should arrive this year… so just wondering which one you have and if you’re also missing a few gears 😊
Great Video!! I also got the 4 speed p line and had it upgraded at Brilliant bikes to the 12 speed wow what a difference it's a whole new bike!!! I had to order all of the parts because it is very hard to get the hub rear wheel keep that in mind. brilliant bikes were amazing in doing the upgrade in about 30 minutes!!!
Gah... just bruising? When proper mountain bikers crash their injuries look like the contents of a butcher's bin - blood and gore all over the place. It was very good of you Julian to make that short video while you were thinking about cleaning your rear derailleur (and that cable clamp in particular). You were about to clean your derailleur... weren't you? 😛
Cheap Shit! My stopdisc on my now much former than 2019 Superlight, below 9 kilo with mudguards, as a "Rainy Dane", is titanium with a flat carbon disc! And I use a strap to secure it, when folded, to keep it folded in my B&W bag. Finn. Denmark
Fantastic Video, thank you. And hope your bruse is all better now.
i'm pleased this has happened to some else, i thought it was just me - useful video, thank you.
Brilliant Bikes are exactly that - Brilliant !!
