Will you be adding this to your New Year's Eve spread? What are your favorite recipes to ring in the new year with?

We always eat cabbage on New Years Day. We used to put a silver dime in it. The one lucky enough to get it in their serving would come into money in the new year.

My mom, made a similar dish, only she used sauerkraut instead of cabbage and on the side added smoked pork chops and boiled potatoes. I'm in my 60's and to this day it's still one of my favorite meals

We love cooked cabbage. We love eating the core raw with a little salt sprinkled on it. Did it ever since we were kids. We never throw it away. I've never fried my cabbage. We cook it in a large pot with a little sugar and hillside farm smoked little wienies.

This recipe sounds absolutely wonderful. I think I might even have it for tonight since I have all the ingredients to go with it. And since I have so much cabbage and such a huge head of cabbage I may even have cabbage rolls tomorrow which are one of my favorites you might want to think about doing a demo on cabbage rolls since they're such a popular dish and so many people that have never tried it once they do love it thanks a lot for sharing your recipe.

Exceptional cooking and cabbage is very nutritious.!!! We juice a lot of veggies and raw cabbage. Carrots juiced also sweeten any dark greens that are in the juice. Thks for the recipe for the fried cabbage! Yum!!

I gotta try this because cabbage is one of my favorite vegetables and who doesn’t love bacon. FYI, I love the core and eat it raw whenever I’m using cabbage. Great video. 😊

I made Southern fried cabbage tonight. Used D'Artagnan smoked bacon. Added some spices to the cabbage stir along with the bacon, a little oil, and white wine vinegar. Thank you for your presentation! I'm always looking for fried cabbage recipes.

Short and direct, I like the bacon greese, but think I'll also be adding a good amount of sausage. But I like your site and technique. Thanks for the help.
