I have to say, watching this performance as well as BIGBANG's, Psy's and other 2NE1 performances, i found it really surprising to me how different the performances are from today's kpop. In this one there is so much energy, fire, passion for what they do, pushing boundaries, talent, no lip synching, not picture perfect robot choreo, not all about visuals and popularity but about the music and how they make the crowd hyped. Its expressing yourself through a performance. I feel energised and excited by watching these legends. I feel like it didn't matter here if u weren't good looking or have a perfect body or anything, they just have real talent and charisma and a love for what they do. I feel like a lot of today's kpop really lacks some of these qualities. I feel like it's more shallow today like its all about visuals, perfect robot synchronised choreo and popularity. What impresses me most about 2NE1 visually is how unique each member looked and also how physically healthy. Like is it just me, but I can't remember the last time a female idol has had curves like this while being active. Aside from that, I also liked how expressive they are in their dance movements. When I look at GG now, all I see are basically a lot of hand/point choreo and occasionally a hip movement. Not a lot of them actually full body dancing on stage.

I have to say, watching this performance as well as BIGBANG's, Psy's and other 2NE1 performances, i found it really surprising to me how different the performances are from today's kpop. In this one there is so much energy, fire, passion for what they do, pushing boundaries, talent, no lip synching, not picture perfect robot choreo, not all about visuals and popularity but about the music and how they make the crowd hyped. Its expressing yourself through a performance. I feel energised and excited by watching these legends. I feel like it didn't matter here if u weren't good looking or have a perfect body or anything, they just have real talent and charisma and a love for what they do. I feel like a lot of today's kpop really lacks some of these qualities. I feel like it's more shallow today like its all about visuals, perfect robot synchronised choreo and popularity. I feel like a lot (obviously not all) of the comment section in today's kpop is filled alot with praising idols on their looks instead of actual talent.

What impresses me most about 2NE1 visually is how unique each member looked and also how physically healthy. Like is it just me, but I can't remember the last time a female idol has had curves like this while being active. Aside from that, I also liked how expressive they are in their dance movements. When I look at GG now, all I see are basically a lot of hand/point choreo and occasionally a hip movement. Not a lot of them actually full body dancing on stage.
They look so distinguishable from each other. They don’t blend into one that’s why they’re fun to watch.
