I remember watching Kenan on All That! as a kid. He's a born star and he seems so genuine. He seems like fame never went to his head and he would be really fun to talk to. I love this guy.
I agree with the ApocalypseCow, his book is *really* good. It's a fun read as the other person said, and it's extremely valuable to me in other ways too. I've been reading the hardcover book (I can't listen to "audiobooks"), borrowed from our local public library. [Buying every book I want became unsustainable after awhile.] I missed this interview somehow and while reading his book I paused to come look for that sketch because I can't remember seeing it that long ago, and found this. I found two other Black Eyed Peas sketches but not that one yet.
Kenan did it right. He has had steady work for over 2 decades, gets to stretch himself as an actor & isn’t away from his family all the time. He’s famous enough, especially in NYC, to get in places, but can live a pretty private life.
I am literally re-reading Pholer's "Yes Please" and I just read, TODAY, about Amy describing Kenan's fake phone calls to himself. Thankyouthankyouthankyou
I loved her book so much. It was the first book by a comedian I read and it's been my favorite genre since. I found Kenna's at my local library and am currently reading it. I *love it* too. Very much. I'd like to reread hers. I did not recall that she discussed his calls to himself, and I'm surprised. It's hilarious.
So, here’s my pitch. It’s called Corner SNL. Any random SNL alum is allowed to come in and have a seat on the stage and can side kick or interrupt as they feel necessary! They could tell a BTS story, a random thought, whatever… but they are in a taped off part of the stage, maybe behind something… but, that way we get more stories like this entire episode. Love you guys so much! 🥰🤣
That's been my thought for a few years. He is executive producer on the new All That, so he has producing experience for sketch shows, and he knows the majority of big players in entertainment which is a big part of Lorne's responsibility
What sketch is it? The only one I can think of is the one about them doing all the advertising. At Wendy's singing about baked potatoes. 😂😂😂 I'd love to see that again.
50 years of SNL. 22 years of Kenan. Not quite half. 60 years of SNL. 32 years of Kenan. More than half 56 years of SNL. 28 years of Kenan. Exactly half.
I love Keenan!! He's a class act, funny guy and loved by all. Probably why they paird him with trans/homophobe kevin hart: the hateful, non-funny man. Opposites, to cover all their bases. Shame, cuz i would totally have watched kenan's commentary.
Sorry to say Keenan’s a glorified extra at SNL. Not sure why he ever got a job there or how he’s been allowed to stay so long. Talk of him taking over Lorne’s job is pure insanity.

You should listen to his audiobook that just came out. It was a fun read.

The heart of SNL, right there.
and soul.
the best comedian ever
He’s always been great…I used to love Whataburger😊…
ALL THAT
Still a bot.

Living the dream.
@@brandonlordbaltimore5182 truly 😃
You might love to read his book, I stumbled on it at the local library and am *so* glad. I *love it so much.*
@@sparkythancztwise thanks for the rec! I’ll check it out! 📖
Kenan is the one person that deserves to host the show WHILE still a cast member
I am literally re-reading Pholer's "Yes Please" and I just read, TODAY, about Amy describing Kenan's fake phone calls to himself. Thankyouthankyouthankyou

More Mighty Ducks talk from Kenan!! Doesn't get spoken about enough since he wasn't in the first film.
He's been carrying comedy shows since All That, I love Kenan!
Keenan: “will forte was involved in this-- don’t leave him out”
Caption writer: “don’t worry, definitely leaving out finesse mitchell”
😅 I thought about that asa he started to tell the story
*And* at 1:33 the CCs got Will Forte's name when it was first spoken (and later), correct.
tells ya finesse was a pretty funny guy to hang w/ the others.
@ definitely- imo, he was good on SNL, just didn’t have writers for his voice
22 years of hilarious characters ✨
One of my favorites is when he did Big Papi 😂😂
Don't forget the 4 years of sketch comedy he did before that.
He's been around forever! Great guy
My favorite member of Blackapella and Quarterblack!

Love it
Kenan is so great!
❤❤❤❤❤This Thompson grew up on SNL❤❤❤❤❤
We love kenan thompson and seth meyers
Pretty sure Kenan will take on Lorne’s role when he’s ready to pass the torch
Tina all the way!

So much to talk about, but not enough damn time! More Kenan please
I love Kenan
He's so good as a comedian.
SNL royalty. Legend.
Did anyone else notice the small detail at 5:23? It’s so cool!
❤ Been watching him since mighty ducks...true humor!!
The Mighty Ducks. Oh my gosh. I was born in ‘97, but my brother and I later on watched Mighty Ducks all the time. “It’s Knuckle Puck time.”
Everything is made so easy to understand. Kudos!
❤ thank you for this conversation
I want him and leslie jones. And why isn't leslie jones covering house of dragon!?!? These are the questions I have early in the morning 😂
That jersey is 🔥🔥
YESSSSS D2 for liiiiife 🙌🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
MVP!
Love Keenan!!
Hell yeah on that sweater
Should've Keenan sounds like a great skit
I love that black eyed peas sketch! Bill Hader is in it too
I've been trying to find it with no luck
What sketch is it? The only one I can think of is the one about them doing all the advertising. At Wendy's singing about baked potatoes. 😂😂😂 I'd love to see that again.
I've wanted Keenan to do Pierre Escargot on SNL for years.
seth gets a lot of slack for his impressions, but come on "they're not from the Bronx" has me rolling!
I'm in need of your prayers and positive energy. Please keep me in your thoughts.
I just heard that the moron execs at NBC decided to cut the 8g band use to 'ratings'??? What a tragic loss. THE tightest band on late night by far.
Not even close. I like the guest drummers, but that's the only pro on the stage at the time.
Its a great jersey and theyll wear orange helmets too!! GDG!
Cool
what's the song they're playing in the intro

Someone just discovered math.
I thought it would be Mack Tonight
Someone go get Kevin Hart's Mark Twain Award and give it to Keenan! Kevin is done with it. ❤
Quack quack quack
It’s knuckle puck time
It’s wild reflecting on how long Kenan has strategically upset the French.
Omg I thought they already did the damn Olympics. Dammit.
What Black Eyed peas sketch are they talking about?
Quack. Quack. Quack. Quack. Quack. Quack. Quack. Quack. Quack. Quack. Quack.
Sign 🖋 and frame 🖼 that dope jersey
It's perfect, because most fans don't know anything about the games either.
put it on you tube
or I will never see it
I once had a goldfish.
Nothing about the beavis and butthead sketch??
Kenan..Way Kool.. Olympics Way Suck *
Hope Keenan is feeling okay...he seems to bit uncomfortable/breathing...
I love Keenan!! He's a class act, funny guy and loved by all. Probably why they paird him with trans/homophobe kevin hart: the hateful, non-funny man. Opposites, to cover all their bases. Shame, cuz i would totally have watched kenan's commentary.
Gross to see him divorced and immediately dating 20 year olds hes been "mentoring"
Kenan has to be tired from carrying SNL.
Love Kenan!
But not in a gay way.
And whose choice was that?
Something seems odd. why isn't he smiling
Sorry to say Keenan’s a glorified extra at SNL. Not sure why he ever got a job there or how he’s been allowed to stay so long. Talk of him taking over Lorne’s job is pure insanity.
Seriously??!
Wow!
He's literally the best choice to take over SNL! He's been leading the sketch shows his whole life!
Kenan Thompson, probably one of the least humorous member of the SNL alumni. Contrast him with Eddie Murphy, now there is one funny guy!
Never thought this dude was funny or talented. Remember him from Nickelodeon’s all that.
Love Keenan!!
