Oh, her home is so thoughtful and considered and eclectic and unique, just like all our homes should be! She was just fascinating… I seriously could listen to her talk all day! Thank you!❤
I love the brick wall that climbs up all four floors of the home. The host has the courage to incorporate everything that she loves into her space. What a lovely view to the sea!
I LOVE her style . What a beautiful, perfectly comfortable space and by the ocean... What's not to love?! The expoaed brick, stairs, that pink sprt of seashell plaster color .. dreamy!
I really loved this home and it's owner. I've been renovating my home for years and second guessing myself throughout to the point I go long periods accomplishing nothing and something about her, her home and this episode just made me stop and think, I can do anything I want with my home and I'm the only one who needs to like it. I feel freed to carry on now.
I feel the same way. In America we are kinda trained to think about the next owner and will the next buyer like this or that and it has stopped me from doing a lot of what I want. We also worry about what other people will think about a beat up painting or a chipped piece of furniture. My husband is always so worried about everything being perfect and it's hard to live that way. I'm gonna start making changes today, starting with sanding my front door down to the natural wood then just sealing it or doing wax.
This house is so different from my decorating style, but I love it. I need to be more courageous with adding color. I like how it's not at all pretentious. Well done. Thank you for showing
I follow this great show almost daily. In my opinion, this is one of those houses where the owner/designer has embraced the history and floor plan of the house and shows what you can get out of seemingly out-of-date spaces. Regardless of whether it is my taste, it has a very individual touch, which I really appreciate, especially that the designer is not one of those people who praises her things and design like a saleswoman.
The sealed pink plaster walls (genius) and the aubergine and lilac cabinets are only a few of the many, many things that I love about Sophie's home. Give me a smaller older home like this with a tasteful, eclectic, eccentric jumble of art, vintage items and daring color choices to an ostentatious McMansion any day. Every inch of this home and Sophie's impeccable taste speaks to me. Yay, Sophie.
The feeling that home is sanctuary and a calm, relaxing place resonates throughout so many of these tours wherever they are in the world. It gives testimony to the universal need we all feel as humans to be protected. It's something we all share! Thank you for sharing your home with us. 😊🎉❤
I love seeing this British seaside home. The hostess has such a pleasing voice, which made the tour all the better. Her fabrics and colors make the home so interesting.
I am 52 but i need this lady to adopt me and nurture me. So calming and I feel that she treads very lightly upon the earth and that this is really important to her.
All your choices are so beautiful and appealing to me. The fabrics are perfect. The prints are perfect. The colors are perfect. The shape of things and furniture is perfect. I’d love to see other things you’ve done that’s also interesting so glad to have seen this it’s inspiring!
That sealed plaster is divine, looks so beautiful!!! This whole home is so stunning. I absolutely love the sitting room with the plaster walls, it loos beyond cosy.Love this home.
I understand why you kept the unaltered plaster in your living room. I have a very similar color painted on the walls in my dining room and living room. It’s so soothing and changes with the sunlight throughout the day.
Oh my, what a lovely house. I like the build-in snook adjacent/across to the entryway from the stairs way. I like the dinning areas and its juxtaposition. Her kitchen is one of those to envision one to have. Her dress is beautiful organic design. Her home is magnificent a dreamy, comfortable, sophisticated and comfortable one of a kind for a down to Earth person, as her. 🙏
I LOVE her dress. It's like a big wedding cake. So fun! And the house is so calm. I also LOVE the plastered walls. One of my very favourite textures and colours of any walls I've ever seen. It's what I would want in my home. Living by the sea is a luxury... all the negative ions are a blessing.
Oh yeah reorder the vases and say a prayer for all us families on tight budgets.my husband is self employed his main contract w the state was cancelled abruptly. Thank God he works two other part time jobs so we are hanging on. It is tough though. I'm disabled with MS so he's our sole provider. We just bought our home but he is looking for a job to replace that income and we have faith we will be in a better place soon.Just continue to save some money but don't let situations like mine make you feel guilty. Just pray for us. Love your channel.
Such a beautifully calming and immensely personal home, and I really enjoyed listening to the owner explaining how it all evolved. I just feel rather embarrassed that I personally couldn’t live with such a small wardrobe!
And, totally understand what she said at the end about it’s easier to make decisions for clients but hard to make decisions for herself… I feel the same way… I am an extremely low-key interior, designer, but I have found this recently true!
Sophie's antique light filled home reflects her artistic sensibility in every hue and every object . This was delightful to watch and listen to and most inspiring. It also did something special, it made me look and appreciate my own space more :)Thank you! ❤
Your home is wonderful..it’s like a box of chocolates it is all stunning and I don’t which part to choose..what I found amazing was that you got the Reno done in 18 weeks..you must have good tradies working with you..tools down for a cuppa I reckon..fantastic to say the least.. 🎯🎯🎯🎯🎯
Would love to see an, "artist at work episode with those couches. They are amazing and decadent. English couches epitomize a comfy bucolic feeling. American couches in stores are soo doll housey. I love her couches!
Soul domestics. Artist domestics. Lovely. This place is like a *pink, patina-ed chaise lounge - languid and sweet. -Like her, and wish she, and all her gentle smarts, would be a neighbor of mine. Her views to the ocean only add to the treasure and gentle vibrancy to all of this.
Funny, I was just thinking how calming her home is, when she described her home as a safe, calm space. Also, I need to be near water; 37 years on the Atlantic Ocean on an island in Georgia (USA) and now I am on one of the many large lakes in Central Florida. Her choice of colors would work very well for me, but my landlord does not allow a change of color, as I am a renter.
Adorable casa tan británica en su estilo. Disfruté la sencillez y calidez de todos los elementos, la mesa lateral de mimbre de mis favoritos en la casa. Los sillones todos tan cálidos❤
I adore this home and homeowner. Perfectly pared down, with the most lovely blend of paint colors. Choosing to allow the natural color of the plaster to take stage was thoughtful and ingenious ❣️ I am obsessed with that Conrad wicker console, and I don't too easily get obsessed. Very well done.
A delightful interior in an equally desirable house and location. Love Georgian houses and this home is just gorgeous…love also the styling and thinking behind the design……..😊
What a beautiful home and such an artistic person. I just love this home so much and also love when you do the British homes. The kitchen cupboards in the brown were amazing and the wonderful sitting area beside the kitchen. I painted one of. my homes inside same pink colour and now seeing this home, miss it so.
Home worthy thank you for bringing us homes each week. If we can have one each week I'd appreciate it greatly. Thank you so much for sharing Could you please link her dress.
First off loved the hair. Reminded me of Alison Moyet back in the day. Also love the lux lace of the dress and those buckle shoes are the bee's knees! 🐝. You've done very well to contain all your wardrobe in a dresser and armoire, esp for someone with a fashion history past! I have WAY TOO MANY CLOTHES! Loved that you have a few nautical themed things around but you didn't hit us over the head with the fact that you live by the ocean. We in the US have a terrible habit of doing that. Thanks for sharing!🙌
The British episodes are the best! 🇬🇧 🇬🇧
Yes, they are. Along with those from NYC.
I love and have been heavily influenced by English style!
I so agree as I am a tad biased being British… 😊❤
Yes ,I think they are!! Congrats
Absolutely agree! The keep the soul of the home! The decor just adds so much nostalgia as well!
Not only is her home impeccable but she is so relaxing to listen to describe her beautiful space.
Oh. My. I’m in love. Soft, soulful and warm. So lovely. Please please don’t ever change the natural plaster walls…
Oh, her home is so thoughtful and considered and eclectic and unique, just like all our homes should be! She was just fascinating… I seriously could listen to her talk all day! Thank you!❤

The decor might not be my cup of tea, but there's something undeniably captivating about this home and the hostess' passion.
This house is so different from my decorating style, but I love it. I need to be more courageous with adding color. I like how it's not at all pretentious. Well done. Thank you for showing
Sophie's home is a sweetest-ever "cocoon" of finely curated taste. I LOVE everything about it!!! Thank you ♥
I love this home! The desaturated colours are gorgeous. Traditional English homes are my favourite; print mixing is always done so effortlessly.

Sophie's relaxed delivery style was also a pleasure!

Absolutely! ❤
Great home of character and love. Love how her romantic, girly babydoll dress is juxtaposed with the black, severe combat boots!
Absolutely lovely. Inspired by her use of lilac and pink and lavender.

Love the exposed plaster in the living room.❤ Such a lovely home.
I love seeing this British seaside home. The hostess has such a pleasing voice, which made the tour all the better. Her fabrics and colors make the home so interesting.
I enjoyed the homeowner and the home. I like her choices, and how she has kept the character of the old home and yet made it her own. Kudos !
LOVE THIS BEAUTIFUL HOME!!!💜🩵🤎🖤💚💙💛🤍
Absolutely love this beautiful thoughtful home. So much personality and very pretty touches.

Love this old Georgian home. She has decorated her home beautifully
The chair in the sitting area/kitchen is amazing ❤ The whole house is fabulous. There is a lot to learn looking at this warm, quaint home. Love it 🎉
The plasterwork which was left alone is beautiful, the whole room is so serene.
These homeowners always feature their adorable pets. So cute! Beautiful home. It’s so cozy. Thank you for sharing!
I want her dress...adorable.
That lace is THE REAL DEAL!❤
You can, it's a Cecilie Bahnsen.
That plaster makes this home even more beautiful!
What a gorgeous home ❤❤
I love the texture of your dress-lounge wear you are wearing. Your house is beautiful! Thank you for sharing.
I understand why you kept the unaltered plaster in your living room. I have a very similar color painted on the walls in my dining room and living room. It’s so soothing and changes with the sunlight throughout the day.
Love your style and by the sea. Conrad table and Queen story art are my fave
I love that she uses what the client already has
I adore your taste and love Queen Mum art and Conran table. Very cozy and elegant
I also love the British episodes!!Just love this home ♥️♥️♥️

A new favorite. The incorporating of old and treasured truly expresses home. Loved it
May we start with this lady’s beautiful dress and haircut? We knew we were in for a fantastic view of her home by just viewing her as a person!
I was just admiring her hair and wondering what mine would look like short and blonde 😂
Sophie's antique light filled home reflects her artistic sensibility in every hue and every object . This was delightful to watch and listen to and most inspiring. It also did something special, it made me look and appreciate my own space more :)Thank you! ❤

That portrait of queen Victoria is absolutely stunning and amazing! Great style- very enjoyable
Would love to see an, "artist at work episode with those couches. They are amazing and decadent. English couches epitomize a comfy bucolic feeling. American couches in stores are soo doll housey. I love her couches!
Really lovely. Gorgeous mauve paint in the kitchen… what a feeling for color. I also love the still life next to the kitchen

I love that an old house became renewed. Yes, she needs working fire places. Beautiful home.
I enjoy her decorating style. It's very classy and artistic at the same time. Enjoyed this episode very much.
I just absolutely love folks insulated from the real world reality. Must be nice. Cheers! ❤😊😢
