I really appreciate Hasbro's effort to give a Barry Windsor-Smith look to the unhelmeted Logan head but I feel they didn't push that expression enough. That scream feels very "halfway", like an awkwardly paused movie photogram.
I got the Gambit yesterday and was pleasantly surprised by how good it was, (cause i hate the jacket on every other figure lol) really hoping to find Beast soon, he looks sooooooooo great, also he's my favorite Mutant **winces preparing for people to yell at me**
The only issue with the unmasked weapon x head is its eyebrow paint. Seems like it's the whole face but it's not. Dipping a detailing brush in matte clear coat and gently painting the eyebrow with it will remove them. Looks great without any but a toothpick and some matte black will get the job done however you like it.
If we're talking about how they could reuse that Gambit body, I'm calling a Exiles Gambit. That version of him was a vampire working on the Weapon X team. So, a pretty cool alternate version and maybe a Horseman of Apocalypse Death version. They could get some use out of it.
Well, I mean, everything is removable and changeable with some heat, a knife, and some clay, haha. I was saying that the torso was molded specifically for that piece, making it Gambit unique.
Seeing your Beast custom reminds me of probably my very first custom Marvel figure: I took the old 90's ToyBiz Weapon X figure and painted it blue to make a custom Beast. Used it for years and I loved it too
I was going to stop at Jubilee, Blink, Beast and Gambit. But, dang it, I think I am going to get the whole series now. (I guess I don't really need hot water.)
So that's exactly what I did for the Reese custom. I use the killmonger pants and kitbashed it with the name or upper body, and gave him Poe dameron's jacket as a vest, the vest is kind of tight but it works

I don't know why everyone poses the Gambit throwing effect upside down... try throwing a card, you throw it by bringing your hand to your chest and then out. Your palm is basically facing up. Gambit effect is designed correctly.
Upside down? I get that the effect is supposed to go in, I've explained that on Bullseye and Ronin. And that works here for the cards, but not the energy trail closer to the fingers. The thicker bulb part should be on the outside, the trailing off energy to the inside, towards the chest.

If you made a stand with black measurement lines on a white backdrop it would be a quick way to check the figure size and double up as a police mug-shot diorama.
I haven't had a problem with Forge's Boot details but his damn torso and knee on the robot side are loose and I can't stand him straight. I also managed to get the case of QC ridden X-men so my excitement for this wave came down a few pegs. I won't be happy until I get a proper anatomically correct/comic accurate Weapon X with a brainwashing box as a cod-piece/censor. Caliban had this same look when he first joined X-Force too.
U can always heat up the joint with the blow dryer or throw that part in hot water for that jubilee tight leg, the same thing happen with my Sabertooth ab crunch until I threw in under the sink and it fixed, and it’s fine now
I have zero interest in the Caliban build a figure, and every time that is the case, Hasbro generally comes out with a wave of figures that I want the majority of, so I kinda force myself to get the baf. I have to get the Beast, Jubilee, Gambit, and Forge... and then you add that the three remaining figures aren't bad and fit in nicely and are nice additions(nothing wrong with more bad guys, Wolvie and even the Blink figure is nice) So I'm stuck with getting the whole wave even though I don't remotely at all care for this version of Caliban.
I love the figure and sculpt so much, but it really bothers me that Jubilee didn't even come with the firework effects coming out of her hands. Every other character that shoots something (Storm, Cyclops, Gambit, etc.) - just really lame that she didn't. That was the thing I was most excited about - they absolutely KILLED it with Gambit with his cards and getting that done in clear plastic beautifully. Really a disappointment that she doesn't have her fireworks blasts
Hooooray! Managed to squeeze in a pre order for figuarts PS4 spiderman on HLJ!!! I am weirdly happy, considering I have absolutely no attachment to the spiderman franchise. This figure however looks so good and the articulation and overall engineering seems to be absolutely superb.
This is probably not a very popular opinion but I would really love to see a Marauders set. I know they are coming out with a Mr sinister build a figure soon and they have already made a Saber-tooth, But I think they have a lot of potential as a figure set. I like some of the more exotic and out there characters like Prism. He is the only living crystal character that I am aware of and he doesn't get book time. (what is the phrase that is the equivalent of "screen time" in comics anyway?). Every time you see him, he always dies in a few pages. What does he eat? does he even need to take in energy? Was he born that way or was he born looking like most people and then when puberty kicked in did his body start to become crystaline? Or did Sinister turn him into living crystal? and what would his voice sound like? since he doesn't have fleshy lungs of a diaphragm, I think maybe his voice sounds like when you see those people on the telethon that fill glasses full of water and run their fingers around the rim. Like a high pitched whistling sound. Blockbuster, Scalp Hunter, Vertigo, Malice, Harpoon etc, I could totally see them as a set. And how about a Nimrod build a figure? that would be pretty cool to. They could have the old Hellfire club in the set

I picked up jubilee and beast yesterday from GameStop and I love them so far. I'm hoping they release a calm beast head in the future like what they did for onslaught and just release it in another wave. I have it posed right now reading a book and he looks very shocked at what he's reading.

If you heat up weapon X’s belt and cross the legs you can pull the belt off without breaking it and use the extra head he comes with to make him into Farrell wolverine

You should use the Disco Dazzler effects for Jubilee.

That collar neck thingie for Gambit is actually removable if you heat it up. So they can use the torso for someone else if they fill in the hole.

I think Forge’s shoulder harness is from Ultimate Captain America (and Forge should have a larger, round belt buckle and a Cyclops-style leg strap).

No, not really. Forge is a little loose in the torso but not a deal breaker, I've fixed worse.

I overpaid on nippon-yasan for PS4 Spidey, but grabbed FFH Spidey when HLJ put them back up.

I like the Amazing Yamaguchi well enough, especially for that shelf, and then trench tails is not as bad a Magneto or Batman capes.
