Just a quick reminder, since day one (episode 1) mob knew that reigen was lying but he still didn’t care about it. You can really appreciate the first episode
especially, now that you know mob knew all along, you see their dynamic in a different light. whereas when you first watch it, you might miss that mob put a forcefield up around reigen, however the second time around, its much more noticeable. also, once you know that hes always known, when mob asks "why didn't you do anything", the first time he seems oblivious to reigen, the second time, he seems like hes teasing him lol
actually no, in the manga only in the very last arc mob finds out that reigen has been lying to him all the time, that part wasn't animated yet
@@patrycja3109 no, it was just reigen admitting it since he's never vocally said it. It's a method ppl use as closure; even if it's something you both know, if it's never said out loud between the people involved, it's not considered acknowledged or dealt with because there are still negative feelings associated with at least one side of the issue, whether it be mobs betrayal or resentment or reigens guilt.

@@patrycja3109 well, it's both. Reigen wasn't really honest with him about it up until that part, which is what shigeo had a problem with. After hearing reigen admit to what they both knew and learning reigens viewpoint, he calmed down and accepted himself. so, we're both right! Lol and ofc, no problem!

6:42 i really love this shot that reveals mob to us. hes the main character, but he doesnt actually appear until around a third through the episode. and when he does its a far off establishing shot that makes us think the brown haired guy holding the phone is reigens 'secret weapon.' but a car drives away and reveals a character with so little detail you almost assume hes a background extra. but its our boy mob :) excellent shot composition imo

I'm so happy mob psycho got the attention it deserved,before season 2 mob psycho was criminaly underrated because of OPM but now so many people have realised how good this anime is.

It's better than ever, I watched this because I seen alot of One punch man anime but when I see the Mob psycho that got me attention and I love it
because we have to wait for OPM :D and well the Drawing is more like webcomics, less detailed, but iam happy if it speeds up episodes haha
Even back at Episode 1 the animation is on Point!
Actually alot of series make a very well animated first episode so that people would start with a good impression. The difference between death parade ep1 and ep2 highlights it. They increase the episode quality a little for the first ep. Mob psycho is special tho because quality doesnt change after this episode plus to flex even more first episodes of mob s1 and mob s2 include a 360° camera movement sequence with mob and both are amazingly well done. Truly the best animated series.

Rewatching this episode made me really appreciate how much Mob has grown since then. And the best part was that the character growth felt so natural; ONE is a phenomenal writer.
Actually, ONE simple style look better than the majority of the 'normal' animes, and the opening, DAMN !

I was always hesitant when I tried to start watching this anime, but as soon as I got through the first episode, I couldn’t stop watching. It quickly and easily shot up to my favorite anime, especially with the masterfully crafted openings

Comes that time again where I find a show, get addicted, and cry when it's over. A never ending cycle.
About a year ago, I watched this on a whim since it was in my recommended, and had no Idea how much I was going to fall in love with it. Definitely one of, if not, my favorite anime ever.

And first one to appear in the blue suit is reigen. Or not. Maybe. But I find it very funny
One does a fantastic job at introducing his main characters. Saitama was introduced as a badass and brave superhero character, about to go face to face with a world threatening villain, only for us to find out that he was never in any danger and he was more interested in the fight itself rather than saving the world. Instead of feeling relief that he just saved the world, he complains that the fight was too easy.
Mob is introduced in pretty much the opposite way. The episode sets up Reigen to be the focus of the show, and Mob looks like a background character. The first time you see Mob’s face, he’s just unceremoniously walking through a door like any background character would. But then Mob surprises the audience when he’s able to take down the spirit on his own in less than 5 seconds without breaking a sweat.

reigen arataka has balls of steel. He is a normal person who goes to places where Mob explicitly says normal people wouldn't survive.
Quite possibly my favourite anime of all time, season 2 cemented that 😁 Good Job for getting a full ep out there Crunchyroll 👍🏻
The best serie that came out in the last few years or even more, production wise, story and animation wise.
Animation wise it just created a new standart in japanese animation and western animation. Showing that every episode can contain incredible animation, like for a final of a normal show !! But this time the animation is incredible in every episode of both Season. The staff behind this, not only adapted the original story of Mob Psycho 100 in an incredible way, but also used it as support for their own creativity, by using the show as a playground for animators but also by experimenting new technics like "Paint on Glass" animation. The animation not only is mindblowing by it's own but also greatly help the story by adding a powerfull touch with his incredible "character acting" animation. And the music by Kenji Kawai using a new instrument just to give the music an unique sound give the show an incredible feel.
If Redline is the best animated movie, Mob psycho 100 S1 and S2 are the best animated serie.

oh boy first episode
Even though the guy is a conman... H'es doing actual research and legwork. He's also giving Mob a chance to practice and focus while doing productive work. Granted he's stiffing the kid on pay and he's lying thorugh his teeth about his own skills. However there is good being done here... just swirled in with a lot of bad.
I'm surprised Crunchyroll uploaded this. That's pretty cool. Also, watching episode 1 again makes you realize how much development Mob got. He's mostly a different character by the end of season 2. I hope Bones announces a season 3 soon so that the rest of the manga can be adapted. It has good closure for Mob's story.
The intro is what looks to be the Mogami fight scene, but with different spirits. I also loved the one we got, everything was masterfully done..

@@realswobby you know what, I went to check the Manga, just in case and you were right. I don't know why I had that feeling, or why I did that association... It's weird for me. Perhaps I recognized the city has being the battle place, because this scene doesn't occur anywhere else in the Manga.... After this we got God Dimple, the alien arc and Mob vs.???, and then it's finished (I'm assuming the next season will finish the trilogy). I'm sorry, I don't know how I made that mistake.
@@MrRetlav People say that this first battle with these spirits is completely original, it doesn't happen in the manga at all. I always thought it shows some different world or a dream, or it's something like a test for Mob - like someone wanted to check out where are his power limits.

And thanks for the spoilers about last arcs btw :p I think I can read the manga to the very end at this point (tho I knew from the 5th episode of season 1 that ??? has to be some different powerful being possessing Mob or something)... I knew I won't be able to avoid spoilers till the next anime season...

Kelby Rock he didn’t actually. He was at his peak in the president fight, because he switched between emotions many, many times during the fight. But in the Mogami fight he just stayed at 100% courage, until he lost control and went ???.
Well, Mogami was defeated by Mob 100% courage with minor difficult, the only ones that caused problems were the spirits that even Mogami couldn't control, instead Toichiro surpassed 100% courage in his maximum power and would have defeated him if he didn't get out of control
MKalm91 I mean even mob himself said “i might die” when fighting the president. Meaning that if the president didn’t lose control of his 100% power mob might have gone ???. The only reason he won was because he lost control. Mobs lack of grasp on the situation is also explained better in the manga
