    Just got this in so can’t speak to tent yet, but can say how great Brad was during my search. He took a ton of time walking me through his tents and even some extra time helping me with other backcountry questions. Easy to support a company like this and gravy on top when the products are always great!

    I’d like to see them off an inner nest that only covers half the inner space. Be a great option for the solo hunter with the 2p tent

      Pretty sure on Rokslide I saw Brad saying they will be offering half nests.

      Those are cool so it’s similar to a standard double wall tent with a vestibule so you have gear storage and it’s easier to enter/exit without the inner tent getting wet from the rain.

    Nice overview on these two new tents ⛺️ I recently saw these two new tents while looking through the GoHunt gear shop.
    I have 352 points in the shop right now. I am debating between the 2P Argali and the Seek Outside Silex with a stove jack and a stove or to take advantage of the current 30% off sale on Mystery Ranch and get a Metcalf or Beartooth 80.

      Id go with the silex/stove combo

    On the 2 person tent, can you fit a long or long-wide sleeping pad on one side of the pole with the insert being used? I’m just under 6’4”.

  • @brianrodman1033
    @brianrodman1033 Год назад

    These look promising. That 2 person model is really affordable and I’m still pretty awestruck over how little it weighs. Was the middle pole factored into that 1.2 lbs weight? Even if it wasn’t it’s still damn impressive.

  • @timg7627
    @timg7627 Год назад

    These look really well designed and manufactured. Even though it’s a cool innovation I have to question the removable stove jack. It seems that it adds a lot of stitching and another zipper only to save 2 ounces with the jack removed. Seems like not having the removable stove jack feature would also save about 2 ounces overall but maybe I’m missing something.
    With that being said the 2P version is still on my short list of tents to purchase.

      @@kylecirincione6691 until thoughts is good. Haven’t had a chance to run it inside the tent. I found it for $200 unused. It’s the 12” and I would personally buy the 18 if I had the choice.

    Never ran a hot tent or stove setup... may be a dumb question but is it safe to run a stove and insert with the heat the stove puts off? Or is floor less the only way to go. New to this so any recommendation is appreciated

    • @GOHUNT
      @GOHUNT  Год назад +2

      Hey Tyler, great question!
      We sent this one over to Brady to get you a seasoned response. He said that from his experience, floor-less is typically the way to go because there is less of a bug concern in the late season (typically when you'd run a stove) and it also saves room in the pack. That said, using an insert is certainly an option and from what he's come across, and it's completely safe.
      Hope this helps! We appreciate you reaching out.

      Actually you cannot use the @argalli insert with a stove. There is no stove jack in that insert.

    Just got the 4 person, looking forward to running on the early archery Kiabab hunt. What’s the recommend stove/ size for when I take it to Colorado in November?

    • @trailkreitzer9163
      @trailkreitzer9163 Год назад +1

      Hi Simon, I'd suggest either medium or large stove. Medium will shave some weight, the large will allow you to put larger logs in for fuel. Personally, I'd carry a little extra weight for longer burn time. Best of luck!
