I actually had a play through in which Italy attacked me (as Neo-Ottoman Empire in axis) and it ended up getting annexed by Yugoslavia, before it got annexed by Germany. The war pretty much was over when the Soviet Union surrendered and became a puppet state of mine, and U.K. had a civil war. The axis ended up winning. Before Germany had a civil war and became democratic, I annexed Hungary, Liberia took over The Gambia, and France had a civil war for neutrality.
As an Italian I founded this very funny, and i would like to point out some things about the "butthurt" italians in the comment section: 1) The salty comments come from users with a Mussolini profile picture or with some fascist words in their nickname, that alone should tell you how much high their IQ and critical thinking is. 2) In Italy the subject of ww2 is pretty "controversial" for he fact that many young italian men died in an useless war because mussolini and the fascist oligarchy wanted to play with the big boys. So when people make fun of the italian miltary campaign in ww2, a lot of italians think that they are making fun of the average italian soldier, instead of the fucked up high command. Still great job in this video, hope you make others :)

I've only had the Italy AI do fairly decent at the game one time but that was only because I anticipated the AI being shit in the early game and helped it out so in late game it was decent.
A.I Italy suicides it's whole fucking army in sea convoys sending it to ethiopia or some stupid shit, 2 million casualties in 2 years and only 20 divisions left. A.I is broken. But in MP, Italy is so legit.
Actually, last game I have been playing as Britain, got France to join me in fighting Germany when trying to take claim Sudetenland. Germany was doing okayish, only slightly winning at first, then civil war erupts in Germany and they got crushed. That only left Italy, who joined in the German civil war against us. Though they had Austria and Hungary joining them as well, and later Nationalist Spain. So, they actually did a lot better than Germany last game, Germany got wrecked because of a civil war.

I staged succesful coups in Austria, turkey, yugoslavia, spain and hungary, after which everyone but hungary proceeded to abandon me in favor of the Axis and I got conquered by Greece.
