Thanks! I ordered one a long time ago, but never installed. My 2011 Elantra Touring is now at 95K so I figured it's time. It should be a very similar process.
Hi, I saw your video, because I have a 2007 Hyundai Elantra, and lately I feel a strong gas smell particularly in that area, when I look under the car I watch this piece, I think it must be congested, notice that it is easy to change
So the fuel tank filter is different from the fuel pump filter right? Because that according to other videos on this car is located under the back seat in the center?
+dddarien From what I've been able to gather, it keeps dirty air from coming into the fuel tank. I've read that if you drive a lot on dirt roads, it's better to change it as directed in the owner's manual. Otherwise it may not be as necessary.
It could if you failed to securely place the connections back in place, or severed one of the vacuum hoses. But it everything was done correctly it shouldn't
Hey man I just smoke tested my car and had a evap leak coming from that fuel tank air filter so I'm definitely replacing it I think that's what was causing my check engine light
This simple video is giving me the confidence to do the work myself and save a bunch of money.⭐⭐⭐

2008 here with 157K miles and zero problems. Never changed this part and never had any engine light. I don't see any point on change that part.

Nice. I've got a '10 Elantra. Subbed.
Do you need to remove the pressure in the lines before removing the hoses?
I didn't remove any pressure.
Just open you gas tank cap
Hyundia elantra2008 same?
Whats the function of that part is it like to aerate the fuel tank or something?

+dddarien Every fuel tank is vented in some way. These models just have a filter in place, but it isn't very common for many other brands.
How to change the air filter in fuel tank Santa fee
I have a 2010 Elantra GLS, is this part # for that model. I'm not sure if it matches with any '10 elantra model.
+PhoenixOrichimaru I'm sure it would be the same.
Where did you purchase it from? I tried looking for it, no luck. I found a similar one on carsid
I got mine off of Ebay. In the video you will see the model number near the beginning. You should be able to Google it and find places that sell it.
Can that trigger a code ? P0455
