She has added "Elvish" to her list of languages. Professor Tolkien indeed invented a complete language for LOTR, which she sings in her phenomenal rendition of "May It Be".

Folks, she is every bit as marvelous a singer as she was here, but now with a stage presence and confidence that allows her to move between genres with skill and grace. Don't miss her concert if you have a chance to experience her live. She is a world treasure!
@Írien Lindallë Yes, Jackie has never claimed to be an opera singer because if she did she would laughed off the stage. Her voice is nowhere near good enough for opera. She has a huge net worth because she was marketed as a gift to the earth from the throne of God. And people bought the hype. So now she is wealthy and never has to work a day in her life every again unless she chooses to.
@@richardconnelly7141 Technically, Amira's voice is leagues ahead of Jackie's. Jackie does not hit high notes because she can't; her voice would break if she tried. I thought, years ago, that she was holding back to protect her vocal chords because she was so young. Turns out, that was true at the time, but now it's obvious she just doesn't have the range. And her vibrato technique remains abysmal as it always has been. Jackie's strength has never been her range; her lows are not that low and her highs are not that high. Her strength is the purity of her voice. But even that, as good as it is, is not the best. Hayley Westenra is known for purity of her vocals. Jackie is up there, but not at the top by any means.
JACKIE EVANCHO! Let us all realize that Jackie's singing is glorious! It is foolish to analyze whether she is straining her voice. Oh my God-let's appreciate the God-given talent this young diva offers to us. What a joy!
Nessun Dorma is a classic song in opera, but in here she is showing entirely new way of expression. It is very unique and beautiful expressions!!! Especially, her breathing and articulations are beyond descriptions!
Watch her hands...only JUST 11.. deep waters here... this little girl is SOOOO connected;; My God .. that ending is pure astonishment to me .. who has EVER sung like this before... thank you lord for her and her loved ones.
Im speechless... the way she bits the notes was phenomenal especially shes only just 11! Im thankful that God gave us, in our generation, this angel and her healing voice!
Miss Evancho singing this song on AGT at 11 years old will never to be done again , this just may be her finest Voice , her finest Song , she may never sing this again , it can not be repeated as it's that good , Music History will note
And just for the record, I am NOT speaking from a technical perspective, but rather "PURE DELIVERY" which is what really matters in all avenues of music. When you take into account Jackie's age (11) and the seemingly effortless flow of her notes (especially her last 30 to 35 seconds), you would have to be TOTALLY BLIND (and deaf!) to not recognize this as a WORLD-CLASS performance.
When I see "GREAT PERFORMANCES" and think that this concert is performed by an 11 year old child, I am choked up at what a phenomenal achievement that is. What's more, it's the first of 3 concerts she had performed for PBS within a 4 year period. Whatever criticisms her detractors use to discredit her, it cannot be denied that Jackie's history as a classical crossover artist is unprecedented and speaks to her prodigious talent. At age 19 now, Jackie is the most versatile young soprano artist today, with 8 consecutive albums to hit #1 on the Classical chart, and still exploring her potential.
She did it to me again. I haven't listened to this performance for a couple of weeks. I had tears running down my cheeks, and I am a 70 year old grandfather.
Six years ago, come summertime, I was about to give up all hope of finding a program worth watching on TV when I heard a PBS announcer talking about another of their great performances concerts starting in a few minutes. So, thinking that most of those I had seen were pretty good, I stuck around. What followed was Jackie Evancho performing the most incredibly beautiful and flawless vocal concert I had ever seen and heard, and the only one in my 77 years that actually moved me to tears.
The first time I heard this performance I was stunned. It was like this little girl was sending an aural love letter to my inner child, wide eyed and innocent and untouched by the years. Amazing.
I had to close my eyes to appreciate her voice (she is such a pretty child, though her voice is so mature). Well done Jackie Evancho. So well done...............:)
I can't stop listening to her sing this song, and I get chills every time. I love all of her classical songs the best as she sings with all her heart and soul. Thank you, Jackie, for bringing more beauty back into the world through exceptional music.
JACKIE EVANCHO! Jackie was about eleven (11) years old when she performed this song on PBS. It was brilliantly sung. However Jackie is now 14 years of age and her voice is even richer and more mature. I encourage everyone to search for Jackie's performance of "The Summer Knows," where you can see her as she is today. Even more brilliant and just as angelic!
Sweetheart, I fell in love with you the first time I saw you on Americas Got Talent. So talented, so beautiful, you are a gift from Heaven! God bless you & may all your dreams come true. Thank you for sharing your lovely voice with the world!

Oh, Good Grief. This is unbelievable. She was 11 when she did this? Absolute perfection. I have not heard this video much but -- well, just good grief. What a miracle Jackie is.
To those who say her voice is not good enough for opera, if her voice makes you feel anything, then she is a gift. Not all singers can move people’s feelings in that way! Your opinion may be valid on technique and whatever, but don’t trash her.
Jackie has brought audiences to their feet in tears singing opera, because they have no expectations of her to measure up to the demands of operatic technique. Placido Domingo and other opera singers have performed/recorded contemporary love songs with no demands upon them to sing with other than their operatic voices. An aria sung outside the opera house as a concert piece may be performed by any artist in his/her particular vocal style. Jackie is a phenomenon (prodigy) who has never had an intention to appeal to the internet critics who's classical sensibilities seem threatened. David Foster said in the "The Making of Dream With Me" that she would "get flack for recording Nessun Dorma, but those people won't buy the album anyway". Let them complain. Their criticisms are irrelevant, unless they can't stifle the compulsion to be rude and disrespectful of Jackie, as many have been in the past.

It looks as though she did this song and "Angel" in the same evening - do not know in what order, but dang two "Great Performances" in one evening. Doing this at age 11 is absolutely an amazing feat if not a record for one so young at the time. And hearing her now at 18, well, she just keeps on giving us that wonderful voice!!! While help with this concert was provided by producer David Foster, guest performer Conrad Tao (another prodigy), and a children's choir, the onus of the concert rested on the tiny shoulders of this young lady, Jackie. Imagine, at age 11, being responsible for the success of what was, in the final analysis, a fundraising tool. So many things could have gone wrong...but Jackie never misses.
In 2018 there is now a handful of young female singers who can take this song on and impress the world...Amira, Patricia, Laura....but none of them, none possess the crystal clear softness of Jackie Evancho. In a lifetime blessed with being able to listen to great singers....Jackie is simply the best!
In November, I was able to attend Jackie's concert in Wabash, Indiana. Now 19, she has become the finest female vocalist that I have ever seen and heard. I first saw her in person in Kalamazoo, Michigan in December of 2015. At that time, she performed the selected songs beautifully, as always, but seemed a bit uncertain with her introductions. Now, she has become not only a great singer, but a simply captivating personality who obviously enjoys being a really professional entertainer.
Richard Olsen, I too was at the Wabash concert. I was 1st row center. Jackie's voice is The Voice of the Millennia! I hope that now in January of 2021 we will soon be able to attend live concerts.
This production is huge and the faith that someone placed on her was astronomical. That anyone could arrange a production around an 11 year old speaks volumes. Ms. Evancho can't be measured, this is beyond the scales of talent.
This child of 11 has never had voice training, just some performance coaching, yet she delivers 15 songs of equal brilliance in this her first of 3 concerts for PBS, the next at age 12 and again at age 14 still with no training. She exemplifies the definition of "child prodigy". And, she has an endearing personality and admirable character acknowledged among the 5 "best mannered people" of 2011.
@@vjhreeves It says she 'started taking voice lessons" which was at age 10. She received voice coaching from Yvie Burnett while on AGT as required, but later she and her parents rejected voice training, concerned that it would destroy her unique soprano tone and the qualities that made her special. Her mother coached her through her childhood years and made sure she saw a specialist periodically to ensure her vocal chords were protected. She began seeing renown voice coach, Joan Lader, in New York to help develop the "pop side of my voice", she said, having discovered it while recording the latest album, The Debut, and to make sure her voice remains healthy. So, she has never had formal voice training.

A voice like no other. Saw Jackie Evancho when she first appeared on America's Got Talent. I as well as many others found it hard to believe that voice came from one so young.
What a talent. What a blessing from God to enable her to bring joy to the world. Anyone who can dislike this can look in the mirror at a brainless wonder. It's obvious there is empty space between there ears. And yes I think Pavoratti would approve.
Give credit where the credit is due . To Jackie for her natural talent and countless hours of hard work . And not to some so called " god " that has never been proven to exist . That kind of thinking is silly and childish . Human don't need the help of imaginary magical beings to do great things .
Nessum Dorma is my all time favorite of Evancho's--she has other good ones; however, this is the best. I will attend her concert in Costa Mesa, Ca at Segerstrom Hall both December 14 and 15 as well as McCallum Theater in Palm Springs, Ca January 11, 2019, This will be my 9th concert--just a little obsessed!!
This is a beautiful rendition of my favorite from Italian opera. But it was hearing Pavarotti sing it for my first time that made me fall in love with him, and then opera. How wonderful to have the pleasure of two such magnificent singers in this world.
I had no idea a child could sing like this. I really enjoyed listening to her, and she has a lovely, ungrating voice. Which is more than I can say for some professionals . . .to my ear. And such a lovely girl and perfect costume. I enjoyed it so much because the voice is lovely, but that it wasn't rushed and she doesn't force it. I do not like belting singing. It was a pleasure to hear this iconic song soaring instead of bellowing. Absurd song for a child to sing, especially a girl, but just wonderful.

I don't care if she is a soprano, in this version she is singing every note that is confortable for me, and I'm a mezzosoprano, so i thought, i xoukd never sing nessum dorma, but here i found this version again after many years and when I'm prepared enough to sing that aria, i will try to get this version's sheet music to perform it, this is literally a lower key version, but it keeps the beauty of Nessum dorma, sounds as great and divine as the original higher key, and I'm thankful for that, now i know i can perform beautifully this glorious aria. 🖤🖤🖤
This Nessun Dorma may be her finest one of all of them. And I believe it's the only one without the backup choir. Her last two "vincero's" were long, strong, and pristine. Heart stopping.
There are quite a few who think that Jackie's performance of Nessun Dorma on Britain's Got Talent was best but I differ. This one is best in my opinion. Technically better, all notes strong, steadier, spot on and held longer. I believe it may be because she might be more relaxed in this venue with a conductor in front of her and some familiar faces around. And I believe this song was at or near the end of the concert. All ready settled in and going strong.
MoMoMyPup10 They did have a choir in Houston, but on that particular song it didn't sound like they were involved in it. I could be wrong. Maybe someone who was there can confirm whether or not they were.

Whenever I struggle with my faith...I listen to Jackie sing, and I know there is a God.
I agree she is absolutely incredible, but I believe she did have training, from what I read on her wiki page.
There are not enough words of praise for her voice ..........
'Heavenly sublime', might sum it up.....
Her version of this is my favorite!!!

A voice like no other. Saw Jackie Evancho when she first appeared on America's Got Talent. I as well as many others found it hard to believe that voice came from one so young.
Jackie Evancho: It is simply amazing! An angel came to light with beautiful music! Fantastic!
She has a talent beyond her years
She has since a young young child and she always will
Brilliant
Hello, how are you doing today?
Probablt the very best version, ever, of this great song....what an amazing talent..
What a talent. What a blessing from God to enable her to bring joy to the world. Anyone who can dislike this can look in the mirror at a brainless wonder. It's obvious there is empty space between there ears. And yes I think Pavoratti would approve.
No, Pavarotti would have never approved of a child singing opera arias.
@@golden-63 You have no idea of what Pavarotti would have approved of . You're opinion is meaningless .
Give credit where the credit is due . To Jackie for her natural talent and countless hours of hard work . And not to some so called " god " that has never been proven to exist . That kind of thinking is silly and childish . Human don't need the help of imaginary magical beings to do great things .
@@richdandanell2911 Yes, I do.
@@golden-63 No you don't .
Jackie is abrillint opera singer a so sweet and shy and a loveable character with her tremendous singing versatile voice!! She totaly UNIQUE!!
You're in for a treat!
This is a beautiful rendition of my favorite from Italian opera. But it was hearing Pavarotti sing it for my first time that made me fall in love with him, and then opera. How wonderful to have the pleasure of two such magnificent singers in this world.
I can't hold it and I cry, this is so beautiful Jackie...
정말 노래를 감동적으로 했구요. 전형적인 이쁜 서양소녀라 자주 듣네요.
She makes my eyes sweat. So sweet, So pure, So wonderful!
Just so utterly unbelievably beautiful. The voice of an Angel.
Another of the 3 arias Jackie performed in this Great Performances concert, the third being O Mio Babbino Caro: Ombra Mai Fu ruclips.net/video/CfDVtgWC6Pw/видео.html
Her friend, Amira, sings it excellently, too.
Jackie is totally tone perfect! Never another like her! Sh is pure brilliance!!
cada vez que la escucho, se me pone la piel de gallina.... un verdadero monstruo.... qué voz, que agudos, que amplitud vocal...
Where do young women like her come from? A gift from heaven to us is where.
Her voice is superb. As she grows older and her vocal chords develop she'll be able to hit forte and double forte.
This is the best performance of this song that's ever been recorded.
R K She is wonderful, please listen to Pavarotti.
Not designed for a soprano I'm afraid.
Dude for someone this young to have this type of vioce, as she sings this song softly and gentle. Thia is one of the most complicated songs to sing. And she makes your whole body float and be at ease and at the sametime makes your heart sing.
How old is she now??
She turned 19 on April, 9 2019
A smoking hot 19yo multi Genre" multi Platinum, professional with a penthouse in Manhattan. She is the CEO of 2 corporations and a foundation, under her own label! She does about 40 Classical Cross over concerts a year across the country and lol ruclips.net/video/a7-hPBmi_-4/видео.html
I agree with you, and every time that I see another negative comment about Jackie Evancho's music it reminds me of the plaque that is hanging on the wall at the back of our studio. It reads: "Many are the critics, but few are the artists".
that baby girl on stage sends me goose bumps.... beautiful voice xx
Those notes from 1:26-1:35 give me chills every time
Oh Jackie, you super-darl'n. I have to come back and listen to you at that so-young age doing this.
She has an amazing angel voice. Like how does that come out of her so perfectly!😮 I’m shook
Still watching this everytime since the very first day that it was uploaded,
Her voice was so powerful, cant imagine where that voice came from
Now 20 and with an amazing range... Jackie Evancho's new single. ruclips.net/video/Hl40RLU2KCQ/видео.html
Absolute perfection. And at such a young age. Marvelous!!
BRAVO! BRAVO! Fantastic rendition/interpretation! What a finale!!! Soaring, effortlessly where angels tread!!!
Never gets tiring listening to this! Fabulous voice!
tears to my eyes every time it was the last piece I sang before illness robbed me of my singing ability and and to listen to her is like listening to an angel ,THANK YOU
wow, just wow!!!! Ms Evancho is phenomenal
This is one of my favorite songs (i'm a metal head) this girl has my jaw on the floor!
likewise,it changes your perspective,my father when i was young listening to led zep said classical music was the best you can get and at 61 now i understand
@@richardconnelly7141 I'm only 38 & as a musician, I don't discriminate any music. So long as it's music, I'll play anything. I actually started out playing gospel & classical. Living in Nashville, TN I've played country, classic rock, & even did some hip hop&rap. Though I love my slipknot, avenged sevenfold, etc &metal remains my go to favorite, I still can't deny a good song in any genre. I especially can't deny talented singers.

Jackie was just 11 years and 2 days old when filming of Dream With Me in Concert started on April 11, 2011. The filming ran from April 11 thru April 14, 2011.
I do not know how to comment her performance. She is AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am speechless. WOW!!!!!! What a talented girl !!!!!!!!!
When interviewed by ant andec she has a beeming personaity as well as being a brilliant operatic singer! Jackie made me laugh with ant and deck! What wonderful angel she is! God bless you jackie!!!
Amira does it at a higher key but I prefer this
Oh meu deus! Jackie como não se impressionar e não se apaixonar?? Divinoooooooo. simplesmente divino.
i just want to go up and hug her such a beautiful voice and beautiful personality
声に神が乗っている。この曲を英国のタレント番組のゲストとして歌った時のジャッキーは、完璧に最強のオーラを放っていた。
Weren't the Boca & Houston versions without backup choir? I've listened to both and they only sound like an orchestra accompaniment.
I agree this is her best performance of this song.
Reggie Dunlop I thought in Houston that the choir was up top? Could be wrong and will check when I have the time.
MoMoMyPup10
They did have a choir in Houston, but on that particular song it didn't sound like they were involved in it. I could be wrong. Maybe someone who was there can confirm whether or not they were.
this concert; a perfect storm...a touch of Grace.
