@@kendallchambers8165 There were several visits -First one like as assesment where they check urine flow (you pee throuh a collection funnel and it measures flow rate and volume. No one in room with you when doing this,so its private.) and several other things.
Second visit is somthing like a rehearsl where you lie on the operating table and have your legs in raised stirrups(like gynacology but for men) and they position a grid to focus on your prostate (under your scrotum wich is the closest point to the prostate.) and the give you a mild seative to relax you and then using ultrasound they map out the placement of the isotopes to the cancer. No actual surgery done here)
Thhe third and final visit is for the insertion of the istotopes where they do a repeat of step two but you have full anasetic and they actually
insert the isotopes. You have to have a self enama at home for step 1 and 2 for the night before (which you buy at the chemist) after the procedure you are admitted for about half a day to see how the isotopes have settled.
For several months after the procedure you have to filter your urine through a gauze funnel to save and return any isotopes that are rejected by the body..It's recomended to wear depends after the procedure due to a weakened bladder. I only have that problem after drinking tea (which is a duretic anyway.) After the surgery i didn't feel much pain but urgency to pee quite a few times. Only had two accidents thank god! In a follow up visit my psa was checked and it had dropped from 11 to 4.6. My cancer is now 99.7 percent in remission.

they are very small -about 0.07 mm x 0.3 mm and they are radioactive.(only a very low dose-enough to kill the cancer but does not harm any other organs) I had about 18-23 inserted..I little sore after surgery but pain goes after 1 day.

Tuve un procedimiento donde me pusieron semillas en la prostata hace 5 años, esto tiene algo que ver con un dolor que tengo en la parte derecha del cuerpo que me llega hasta el recto, y mal de orin.
