This is one of the most beautiful pieces of new music I have heard in quite some time. I love the Oboe introduction and the very tight string section. The girls-WOW. The soprano is fabulous, and the Mezzo is something else. Together, they are magnificent. I have this on repeat, and I have already listened to it many times, and it just gets better and better. Thank you. I love it.
well, given 100 M population, Vietnam has very few Western-music artists, from vocalists to instrumentalists. No Vietnamese classical music performers have reached the international level like Japan, China, Korea, Singapore. When the country is richer, perhaps there will be more children be trained in this art, and great talents will emerge. In any case, these two young sopranos are both gorgeous and an improvement over the Vietnamese sopranos that I listened to over 20 yrs ago.
The 2 ladies were born, raised, and educated in voice performance in America, so while they are proud of their Vietnamese heritage (and they even sing in Vietnamese), they are American sopranos not Vietnamese sopranos
@@timknguyen your perspective is sociopolitical-based. Mine is more of a genomic-ethnocultural perspective. They are genomically/ethnically Vietnamese and I simply wonder what the musical skills, especially vocal performance of the population are capable of. Lung size, vocal folds, larynx, inc. laryngeal muscles, etc. are different for different populations (e. g. Asian have smaller lung than Caucasoid) Vietnamese genetics have a strong "founder-effect-like" aspect, as it went from under 10 M (late 19th cent) to almost 100 M in ~ 1 century. So, certain genetic traits may become dominant. That's all. I'm not advocating anything.
This kind of music made (converted) the old became younger, fortunately! The music carries a dreamlike quality, evoking a sense of deep longing and hope. Its flowing melody, paired with expressive lyrics, creates an atmosphere of tranquility and emotion that feels both soaring and tender, capturing the essence of an idealized, beautiful world.

Very impressed that we, Vietnamese, have such talented singers and beautiful and elegant. You all make our Vietnam VERY PROUD!
More proud if Vietnamese language song had been sung.
@@savioremedios579Hope that someone would translate into our Vietnamese. If Nhạc si Pham Duy was still here, he would be able to.
Communist country like Vietnam does accept Cathoric??
