    I had a sole f80 for 16 years. replaced the deck for free last year, just have to send a pic of your warranty card and the treadmill itself. other than also replacing the belt and drive belt, everything else including the fan was still working. absolute beast of a machine. I bought a new one this week only after the electronics finally died out

    Thanks for the really informative videos about the F80. I was stuck between choosing either a treadmill from NordicTrack or Sole. Ultimately, I chose Sole because it seems to have overall fewer reviews saying it broke down soon after buying it. Your reviews really make me confident that the Sole F80 will be a solidly built treadmill. I used your affiliate link to order it during the Black Friday Sale. Thanks and happy holidays!

    HI Stevie. Nice initial review then this follow up. Of all the reviewers, I decided to reach out to you for an idea! I have a friend that I'm coaching and helping her lose over 150lbs! She has this treadmill but doesn't quite know how to use its factory programs and I'd love to see how they work. For example, I'm assuming in interval mode, you can set the level of difficulty and length of time so that it automatically changes speed and incline throughout the session. Right now, she has to do it manually which you were doing in your initial video review.
    All the reviews I've been seeing only do like you have, just a general review and/or unboxing, nothing specific about its factory presets or custom programming. How about making a video now of how all the pre-programmed/custom programming buttons work. It would be, at this point, a one of kind video! So you'd be the first! (I'll take a 10% creative idea fee, lol). Anyway, part of the reason I can't figure this out for her and show her is because I'm coaching her remotely! I live in Seattle, WA and she lives in North Dakota and she is also hearing impaired! So she has to read the CC's. Unfortunately, the owner's manual, as you know, doesn't cover how all the programs work. Mahalo in advance if you can make the video.

    • @StevieRichardsFitness
      @StevieRichardsFitness  Год назад +2

      That’s an amazing suggestion and I plan to apply that to as many videos as possible. It is an important detail for most consumers.

      @@StevieRichardsFitness Right on, man!! I am starting to be able to help my friend figure it out from afar. But a play by play video from you would be great. She has the F80. I take it that the F80 and the other treadmills are not able to regulate speed and incline at the same time but rather it's one or the other while in preset programming? For example, in hill mode, if set on speed, as the intensity increases as you see it on the screen, I take it the belt speed is moving faster or slower but the incline isn't automatically raising/lowering the platform, correct?
      I'm also surprised that her F80 doesn't have the interval button on the control panel even though it shows it in the manual. I think Sole only did a cut and paste of the logo on the same control panel (F80 and the F83/85) in the manual rather than showing a picture of what the actual panel looks like per model.
      So, when you make a video on the pre programming, going through it's nuances, being able to change settings while in program mode would be great. I would do that at the gym say in interval setting, as I'm working out, if I find the intensity level a bit high or low, I could change speed, intensity and/or incline on the fly without interruption and continue the workout. I found the most convenient of the 3 I just mentioned was to change intensity on the fly and the preset program would adjust accordingly. Do the Sole models have such flexible features? The other thing I noticed is that you showed in your first video in order to take a break is to slow down the belt and step off onto the sides. I'm surprised there is no pause button which would be much safer. At this point, my friend doesn't have the mobility, reflexes, strength due to so much excess weight to be able to support herself with the handles to quickly and easily step onto the side boards.
      I'm looking forward to seeing what you create, it will be the first of it's kind. If I had a treadmill, I would have made it myself to plug into my channel. I'm finally starting to get organized again to edit and create more content again. At this point, I have more "how to fix" things for another channel than I do of workouts and self defense for my channel here that I'm texting you from. LOL.
      Mahalo again for your time and consideration. Greatly appreciated! BTW, I had no idea you were part of the old WWF. Shows you how much I followed. Congrats on such a great illustrious career!

    I just found this review, but I already ordered the F80,and it is coming from Sole in California and I live in Ohio,so it will take along while but I can't wait to get it! I'm curious how old are you? I'm 54 and not a runner but I wanted this,my 1st treadmill to use every other day and lift weights in between and try to eventually run! Goals are to lose weight for 2 reasons,1. I'm a gambler and I'm hoping to play in the 2022 World Series of Poker Main Event in July and if God helps make the Final Table,I want to look good on Tv, 2. My son is getting married in Oct. so I want to look good in a tux. Great review!💪

    Hey Stevie, if i wanted to quickly run at 6MPH can i quickly tap the 7 speed button and then use the speed button on the grip handles to bring it down to 6 or do i have to use the speed buttons on the console to bring it down to 6...and i assume it's 0.1MPH per button click? I really wish SOLE had a button for each speed 1 - 12 instead of skipping some. I also had a question on the cushioning but it seems you answered that already and you find the cushioning adequate.

    • @StevieRichardsFitness

      @StevieRichardsFitness  2 года назад +3

      I believe if you’re just starting out walking and not running, it should be ok.

    The most ANNOYING thing I've found with Sole treadmills is how they constantly change around the features. The new F80's in 2024 have big paddle rocker switches for incline and speed adjustment. Two years ago, your model doesn't have them. You have the rocker switches on the side handles like the F63 (used to have). I've especially found the F63 to be constantly changing. ANNOYING.
