In Belgium, there is a transport company called “BE-Trans” and it’s the best accidental trans support I’ve ever seen! Imagine how many transphobic people have seen it next to their car on the highway! LETS GOOO

YES, I saw that! Greetings from Germany, I was stuck behind a truck from that company in a traffic jam and my colleague and I had a laugh and took a picture to show one of my friends, who is trans. He also had a laugh, but then told me that he wouldn't really recommend it. All three of us had a laugh.

This was great! While I’m not strictly trans but fall under the umbrella as a demigirl I totally related to some of this. My body is more masculine in structure/shape and I’ve always identified with masculinity more than femininity so I remember crying my eyes out in junior high when I had to wear a bra because I was developing a chest and I hated it. Ironically though that’s where the male part of me ends and the rest of me defaults to female so I’ve definitely had interesting experiences with my own brain fighting over which will win on any given day as a result and it’s really rather annoying tbh because it never seems to completely make up its mind sometimes, hahaha.

    So funny story:
I used to be super dysphoric about how my body looks. I'm afab, I have no butt (my friend affectionately calls it my grandpa ass and says they love it lmao), I have wide hips despite having no butt, and also my breasts are shaped more like an overweight man's chest than "typical" afab breasts (I'm overweight lol). This, along with my alto voice, made me feel uncomfy with my body as a kid.
However, since then, I've realized I'm genderfluid and commonly (not always) prefer being perceived as masculine. So then my biggest issue with my body was my pear shaped body and how my hips are wide in comparison to the rest of my body.
    UNTIL
I was reunited with my oldest half brother who is a decade older than me. I hadn't seen him in awhile. Immediately, I realized his hips are actually the same ratio to his body as mine. That instantly made me text my other transmasc friends to tell them how cis men can have bigger hips too, and it led to a revelation for myself.
So yeah, just wanted to tell my story of how I entirely erased all my dysphoria surrounding my hips by simply looking at my older brothers and realizing we look like photo copies of each other. I still occasionally have dysphoria about other things, but seeing the similarities between my body and my cis relatives' bodies definitely helps me get through it.
Update for all the people who see this lol:
I recently realized I'm actually a trans man, just a gender nonconforming trans man. anyways, thank you for the support, remember you're all valid

The part about being self-conscious about things that you feel are trans related but aren't is so freaking true.
I recently learned that, for example, the best female competitive swimmers are a bit taller than usual, have wider shoulders, more narrow hips, and bigger hands and feet. So, as a trans woman, I don't have a "masculine" build, I have _swimmer's_ build.
And these ladies look gorgeous - there's no mistaking them for guys. Learning all of this helps me feel better

I can understand the argument in the case of an edgy comedian that dunks on everybody and does one transphobic joke. OK, it's a joke, I can not like it and move on. But it's usually not that. Like Acaster says, it's ten minutes of transphobia with a couple of puns thrown here and there probably involving some sort of offensive aircraft. That makes it harder to claim "it is only a joke, chill".

Isn't it proven that outrage gets the most of attention? Posts about controversial topics with baiting headlines and content.... Gets the most of views. So.... Comedians seem to use that finding as well.

I am being FULLY chaotic with my naming (but technically lawful evil on the chart!). I've been jumbling them around for over a year now. I'm at the stage of considering nesting 3 names within the name of a fictional character that I really identified with as a teenager (Lirael = Lily Raven Alexandra), and using that as my middle name and having a different fictional character as my official first name. My logic is: if I have the power to change my name to whatever I want, then I may as well go ham with it.
I'm going by Lily for now and will probably keep that as my everyday name, as it's my mum's favourite flower and also a subtle fuck you reference to JK Rowling and my original name, but I'm not sure I want it as my FIRST name. Also my surname begins with an L and I'm not sure I'm down with having my initials as LL/LRAL. It makes my signature really awkward and also LL were the initials of my conformist conservative Grannie who most definitely would NOT have been cool with my transitioning.
Anyway ramble over! Have a nice day! :D
