@@richpher44 Personally, I think it absorbs as well as any other competition approved headgear I've used. Obviously just note that since there's no protection for the cheeks, you'll get marked up more, but the headgear feels much lighter and the vision is MUCH better than headgear with cheek protection. If you get hit a lot, this might not be the best fit, but if you're a fighter who likes to use his eyes and box, it's amazing
