BRUTAL CRASH AT WERN DDU QUARRY ENDS WALES ENDURO TRIP EARLY

- We headed up to Wern Ddu quarry in Wales the Enduro heaven for what was supposed to be an epic weekend of enduro with the boys. This brutal enduro crash fail and bail ended that early. After having seen the recent stuff Billy Bolt, Rocket Ralph and MidwestMX had done here I had my sights set high. Unfortunately that was not meant to be.
As one of the Enduro mecca's Wern Ddu Quarry, in Wales is somewhere we have been a couple of times and I definitely had some new challenges that i wanted to take on. We had a big group of us there too on Husqvarna TE300's, KTM 300, KTM TPI 300's, Gas Gas 300's and so much more.
So getting back to the crash, you will see the brutal crash and the aftermath. Even in this video i didn't realise how bad the injury would be, but i count myself lucky for only having gotten as little as i did. it could have been so much worse.
We had also planned to ride H2O the next day after Wern Ddu, which the guys still did but i missed out on that. It looked like a great place to ride too. I am definitely going to have to head up to wales again soon for a sick enduro weekend once the hand heals.

You've crashed enough times to know not to tense up to tight or anything which saved your collar bone! There is an art to the good old tactical dismount! That was a nasty crash! Fair play for continuing

Yeah it definitely wasn’t fun that’s for sure but hopefully not going to be out too long!
Simple fix. Carry a decent strap so you could have dragged the bike up that last 2 m on the hill. Turning back was not the best of all the options.
Yeah we did have one, but I’m always of the opinion you should be able to get up and down most things 🤷♂️

Yeah was definitely a reality check. I could have come away from that a lot worse off.
Lesson learned in being lazy with bike placement and setup for decent. Rushed the top and paid the price at the bottom.

Definitely a lesson learned and all part of the journey. Just grateful it wasn’t worse and still have the itch to ride so can’t be all bad 🤘🏼
@@EnduroTravelR Quite agree with the no help principle in most scenarios until you try something where there is a chance of not making it and that hill is one of them. That’s when you need the back up at the top. Iron Mine Extreme for me this weekend wish me luck 💪🏻
Yeah, it’s the knowing when you should ask... It could have saved me this and meant I had a full weekends worth of solid riding. Went to H2O the next day too but has to just watch the boys ride.

Ah mate don’t let that out you off. The place is sick and got stuff for all levels. I just went in to big and fast to early 😂.
Hand is ok just need to let it heal. Still not fully sure of what’s up with it.
That's a tough break. Hope it heals quick! I know how it feels, I tore a ligament in my knee last weekend :( On crutches and no riding for weeks now :(

Hey buddy that was a #class1 bail. I hope you are not out for too long. I am still recovering from ripping my shoulder at actiontrax on easter weekend, its just getting right now thank god. why do we throw ourselves at the scenery?

I recently crashed on my 125 did a wheelie went back to far all my gear on really saved me but scraped my knee even though my riding pants and boots but it could have been worse also my bike is kinda messed up I’m doing a video on it in a little.

They can be really temperamental man, I have missed loads of good stuff like that before!
Had an off in feb broke RH radius needing 13screws and a plate but I had to ride 14miles back to the van... never want to repeat that day again 😂 get well soon boyo
