Guys, I sincerely apologize for all the Kove content. I've gotten too many comments from old friends who are tired of hearing about Kove. I've been excited about the bike for a long time. I firmly believe that it has the potential to change dual sport as we know it, and I'm stoked for Mason at the Dakar. But frankly, I'm tired of talking about it, too. I'm tired of talking about horsepower and specs and all the other BS that other channels cover so much better. Not just on the Kove, but on any motorcycle. I don't care about motorcycles anymore. I care about *riding* them. I care about the *people* on them. RUclips has become a soulless dong waving competition, and now the "promote" button means it's pay to win, and I won't pay. When it comes to motorcycles, you can have fun on a Hawk 250, you can have fun on a KTM Rally Replica. Who cares which one you're on as long as YOU are having fun? I'm so tired of RUclips. So tired of social media in general. It's toxic. I plan on reinventing the channel with a focus on mental health, and even though those videos utterly bomb, I hope it has the potential to help somebody. That's what I'm about. Not about which motorcycle strokes your ego... but about *people* and what motorcycles do to *connect* us... not pull us apart.
Absolutely...people over product..I just rode with a group of older guys at a new offroad park here in Texas...we never really talked about motorcycle brand..it was all about the trails and stories and fun..without our internal joy and care for each other the bikes don't matter. As a veteran thank you for sharing about your mental heath challenges. Love ya brother 😊
Eh it seems to be a small minority that have a stick up their arse. Do want you want. You helped change my mind on Chinese bikes. I used to hate them like everyone else. I now own a CFmoto 800 Ibex and really want to get either a Lifan KPX or a GPX FSE 250 E. They've come a long way and so have you. Too many other channels focus on the BS like the TransAlp because they go off of polls, you go off of your gut and that has brought you further than them tbh. It makes you a better person tbh.

Kove is exciting and is a game changer and you are helping shed light on this. But people don’t like change and I think that is what you are up against. A company that actually try to build a relatively affordable rally bike for the people. China or not, this is a rider like us that wanted to create a Rally bike and he did it + plus finished the first Dakar with multiple bikes. It's a no ego, organic branding exercise, no multimillion dollar PR stunts. They are pushing it out the door and letting owners and the bike speak for itself. I like it. And... everyone that says no to Chinese products, go empty your house.
I've been writing in the comments in all the Kove reviews that Kove needs to partner with an experienced Privateer. I'm glad to see that someone at Kove apparently saw my advice and decided to follow it. In his first Dakar he finished top ten. Last year he won a stage and was running top 10 before crashing out. I hope Kove gives him enough support to equal or better his previous results. Had you published this video a month or two sooner, we could have started a Go Fund Me to cover those expenses for him that he said he didn't have enough money to pay.

Hey Tyler, I can tell you've gotten a lot of mixed feedback on the Kove videos. Personally I'll preface this by saying I'm not a chinese bike hater or a Kove hater. I do think sometimes these videos can feel more like an advertisement but I don't think it's as bad as people make it out to be. I think this video talking to Mason is pretty cool. It's cool to hear from somebody like him. I think I'd like to see more videos of you and your buddies just going out and riding. You can absolutely be on the Kove or whatever bike you want, but I think the focal point should be the riding rather than the bike and I think that'll make it feel less like an ad. Also I will say this about these Chinese bikes. I'm really into dual sport and adventure riding. It's absolutely my favorite hobby and it's what I'm passionate about. The thing that really sucks is I'm 21 years old. Everyone I meet who is into this sport is usually 10+ years older than me, higher if it's just adventure riding. There's nothing wrong with this of course, I don't mind hanging out with and chatting with people older than me. But realistically it does make it hard for me to make friends who ride. Maybe it's just because people my age are usually into enduro or MX or just dirt bikes exclusively. But the cost of entry is almost certainly a factor. This hobby can be pretty expensive, especially to those who just don't have the information on how a cheap DRZ or DR650 is enough. I appreciate how some of these chinese bikes lower that cost to entry factor, and I appreciate how there's some level of quality to some of the Chinese brands. I'm more than happy to acknowledge that if a newbie buys a chinese bike and it shits the bed, that's probably going to turn them away from the hobby. But at least they'd get a chance to try it. I appreciate that if I was in the position to, I could get a Hawk 250 and let my friends who don't ride try it and I wouldn't have to worry too much about them wrecking. This problem is only amplified with adventure riding. Adventure bikes are so expensive, and the target market of a lot of them is that 50-54 age range. These people usually have a lot of buying power and are fine with paying the premium. The average college age person is not going to be spending $500 on a luggage system, or $15k on an adventure bike. So I appreciate it when people show off the more budget options. The Kove 450 may not exactly be budget, but specs relative to price seems pretty fair, especially if you compared it to a 701 with a rally kit or something similar. Writing this turned more into a rant than I intended, but it's all to simply say, I don't think showing off Kove is exactly the problem, in fact I think it's good to show the more budget options in the space. I think it can just come off as more of an advertisement than you intend. I think shifting towards videos of just riding and exploring, and maybe you're on a Kove in those videos, maybe you're not, could be a better approach. Michael
I feel your pain. I started adv riding at 24 years old. All of my riding friends were at least 5-10 years older than me. I rode a DR650 for about 5 years and then went to a DRZ400. I'm 39 now and only just starting to have the budget to get something like a fully adventure ready KTM 790 or T7, Taureg, etc. But you know what, I'd take a Kove 450 over all of them, and not just because of slightly lower price, but for the capability, specs and performance and less need to adventurize it.
I quit racing at 18 And here I am now. Dual sport riding is what brought me to rally it’s so crazy but here we are. The only reason I even do Dakar is because it lets me see the world at my own pace with a bunch of my new friends.🤘🏻
Thanks eveRide. Great content. My 2c worth. Any Dakar without MKlein and BCox from ZAF ain't worth watching. Never seen 2 riders upset the factory teams like those 2. Keep it pinned I say. Thanks Kove for keeping this champ in Dakar.
Keep the vids up man, we're just having fun here and enjoy your content. Looking at this from the outside in, looks like you've become a rather large 'face' for the Kove and that can be heavy, can feel like the criticism is on you when folks talking the bike. Plus this vid was just as much on Mason/rallying which is a unique form of riding that, as crazy as it is for me, Kove bikes being in the Dakar has kinda got me more into that form of riding. Keep on keepin on (and riding on) man. Hoping I can make one of your rallys next year.
Everide: Merry Christmas to you and your family. Tyler, thanks for the content in 2023. I know you have struggled with health issues this year both physical and otherwise. Hang in there because the world needs you to smile into the camera even while you are hurting. I look forward to more videos in 2024 and this is not possible if you quit. Thanks
Amazing video. I didn’t know who Mason Klein was and had never visited this channel previously, but I’ll be keeping an eye on both in the future. Thank you fellas for keeping it real. Also, someone give that “camper” a cooler full of food/water or something. Wtf was that rando madness? It was like something from Fallout. Dude could have been a cannibal!
I got to test ride the Kove for New Years. I agree with Mason about the Kove power. I like it. Fueling is good. It lugs 2nd just fine. It never burps or farts or hickups when im in the wrong gear at the wrong revs. And it rewards you when you do it right. I love my wr250r and the kove power band feels the same shape as that. I hopped on and felt right at home. I have 20L of fuel on my wr250r and it feels much heavier then the kove because the weight is up so much higher. In the dirt i loved the gearbox. But on the street i did wish 5th and 6th were a bit taller. Geared 13/51 it was really nice at 65mph and id love that to be 75mph. Ill get a kove one day with the optional luggage rack and some giant loop siskiyou panniers, A BDR slayer
i watch your channel from Greece cause is fun to see small companies to bit Goliath.....i plan to buy next martch Kove Rally cause is cute to my eyes and i see carefull your videos and other too and i am more close to my goal......only one question what type for oil changes recomment Mason? and how many km with one tank fulling.thank you a lot
At my speed you can get like 200km per tank but on the road maybe it’s closer to almost 400. It really depends on your riding style and terrain but generally it goes really far
Amen to your pinned first comment ;-) But still one question. Mason is 1,85m , but when riding on the bike around eg. 10 min mark his legs are quite cramped compared to other videos with Kove and tall (even taller guys). Is it because he was testing different peg positions as he talked in that part or is it because that Rally Pro (Factory, whatever) is having them placed so differently compared to regular version? Thanks a lot for info and your time
he seems very mature for his age at least more than me, with 54. I hope he wins. power on 450s MX, I tried one last week, it was great, plenty power but the 250 two Stroke that I tried once impressed me more, I got a DRZ 400 that I bought because of everide to replace my old XR that was broken. I like the bike, for I replace this bike it could be a KTM 690 but then again it's a KTM and I don't trust it. I guess I will be waiting for a new Suzuki DRZ 600, or any new japanese similar to the 690. I don't like the lines of the kove, they are not appealing to me and for me the lines count, I sure like a bike that is good but good to the eyes too, like for example the Yamaha WR 450 or any Japanese bike like that, or ktm. I don't like fairings on Enduro bikes or dual sport bikes.
+1 on the kickstand being pushed down into rocks. I’ve broke several gpx kickstands. Rips the plastic foot off cuz size 13 boots push the kickstand down and then it hits everything
Loved the video @everide. Thanks for covering things your passionate about . I think your a great story teller and videographer. You could put out great content on anything your passionate about. YT content for money sounds like a rough game after listening to @dorkintheroad talk about it. Internalizing less positive comments would make it even rougher. Take care of yourself and keep healing so you can get some ride therapy in.
I know right now kove it’s not going to win a Dakar but I think mason is going to win one or two stages. The bike is so good but it need more development. Good content 💪
If the bike he gets is as good as the factory bike was last year, he should be top 10 and maybe a podium. It all depends on whether the Chinese can suck up their ego and give him a bike good enough to beat their own riders.
@@briangc1972well, only two of 6 riders are allowed to ride on new 450 EX models. Which are faster, lighter, stronger than 2023 models Mason is one of them

Unfortunately i saw your video just today (today is the 2nd day of Dakar and mr. Klein is holding decent 3rd place overall). I am totally with him and hope that everything will work out for him. Also, listening the financial side of the story ... i would indeed like to make my small contribution to mr. Klein team efforts - is there some company or bank account or.... how could i support his journey? I would really appreciate if you could let me know! Thank you!
All about new brands but with his mechanical issues in the last few days. Would have to say he would be on the podium if he were on japanese or the Austrian bike

Kove must pay pretty well if people are making so many "rave" videos about it. Maybe I'll hit them up and see how much they'd pay a former semi-pro MX, enduro, and supermoto rider to pilot one of their bikes
Well Kove is for sure not paying me. Low key road driver from central Europe. But was waiting for such bike for years. No one else is doing it, only Kove so well already waiting for one. Followed them nearly from day one and was hoping. Then friends bought Zontes and had no problems during 3 years (while KTMs around were dying like flies 😀). Honda with CRF300 Rally seemed to get close, but then crap suspension and low performance arrived and was another nono (but bought their ADV 350 which is great) So it is pretty easy. And as Mason said, but you can see that yourself in any racing every vendor have troubles. Same public with enduro riding on KTMs and such. If they are so bulletproof and not "crap" as people pointing against China then why people spend so much money on parts for them? ;-) I do not see any other mark making something similar. Fantic or KTM replica are in completely different price category like is Kove 450 EX. Not any of those 3 is normal bike for regular public and most of them will not be able to use potential of those so having some "detuned" version of the same makes perfect sense even from business perspective. That's where Kove hit the nail on the head hard and everyone else is just in shock out of that.

I quit racing at 18
And here I am now.
Dual sport riding is what brought me to rally it’s so crazy but here we are. The only reason I even do Dakar is because it lets me see the world at my own pace with a bunch of my new friends.🤘🏻
My son is 21 as well and if wasn’t for my ability to provide my fatherly help he’d struggle in the endeavor even more. So you are far from alone.
Have you ridden 450 rally? If not,try it. You will see the whole picture then.
@MERMBRAMA I've not ridden it. I have no issues with the 450 rally and I think it's a cool bike.
All the best for this young man!
Harith nova is an Indian rally racer. Winning a stage podium. Excellent partnership.
I love to watch everything about kove, rally and Dakar... To find out what it takes for dakar is soooo good and fun... Big fan of that rally...
Thanks for covering the story of Mason Klein and the Kove sponsorship.
Getting our first bikes in Pakistan Q2. Your videos have been very helpful in making the decisions
This is massive for Kove. huge props for backing an underdog.
Great interview, very informative. I will for sure be following him during the race. Be very interesting to see how the Kove does.
Thanks
That was so cool , great job!
Mason is such a humble and cool guy.
I for one love the Kove content! great hearing from Mason about his progress. BTW I would pay $10,000 to be able to ride like Mason for 10 minutes.
That Mason seems like a real down to earth guy. I hope he wins and doesn’t get any major injury.
Almost time Mason! Show those factory guys whats up. Fingers crossed you pull a stage win on the Kove.
Great to hear from you...
Great interview!
best of luck young man !
Why can’t we get Mason a Honda ride with the two other Yankees? Good luck Klein, send er’ hard 🏜️🏁✊🏼
Mason needs to be PAID by Kove as a factory rider.
Awesome video! I hope this kid does well.
Hey @eveRide, I can’t think of better man than you to go follow Mason to Dakar and make the story. It will be a big hit in the moto community.
The Kove looks great love the fact it’s affordable for normal people.
Good Luck Mason!
i watch your channel from Greece cause is fun to see small companies to bit Goliath.....i plan to buy next martch Kove Rally cause is cute to my eyes and i see carefull your videos and other too and i am more close to my goal......only one question what type for oil changes recomment Mason? and how many km with one tank fulling.thank you a lot
I use motorex because they support me in my training and I do believe it is good for the bike.🤘🏻
At my speed you can get like 200km per tank but on the road maybe it’s closer to almost 400. It really depends on your riding style and terrain but generally it goes really far
thank you man for the quik responce, all the best for Dakar rally@@rallywithmason
he is a good kid.... he will be on top in a few years.
Hey, seems like the link is broken? I’m going to check out the Kove at a local dealer soon!
*the bike i’m racing is a bike you can buy*
Say it all really. !!
Thanks a lot for info and your time
Best of luck Mason, '"rubber side down" brother. God be with you. 💪🏻✝️🙏🏾💥💯🐞
Mason have speedy recovery. Very interesting info
4:53 imagine chilling in the middle of the desert and than this guy comes along😅
I keep waiting to see a Kove video of the bike blowing up and stuff breaking, other than some bones, but this thing seems to hold together.
he seems very mature for his age at least more than me, with 54.
I hope he wins.
power on 450s MX, I tried one last week, it was great, plenty power but the 250 two Stroke that I tried once impressed me more,
I got a DRZ 400 that I bought because of everide to replace my old XR that was broken.
I have been training without a rally tower on my Kove it is really nice when you can actually see in front of you.😂
+1 on the kickstand being pushed down into rocks.
Which are faster, lighter, stronger than 2023 models
Mason is one of them
@@briangc1972 I think Kove only cares about winning. That could change in the future but i believe they picked Mason because he is a winner and they are giving him their fastest bike..
@@inrptn That is basically what I said I hoped they would do.
I think we will be hearing more from this young man
love the bike...q great bike to start rally racing.
Just saw that masons bike blew up at Dakar, and is out.
What class is he racing in? I liked the content of this part of Dakar you don’t here about thanks Everide😊😊
I race in “Rally GP”
"Secret location" somewhere between St George Utah and Las Vegas Nevada.
and the first time a Kove has a real rider the bike breaks, sorry Mason you need to find a team worthy of your skill
Great vid. Thanks.
Thank you!
What a golden boy!
bro, you(mason) are all over chinese media now after winning 3rd place in stage 1
KOVE link not working??
All about new brands but with his mechanical issues in the last few days. Would have to say he would be on the podium if he were on japanese or the Austrian bike
Its not so much Kove vs ktm as it is they won't give us what we want.
Who is that Indian TVS - Sherco racer ?
Ahh I remember this guy from the ItchyBoots USA series.
“It’s all about money” …”it’s not about the money “ …” I don’t want to say I’m not getting paid “ . Sounds complicated
So which is it? Kove or Kov-aye
I believe I heard Zhang Xue, the CEO call it Ko-vay in a press conference.
I say Kove
I figured it out. He has to be Christian Slaters son😂😂 he looks just like him.

Around 3:50 you can watch Tyler get divorced.
Would someone please set up a go fund me, for Mason Klein.
CCP West Taiwan is a current regional enemy. Buying their products is somehat unavoidable, like inhaling fumes in traffic. I have no wish to suck directly off the pipe and help their economy at the same time though. Sticking to bikes made by friendly regimes.
Kove must pay pretty well if people are making so many "rave" videos about it. Maybe I'll hit them up and see how much they'd pay a former semi-pro MX, enduro, and supermoto rider to pilot one of their bikes
It could be s reseller spiff, or it could just be “the new thing” content, but maybe some really like it and are just excited.
Honestly I have just been totally honest and when you ride these bikes it really is hard to not say good things about them.
I agree. You get on one and feel at home. easy to ride.... and easy to ride fast
Honda with CRF300 Rally seemed to get close, but then crap suspension and low performance arrived and was another nono (but bought their ADV 350 which is great)
So it is pretty easy.
