Anyone that would give up winning a Super Bowl out of spite and ego (Malcom Butler anyone?) certainly would have it well within them to throw it in the owner's face and burn QBs that dared oppose in giving his inner circle buds jobs they never should have had last season.
About the team? Never has been for him, its always been about him, even though those were his favorite words.
Belichick had the best qb strategy last year against the browns and the lions! And a great qb in Bailey!
Bill Belichick started New England with a great team already in place. Look up the players in 2000. Then look at the five players he drafted before Brady. You won't recognize the names. In 2000 he went 5 and 11 with a great roster and 2001 started 0 and 2 before Brady came in. I think when it comes to football knowledge he's elite but he's not a great coach or GM. Here's my proof along with his stats. Brady is known for all of his comebacks. Well, if Belichik was so good, then why did Brady always have to come back? Belichick would always get them in a hole and Brady would dig them out. No more Brady. Bill stays in a hole.
Actually 6 players were drafted before brady . Brady was 2nd pick of 6th round
One of the 6 players rear bellisuck drafted was Adrian Clemm... the same guy who didn't make the team and is today pats oline coach

He went 10-5 on same team that went 16-0 a year before with most wins comming as blowouts. The pats faced only 2 teams with +.500 record that year .
And Matt Casell made probowl with chiefs after leaving pats ..so the backup qb wasn't bad either

Bill had had a falling out with every QB including Brady. Wanted Brady gone in 2015. Released Cam Newton after he went for a second medical opinion. Buried Stidham after he went to a wedding in mini camp. Got rid of Hoyer after he took a sack in FG territory. Absolutely ruined Mac and hates him like poison and destroyed anything he had in Zappe. The dude hates QBs.

Im from Kentucky. Watched Zappe at Western and Malik at Louisville. Mac is better. If they get rid Mac they need to draft a top two QB and fire Belichick. Enough is enough.
Agree...Mac went to three offensive coordinators...and has no receivers (yes he struggling)...but not working with much anyways....

Zappe's awful. Everyone knows this but Felger. But the Pats have the weakest QB room in the league. Mac is one of the weakest starting QBs in the league, Zappe is the weakest backup QB in the league (no one wanted him as their #2 or #3 when he was waived), Grier is the weakest #3 (no TDs in five NFL seasons makes Brian Hoyer look like Tom Brady), and Malik is the weakest #4. It's a grand slam. This is all on Bill Belichick who might be fighting the onset of dementia at this point. That's the most charitable spin we can give it.

I promise you Belichick is not intentionally trying to tank. He's got the biggest ego ever. With the way things have gone since he kicked Brady to the curb, how much of a hit his legacy has taken. The last thing on earth he'd be doing is intentionally losing games. You really think he wants to continue to make his record without Brady look even worse than it is? He's only like 18 wins behind Shula for the all time win record, he isn't throwing games on purpose. And for what? He's already in his 70s, what's the point of him trying to start from zero with another rookie qb. Every week he continues to embarrass himself and makes what Tom did here for 20 years look even more impressive.

He had Brady for all those years. The Patriots were the 2nd worst defense in the league in 2011, and Brady dragged them to a Super Bowl.

Bill felt like even making it harder for Tom by benching their starting cornerback who played 99% of all defensive snaps that year in a game where a backup qb dropped 41 on Bill's defense. Stole another ring right off Brady's finger.
Vinny Testaverde, Todd Philcox, Eric Zeier and Mike Tomzcak. Those were his quarterbacks in Cleveland.
