The intros during that era were so great. It told a story of the previous game or series. That what networks don’t do anymore. I’m not sure why. Maybe because of social media, every highlight is instantly uploaded.
18:04...as soon as McGriff made contact, my best friend and I both said, "THAT'S GONE!". About 30 minutes later, we were outside playing football. Crime Dog destroyed that pitch.
Had nothing to do with Greene being a liability whatsoever! Just take a second to digest the lineup from top to bottom that '93 Braves team had! They were a ticking time bomb waiting to explode after that gut wrenching Game 1 loss! That Game 2 pounding was a release u knew was coming! They were too good not to bring the wood! Yes they eventually lost the series in a shocker but that offensive explosion the Braves did have in Games 2 & 3 was simply no surprise! Games 4-6 were just a matter of the Phillies beating the Braves at their own game like they'd done in Game 1! In that series the Phillies outBraved the Braves
I remember every game of that series vividly, watching with my fraternity pledge brothers at our apartment complex off-campus at Western Carolina University! Was in my seventh semester of college then
We need a john kruk in todays game

McGriff and Griffey Jr had some of the best swings of the 90s
I remember the Phillies were highly underdogs and pulled off the upset
