Camp guardian used to be such a pain in the ass for me not bc its hard but bc there are so many lakelurks. but check out the deathclaw promitory in the southeast if u follow the river to the north
Thank you for watching! I agree, lakelurks are terrible haha. As a kid I dreaded fighting them. I actually made a video recently on Deathclaw Promontory! One of my favorite places in the game! So apologies that I will not make a video about it again anytime soon! Patrolling the Mojave almost makes you wish for a nuclear winter! 😉
Really cool video - I've recently done a playthrough where I took the explorer perk and checked out various places I've never been to, and it was very fun! Here's an interesting suggestion - It's not much, but the Legion Safehouse, just because very few people ever get idolized by the Legion. Some people might like to see what the inside is like.
Definitely worth the longer run time for this video! I missed half the notes completing the story and never knew it all, this may be the most horrifying place to me in the game. Lakelurks have a certain scare factor as they remind me of real life cryptids and humanoids in folk tales or sightings. More grounded than a death claw to me
I liked the quest a lot but the big where the guy won't leave the cave the right way really annoyed me. I don't like letting people die of I can help it so I save scummed my way through which really broke immersion.
It’s a bit more well known than other areas you’ve discussed, but the old nuclear test site is pretty out of the way, as is Jacobstown. It took me a good 3 playthroughs before going to either, in part because I had no idea about jacobstown and thought that area was actually Yucca Mountain, which I assumed would be extremely radioactive. Turns out it wasn’t, obviously.
I’d make the argument that Dead Wind Cavern was the scariest place because you’re fighting Deathclaws in tight spaces. The Silver Mine with the Cazadores would have been number one, but I usually complete OWB beforehand for the Heartless perk. In terms of creepiest, I’d say the Ant Mound. Even though I never died there, I never liked the idea of crawling in something that giant bugs made. The Ant Queen freaked me out from the way it looks, and I felt like I was playing a dark themed version of Earth Defense Force.
Fair enough! I will have to check out the ant mound! I agree. Tbh deathclaws and cazadores are not all the scary to me. Ants and Lakelurks send a lot more shivers down my spine.
If pass by thag area you should visit ranger station foxtrot A very unique looking ranger station that s often overlooked due to it s location Also i don t know if you mod your game or not but it was originally intended to have a super mutant ranger there too, sadly got cut...
The armament for a new millennia mod adds a unique rifle in guardian peak/tunnel which is one of the reasons I visit it now. Cool little unmarked quest to do there and an interesting location overall.
the true horror here is the fact you used anti-material rifle to kill coyotes and a pistol to kill lakelurks..... (great vid btw)
