Like, since she came to this school she hasn't see anything but troubles, if Suletta was a real person, she would probably be like: "What I did to deserved all of this?!".
That cry felt so realistic. I've seen enough people break down to pressure in class. And this definitely seemed like a moment to expect someone to cry.
Now that's a clean knock out. The way that girl bounced back from the stair behind her, I was a little worried for her neck and spine. But I love the fact that it's an actual fist fight, not some cat fight just because of girls. It makes sense because working with giant mechas do require physical strength, so these girls aren't your average weak school girls, especially not for someone fierce like Chuchu lol.
Yeah, and you have to admit, for such a small girl, Chuchu hits HARD. The fact the first girl was still out cold even after Chuchu started fighting shows just how much strength she has.

Realistically, growing up in much lower gravity would cause not just under developed muscles, but fragile bones and weak organs too. So I'd imagine they wouldn't let that become an issue since at least pilots constantly have to deal with much higher gravity while piloting. And so I wouldn't assume spacians are in any way weaker.
At first I thought this episode was going to be used to highlight how much of a prodigy Suletta is, and have her be able to pilot the suit on nothing but instinct and feel. Or maybe that Aerial was going to step in herself to guide her somehow. But no, we just get a nice little character-establishing moment for ChuChu, and some bonding between all the girls, and honestly, it was cute enough that I have absolutely no desire to complain ^_^
I feel this is a character development moment for Suletta too. You know she is willing to try to uphold her dream but you also see she is still just a kid. When she tries and tries and got nothing to show for it she breaks down and cry. That is a very humanizing moment for me

Worse, from the get go she is in the middle of all the ongoing social and corporate problems in that school with no one on her side to help her, except Aerial. She also has near 0 social experience with other people and is extremely awkward as a response. Despite her effort and great abilities, when it comes time to do what she came to do, she's had mixed or near 0 results and all her small victories (socially) have come at great personal cost and suffering. Furthermore, while in Aerial and in a Mobile Suit she may appear to be extremely competent and collected, deep down we see Suletta as a joyful caring person, as average a girl as it gets, with only her dueling record going for her. No wonder she breaks down after so much effort and effectively 0 progress, I can't think of many people who would be able to endure so much stress and pain and not break down.
Adding to that, it does actually make sense why she struggles here. Consider how difficult it is to move around with your eyes closed. It's harder to balance, and on top of this, people have been known to walk around in circles when blindfolded or otherwise have their vision obscured. Flying IFR is also extremely difficult; the only reason it can be done in the first place is due to the sheer number of instruments that provide info to the pilot - instruments that the Demi Trainer does not have due to being a Mobile Suit, which are essentially VFR-only machines. MS are designed primarily for combat operations in microgravity; so their radar mainly detects enemy units. In microgravity, there is no "up" or "down", so that eliminates the need for an attitude indicator. The Altimeter is also redundant; once again, space, so it's replaced with a proximity detector. The reliance on visuals for mobile suits is why having a secondary camera in other timelines became so important.
It’s so satisfying and funny how she just pulled up,knocked that beach cold with one punch and proceeded to take on the other one. God that was so satisfying! Chuchu,also known as the cotton candy hair girl,is now one of my favorites from this show
The animation team did a fantastic job with blue haired bully body flop from that punch, I FELT my back hurt where you can see hers bending around the step behind her after that impact.
I KNOW those punches hurt. Those punches were clean and raw and it was like you could physically feel those punches and the sound for them is clean too.
To me I swear I heard an audible crunch and that was a square hit to the face. That nose is inverted, as many others have said. Chu Chu the pain train, don't mess with the passengers and you won't get a special delivery right to your door.
Obviously the sucker punch knockout is fantastic, but I love the last punch in the actual fight the most. Chuchu fully loaded that cannon, she turned her body *all* the way around for that one.
When that bully punched Suletta in the face, I was like "YOU'VE DONE SCREWED UP NOW", and then ChuChu punched that bully in the face! God, that was so satisfying!

I hope. I've heard it hasn't found the younger and female audience they were hoping for yet, but I have faith it's only a matter of time until it gets discovered, with animation and scenes like this.
Actually, it has been severely hampered by crunchyroll. Especially as crunchyroll doesnt have these episodes for free, and in America the show is stuck on crunchyroll

@@Deraphim yep. You may be looking at the wrong groups. Also, the show is on a far more variwd yet inconsistent place of view compared to any other anime, seeing as every country has a different place to see it and only said place for said country. What I am trying to say is, getting hard data is nigh impossible, but social media gives us the best evidence we have. This is the first mech anime in about a decade to get such viewership and discussion. It is the first to break into the casual anime viewer consensus since Gurren Laggun
finally, a woman that actually defends her friend.
Now Chuchu isn't Suletta's friend, yet. Earlier in the episode Chuchu strait up cusses Suletta out for being from space and not from earth and throws a wrench around. The only reason she decked the two girls is they're the same two who did the same prank to her earlier in the episode.
I mean, pretty sure it's happened before....
Hell, even in just high profile anime, nami and Robin from one piece? Nobara Kugisaki from JJK? The ladies in black Clover, probably too, I don't watch it. Hell, shera, high guardian spice, even freaking Rebecca from edgerunners.
A comprehensive list would be....extensive.
Buffy Summers? Diana Prince? Nami? Tifa Lockhart? Ever hear of those ladies?
@@lucielm Yeah, but in this episode, after Nika invited her to Earth House, Chuchu didn't object heavilly to Suletta, just reminding her that in terms of the house heirarchy, she was her "Senpai".
