#1 is really underrated I use it to rename plugins and I can open them just by pressing a key, also making a beat template with ur tag and eqs will save a lot of time too!
The 2nd tip isn't as convenient as holding ALT while moving the samples and patterns in the Playlist. Holding ALT temporarily disables snapping to the grid. This also works on MIDI in the Piano Roll too.
