My very first RPG. My most favorite character is Millenia. My brother and I would take turns playing this game. He'd mostly be the one going around doing the puzzles. I'd be the one using certain characters in fighting sequences only. Oh nostalgia at its finest! :)
When Ryudo was yelling for Millenia and Elena, I fought back tears. When Tio called out to Millienia, I bawled my eyes out. When Millenia gave her speech near the end, I lost my man card. *Spoiler* I'm so glad that Ryudo and co ended up kicking Xera Valmar's butt. And that scene before they go inside was probably the most glorious scene anywhere. Just so much stuff I loved about this game. Money well spent.
This scene strikes you hard on your first playthrough if you've been closely paying attention to the story escalating with selene, zera, Elena, roan, Ryudo's brother Melfice... and it made me feel depressed for a long time because YOU DIDN'T KNOW millennia would come back, that she really did die, and is gone from there. That's why this is the most tragic scene in all of writing in my opinion, because we want her to be with Ryudo let's face it.
It was very interesting that Millienia was not a person possessed by Valmar but an aspect of him(she was the physical manifestation of his wings) and yet she possessed a will of her own, she always wanted to become/revive Valmar, but it eventually became for a reason far from sinister.

It's crazy how this small cult-classic video game has one of the greatest all star voice cast. Just look up the cast. Jennifer Hale, Cam Clarke, Jodi Benson and others.
ooh, i remember playing this game?! sure, its not the perfect game but darn it the storyline and especially some of the voice acting is superb. it'd be nice to have a replay of this game but i cannot find it no more...
Yeah Aeris death had much more pixelation. :P But seriously, you're saying Millenia's death scene has nothing in comparison to Aeris. ? I dont even want to compare the both , both scenes were sad and powerful enough to have imprinted the meaning once again why i love video games. :)
Naw, both were horrible dude. Grandia 2 had voice acting, while FF7 did not nor very good facial expressions or nothing. Ff7 left it to your imagination to imagine how the characters spoke. The only scene was the death scene and even after that you could not hear clouds pain voiced the way you heard Ryudos in this video. They both were terrible in my book, this scene broke my heart because i went from disliking Millenia to slowly caring deeply for her. Which this scene broke my heart because i also thought Elene never thought for herself before Millenia even said it in this scene.

NOT SOME SIMILAR SHIT LIKE THIS!!!!!! *aeris begins to pray as a sudden flash appears above her* NOOOOOOOOOOT THIS SHIT AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! *the character i got really attached to dies* FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCK MEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE SIDEWAYS UP AGAINST A CACTUS!!!!!! NOT THE EMOTIONAL SHIT!!!!!!!! *head explodes* first: Lufia and the fortress of doom, fucking Selan dies and maxim confesses his love for her (i was only 5) Second: Final Fantasy VII aeris death happens (i fucking had a heart attack and died for ten million years,turned off my PS1 and cried for three days,i was only 9 years old) AND THIRD!!!!!! Grandia freaking 2!!!!!! this shit gave me vietnam flash backs like NO OTHER!!! (i was eleven at this point!) then every game from pikmin to red dead redemption to gears of war and mass effect,and goddamn it! my life was emotionally fucked in every position available! and i will never forget! (Good game though! i recommend anyone starting a dreamcast collection to go out and buy this game! your friend Buguese recommends you!)
