Great video! Getting geared up to do brake hoses on my 06 4x4 after the drivers brakes froze up on me , caliper sticking i guess after having a professional shop do new pads and rotors only 1.5 years ago. Looks like they did not do a good job and probably didn’t even clean the slide pins and re grease as the bottom one was basically stuck So I cleaned and relubed them and havnt had the problem since in fact I didn’t have the problem for two days after it happened before i could get to working on it. Making me wondering f it’s a brake line / hose problem, caliper or maybe air in the system or just the stuck slide Pin. Well I also bled the calipers or the passenger side one as the drivers side was all rounded. Thanks local tire shop ! Lol only ones iv have bleed the brakes So I couldn’t bleed that one. But boy when I did the passenger the crappy fluid that came out ! Hook up a line to bleeder / compress calipers. You already know that I’m sure. So then iv got a 01 my buddy truck. To do new hoses on after iv done new calipers and discs and all that on it Im looking to replace all four flex hoses on both trucks and any other replaceable flex hoses. It’s sounding like there is a center one ? Maybe I’ll just start with the four corners. Don’t you live how these trucks are always either one build or another makibg buying parts extra annoying
Mick, Yep, there are 3 Brake Hoses on the Rear, and I recommend the Ford Part for the Hoses, they come with the Brake Lines that run along the Axle. See the Stiles Automotive Video (link below). I always put the Tools and Parts/Comsumables you need for the task in the Video Description, which should help you. - Stiles Rear Brake Hoses & Lines Replacement - for ’04 thru ’08 F-150 Trucks. ruclips.net/video/MGblX5qZ1DE/видео.html Left Brake Line and Hose Assembly, Motorcraft Part # BRTR114 Right Brake Line and Hose Assembly, Motorcraft Part # BRTR64 Center Hose, Raybestos BH381604
As the guy before me a year ago , my dads truck broke the line up front drivers side theres now a puddle of fluid at my work underneath the truck after I pumped the brakes several times trying to get it from going to the floor., before I noticed the puddle when I got out. Now it's just matching the years and part at the store then go fix it thanks to this video.. thanks man liked and subscribed
Master, Ok, Sounds like you have it covered. Yep, in the video, I talk about the 2 different styles of Brake Hoses, be sure to pay attention to your style to get the correct Hose. You are welcome and thanks for subscribing. Let me know how it goes! - Stiles
Ron, You are welcome! Don't be like me and wait for the part to fail before replacing it. Especially on Brake Components! If you had a Brake Hose rupture, now is the time to replace all of your Hoses, I have a Video showing the Rear Brake Hose Replacement, which will help you. - Stiles Rear Brake Hoses & Lines Replacement - 2004 thru 2008 F-150 Trucks. ruclips.net/video/MGblX5qZ1DE/видео.html
Rider, You are welcome! I don't normally put a Torque Wrench on them, but for you, I did look up the Brake Hose Connection at the Caliper, 26 ft-lbs. Use fresh Brass Washers on each side, and always go back and check for leaks after putting them under pressure. - Stiles
How do you get the hose off the brakes after the line is loosened ? My brisket is still on and seems there a Clio or something! How the heck. Tryi g ti take the caliper and line off together
Mick, I not sure what you mean, here. At the Caliper there is a Banjo Bolt. Its Head is like the Head of a Normal Bolt, but the Banjo Bolt allows Brake Fluid to flow thru it. Just remove it like at Normal Bolt. I have other Stiles Automotive Video, which show Caliper replacement. - Stiles

Thank you for the video I'm hoping you turned a tow home from work into a quick lunch break fix.
Johnny, You are very welcome, good luck with that. - Stiles
Yeah I agree it doesnt warrant a tow truck home even if you have AAA like my dad does. It is easily understood thanks to this guy. A+ I GIVE HIM.
Thanks, I needed this information--appreciate it very much
Glad it was helpful! You are welcome! - Stiles
Very helpfull
Glad to hear that! I appreciate the comment! - Stiles
Thanks it help would have been nice to know the torque spec for the brake line to the caliper

I just got screwed by some brake hoses I bought online without brackets. The hose head would not fit in to the bracket !
Mick, At about the 10 minute point in the Video, I talk about 2 different style of Hoses. Does that help you? - Stiles
