I usually measure out how many squares I'll need for each bobbin, approximate how much yarn I'll use for that section. Measure it out (and add some to avoid running out). Make a ball with that yarn and attach it to my work. To keep it from going wonky, I use a hair clip. That way if they get tangled, I can pick the whole thing up without the balls unraveling. They straighten themselves out, and I can set it down again.

They are magnetic tins found in the discount bin at my local Michaels! I use them for my yarn needles, safety eyes and stitch markers. They work GREAT!

How do you measure the yard when you're winding it? Can you do a video?

Where did you get your cart? Can you post a link to it?

Hi Wendy! It is the Raskog Utility cart from Ikea. You can find one via the link below, but I believe Target has some, too! www.ikea.com/us/en/search/?query=raskog+cart

I'm not sure if i'm lucky or cursed but I just have to hide my ends as I go. All of those ends would put me in the mental hospital. LOL or at the very least a major panic attack. So that being said I use the yarn as is with the pull from the end. But I do understand what your saying. I also use the Creative Couture yarn holders they are a God send. : )
