Seems older videos are very helpful! I was doing the same thing. I have Canva and use it to make my patterns…i UL a picture then I add graph over top the design.
I made a small graph somewhat similar to your H, and was curious if I could double the stitches like you did per block.

Do you know if this works for picture graphs? I have a graph of a giraffe that I want to make larger than a baby blanket so I'm thinking of doubling or tripling it. Do you think this will distort the picture?

New sub.. wow I see this is a old video .. just trying to figure out how to do graph beanies.. but like at least 20 rows in a beanie if I use a small hook. Would this work. I guess I will have to try
another question sorry now that I am following you i got confused you started with 20 ch. 3rd ch from hook will give you 18 hdc to the end. if you put 2 in each chain thats 36, to start do you only put one going RT and one going LT for a total of 18? each row?

Thank you so much for the tutorial. I wanted to try doing a graphaghan but was very nervous. You explained it very well and now I am excited to try this. Especially the Star Wars CAL. You mentioned a Harry Potter blanket. Do you have a video on that? Another quick question. If I was only doing one pass I would chain nine and then add two for the turning chain. Correct?
Hi Amanda! I'm so sorry---I'm the worst at responding to comments! Yes, you would ch 9 and add two for the turning chain. I don't have a video for the HP blanket, but the concept is the same!
