I can't begin to tell you how much this means to me. I have searched everywhere and NOTHING has given me the information I needed like you just did. I am adding a comment before I go and look for the program, and I know this is an old video, so fingers crossed it's still there. Thank you so very much!!!!
Thank you much easier than what I was doing. Using graph paper drawing on an image, deciding what knitting stitches to use for the different squares , then counting the squares and writing out the pattern.
Very cool find! Thank you so much for sharing! I need to learn how to make a graphgan (thank you for patterns) and then one day make my own. I love the idea of doing a customized coloring!
Hi, thank you so very very VERY much. I have a question though. How do I make the graph so that it creates a twin size blanket? Full size blanket? Queen? King?
Thank you so much Im making a blanket for my son and wanted to do a super hero diamond around his first initial and was kinda stuck at start looks like this program will get me started TY!
Thank you for watching mnopxs2 and I had been searching for it myself and only realized that we could do the customized coloring as I was doing the video.
What if my image is producing too large of a pattern? I want a sunflower that shows it needs 60 rows to create the image. But I want the sunflower to be 30 rows width. How do I make this change?
thanks for sharing this!! this is so amazing!!!! I had thought about getting PC stitch but its kind of expensive for something I wouldn't use very often.
TFS however when it comes out all pix elated how do you know what to stitch if it has many colors around it. ex the blk, then beige then gray...does each one get that color stitch? Thanks
Texasyarnlover, Is each one of those blocks a 3 dc for the C2C? That would be awesomely huge. Guess I would like to know how to get the blocks bigger so it could fit a pillow or something like that. This is a new and exciting craft for me. Thanks for your help
this is friggin amazing!!! thanks so much for sharing.. makes making blankets for my daughter so much easier... is there any way to make the squares smaller than the sizes available.. like if id want to do smaller squares of say each disney princess? because these patterns are pretty big!! thanks again!!
for some reason mine don't work like yours, I have windows eight . when I pull up the page where it says the sizes and pull up my picture, I can't do anything else. it has the grid with the picture but there is nothing that will let me do anything else to it.
I have just discovered this. My only problem is how the read the different shade of the colors around the edges when on the original they were not there. any help would be appreciated
Hi Cherylann Hays. You would probably need to clean up the edge. By this I mean you need to make all the different shades in the outline to symbolize one color. In other words if you have a light grey, dark gray, and black you would have to remember to make them all black. Hope this isn't confusing. Thank for watching.
how would you make that a pillow size instead of afghan. I have made graphaghans and just want to get my feet wet making my own pattern instead of buying them. I don't need that many afghans but would love to make pillows for my grandkids of their art work. Thanks for your video. I have subscribed and liked.
why can't i choose a file? when i go to knitpro it comes up with the page you are showing but where do i choose a file, It doesn't have a choose file. I am using a mac pc, could that be why?
kat b Oh yeah, mine comes up as browse, i choose a jpg pic and it say there was an error that i need to change to jpg gif or png, don't know what to do at this point. I really would like to make this
Hi Texas, thanks for the short tutorial. I did the exact same thing for a Mr. Spock afghan I want to surprise my younger Trekkie sister. My problem now is how and where to start this project!! Do I count each teeny weenie square, and is a square considered a stitch?!? I suppose I'd better just get my feet wet and consider trial and error for now, practice makes perfect!!
WHERE does one go to print graph paper? I have searched several different times and all I get is download this and download that and click this and it takes you to crochet or knit patterns. I would just like to print out some before I run out of ink. Thank you.
@Notswife Mazonna you can make your own graph paper using excel on your windows computer. If you don't have excel then you can use Open office or Google sheets. Those are 2 programs that also have a version of excel. It's just a spreadsheet that you can alter the size of the cells (boxes). Let me know if that helps.
Amy Yang look up corner to corner or C2C crocheting.. it makes using this program a breeze!! i just started a cinderella blanket for my soon to be niece.. and i love how this pattern broke it down for me!
hi i found a free website that allows you to make and print off graphs and you dont have to be a member or have a certain size picture. you go to stitchboard.com and click on create pattern and it lets you choose several options to customize. your video lead me to find the site because i work from a tablet and the site you showed wasnt working for me. oh also there was another blogger that said you could copy amd paste a picture to microsoft excel and print that way. her site is crochetparfait. thank for your video. i thank the site would work if i had a home computer.
Well I go on the website just type on the search type in graph with pictures for crochet then you pick on the top where it say Image then you will see all the pictures u want then u can Snapshot on your iPhone and it will automatic save it on your photos tap on the picture and you can even print it out 😬 hope this was helpful 😬I forgot to mention that once’s you tap on a picture it also have relayed it pictures just keep on tapping until you see what you’re like

HI I LOVE THIS BUT A HAVE A ??? HOW DO I GET THE COLOR CHART?
Awesome program and free! Thank you. Be sure to donate to keep it free
how do u know how many stitches to use when doing a graph.. how do I know what my starting chain will be?
Can we use this method for generating filet crochet chart
Yes absolutely. I find filet crochet is even simpler. You can use text as well as images to create your filet pattern.
Hi thanks for sharing...is there possibly another free program I can use besides the 2 you shared in the links...my image is becoming too distorted :(
Have you completed a graph yet? Does the needlepoint/crochet option turn out nice?
TFS however when it comes out all pix elated how do you know what to stitch if it has many colors around it. ex the blk, then beige then gray...does each one get that color stitch? Thanks
This is the best video! I can now go to the next step and start creating the afghan! thank you.
Wow thank you!!
I had been looking for this to make my own graphic designs too, thank you once again!
Texasyarnlover, Is each one of those blocks a 3 dc for the C2C? That would be awesomely huge. Guess I would like to know how to get the blocks bigger so it could fit a pillow or something like that. This is a new and exciting craft for me. Thanks for your help

Im trying to make a double size blanket. I did the XL pattern which 120wX240h is that big either for it? I also have 560 chained
560?! I’ve made two king sized blankets with my beginning chain being 240. How big of a blanket are you trying to make?
Steph Torres I'm trying to make it about a bit bigger then a twin blanket

try Facebook. I am in groups that are dedicated to helping you find out how to make them. they are very helpful. look up graphgans unlimited
yes, each square is considered a stitch.
