After ten years, I'm revisiting some of my favorites :) Good old times when I did not think it would get any better! And now, you're a legend!
A wonderful game to revisit!!
You good Sir are a legend. I will definately get this game, but still I have a feeling I am currently having more fun watching you explaining it as you play than actualy playing it myself. Subscriber well earned
Hahaha, well, as long as you are enjoying yourself, that's all that matters to me. Thanks for watching Novica!
Thanks a lot Rodney! I've got myself the core set to play it solo in this quarantine and these videos are helping me a lot
So nice to hear Nassar - I hope this helps the quarantine time pass quickly (and thanks for being cautious!)
Just bought the game.. Chose the tactics deck for my first run.. got the Ungoliants spawn on the first turn and got CRUSHED within a few turns.. Ahahaha!
Anyway, thanks for these episodes, they are really helpful and I think they were a deciding factor for me to pick up the game!
Continuing with my rewatch of every single watch it played video and I'm really enjoying this particular play through. I ended up buying this game years ago after seeing these videos and unfortunately I didn't take to it massively so I sold it on. But watching this series again..I might have to repurchase it!
And they've got loads more scenarios and campaigns for this one now - so even more ways to experience the game.
exact same situation
I say send the Gondorian Spearman to defend! You have allies in hand to recoup next turn. Great Series!
You had a help line? Wow.... This channel has changed a LOT XD
Ha! So true :)
Hey again :)
I would just block with the gondorian Spearman so the spider gets one more damage.
Next turn I would use the event which stops all attacks. So if another enemy is comin, engage him. Now we can choose which enemy Legolas can kill.
...ah and for questing, send the 2 dwarves again.
Love this video series as it’s helping my partner and myself learn the game! I do have one question which I’m not sure is brought up but maybe someone in the comments can help. If you have an active travel location and haven’t been able to get rid of it via progression tokens quite yet. Do you benefit or get hindered by the cards text again during the travel phase? Thank you and great video!
Jakob, do you have an example card? It might be easier if you can share what the effect on the card is.
@@WatchItPlayed one example that came to mind is “forest gate” (After you travel to the forest gate the first player may draw 2 cards) let’s say this card is still the active location during the next travel phase does the new first player benefit from that card text
@@jakoblawrence4184 No, because you’ve already travelled there to make it the Active location.
Hi! I enjoy watching your videos. Thanks for them! They are very helpful. I like your style of humor. I have few questions. First, if you play a game lets say with two heroes from tactic sphere and one from other, is it possible to give that armor that you gave to Thalin to hero from other sphere if it was bought from resourse tokens of heroes belonging to tactic sphere? Or generally, can you give attachment from one sphere, that was bought as rules say, to a hero belonging to other sphere? And also, I am really interested in this game. It looks so wonderfull. I am also a fan of this story and world! I like these drawings, the style of game... I would like to get one. But the problem is, that it is really hard to find an original core set. The one, that you showed in these videos. Nowadays there is a revised edition, but I would like to get the old one. It is much cheaper. Is there any way to get it, please? Even if I am from Slovakia?
Unless it says otherwise, you can give an item to any type of hero (only the cost needs to be paid from the specific sphere of influence). I am not sure where you would find the old edition now, sorry I can't help with that.
"Welcome back to Watch It Played, I am George Washington...". LMAO XP
Thanks for another useful video, I am new to this LOTR card game, and also thanks for another video with so much humor and nice presentation Rodney Washington, first president of the States :D
And it's REALLY messed up cause I'm Canadian :) Glad you're enjoying!
Order of play question, do I have to commit heroes to the quest Before I draw from encounter deck?
Yep! After each player has had the opportunity to commit characters to the quest, the encounter deck reveals one card per player.
I miss the helpline! :D
Ha! I hope I don't need it too often :)
Can anyone please tell me what the first game was in the intro? I'm new to board gaming so I've no clue! Thanks!
Hey there Karla, that first game is called Mansions of Madness. We have a video series for it, but a new edition of that game has recently been released, and we have a newer series for that as well, which I'll link you to here, wehre we teach and play the game: ruclips.net/video/a2dsq2GsMSs/видео.html
Welcome to the board gaming hobby!
@@WatchItPlayed Thank you for the reply! Will definitely check it out. I have been bingewatching your videos for like 3 days now haha.
Hope you find some fun options :)
Exhaust the spear-man undefended and place the damage on Gandolf .... if that's possible .... if not possible then defend .... and you also forgot the response ability of the location ....
Exhaust Legolas, Defend with the spearman and deal with the injured spider next turn
If you have to exhaust a card because a encounter card says so does it count as a defender?
It's a little tough to answer without a clear understanding of the specific situation that you are describing, but in general, if a character is exhausted, it cannot attack, defend or go on quests.
I find the its best to have a weak ally in play at all times. Their cheap and if destroyed only cost one resource to replace. This way none of your heroes take damage.
Great series. Exhaust Legolas and sacrifice the spearman.
Suggestion when you exhaust a hero. You don't also have to exhaust the attachment. Then it is still easy to read the text and the cards don't start bumping into each other
I think I do cover that in the video.
What does the X mean in the cost of a card, some have a X weird.
TheFewzz The X will be explained in the description found on the card. Hope that helps.
That says only description of the card and not how many tokens i need to pay for the card in the rule book i cant find anything about price of this kind of card thats realy weird
Which card is it?
Green Deck Gandalf's Search event card
X in this case, is the number of cards that you want to look at. If you want to look at the top 5 cards of a deck, then the cost is 5. The cost is based on the choice you make, before you start looking.
do i loos after i got threat 50 or can i finish this last turn?
Saturas hi! if your threat level reaches 50, the game ends immediately, no matter what
Thanks to Nilton for the assist!
