Smoke Elite To answer your question, yes,. In Yakuza 4, Dead Souls, and 5, you were able to play as other protagonists, see all their stories and how they intersect with each other, before it all finally comes together with Kiryu and the others teaming up to beat their enemies and save the Tojo clan, Kamurocho, etc. was always one of them. Yakuza 4 was the first series to introduce protagonists other than Kiryu. Yakuza Dead Souls did the same, but not all the fans were pleased with the game. Regardless, the concept of more protagonists became a success with the fanbase, thus causing the developers to follow that pattern once again in this game.
@Gregory Smith it's not about fear, it's about resolve. Since most yakuza have those huge tattoos on their backs, taking off your shirt before a fight and thus exposing your ink sends your opponent a message that you will fight seriously and hold nothing back. Or something like that. Why do civilians like Shinada do the same, however, is beyond me.

Tatsuo "I spent the last 15 years, doing 5000 swings, and 1000 pushups and sit-ups a day." Does the minimal amount of damage out of the 6 character's we've played as in the series. Akiyama "I lounge in my office while my secretary does my work for me for several years after living as a hobo for so long." Is one of the most OP characters in the series. Tatsuo, you're full of shit.
@Gregory Smith Shinada's a very fit dude so he probably takes less than an hour to do 100 pushups. There are real people that do 100 pushups in very little time so maybe it's the case for shinada too
@@duragonnn I imagine that he does his push ups in like 2 hours and spends all his off time with milky or doing swings as it's his passion, makes sense
i really do feel like wild romance fit this scene better than the western daigo theme, though they are both really great songs. wild romance sort of makes me feel like daigo wanted to help shinada so much because he has the freedom that daigo wishes he had. he has a passion he can chase and that's probably what made daigo look up to him so much when they were in school. daigo was always born to be a yakuza, that's all he will ever be, but shinada made something special of himself, and as cheesy as wild romance is, it really paints a picture of that "normal" life that daigo craves.
+devilleon7 waaaaa no way😱😱. I kinda thought that cause shinada works his ass of everyday and idk about saejima. They don't look bigger than saejima but just looks more defined than saejima
ravingPyrotechnician Yep, Shinada is seriously ripped, better than Kiryu, Saejima, Majima, you name it. One look at his biceps, abs and chest in this video will tell you everything. Compare it to Kiryu/Saejima and any other character.
Replaying the PS3 version compared to the Remaster, although gameplay wise Yakuza 5 has benefitted the most, the PS3 version had a much better translation imo.
@Portgas D Ace He's already pretty powerful as it is. It's made apparent from their condition after this fight that Daigo wasn't going all out and gave up due to being impressed with Shinada's resolve. A guy who can make Kiryu breathe heavily like Daigo certainly is no joke.
Behold, the only reason I would ever cheer on Shinada: when he's punching the crap out of Daigo. Maybe I'm just deaf today, but I can't find this song on the OST even after checking them all. Weird.
It was composed solely for the English version, same as how the opening song for Dead Souls in English was and is thus not featured on any of the soundtracks.
Daigo is such a weakling. It's one thing to be beaten by kiryu i mean that guy is a legend but to be beaten by a baseball player. C'mon man what kind of a yakuza are you.

Man, you DDTed his ass 04:09
It ain't Yakuza if Daigo isn't getting his ass kicked left and right
Something about how short the fight is this way just feels wrong to me.
so this guy is stronger than one PUNCH man
Such a shame they didn't keep any of the Japanese artists' songs but these replacements are still good
not the same soundtrack as in the Japanese version. but awesome skills man !
i really do feel like wild romance fit this scene better than the western daigo theme, though they are both really great songs. wild romance sort of makes me feel like daigo wanted to help shinada so much because he has the freedom that daigo wishes he had. he has a passion he can chase and that's probably what made daigo look up to him so much when they were in school. daigo was always born to be a yakuza, that's all he will ever be, but shinada made something special of himself, and as cheesy as wild romance is, it really paints a picture of that "normal" life that daigo craves.
Poor shinada thought RGG gave him a tattoo
You know, Shinada is lucky that Daigo isn't sick and has a gun
Bro shinada is literally just straight up Natural bulked almost like Jojo characters before diamond is unbreakable
If he did all those body excerises everyday then how come he don't look as big as saejima. saejima must have done some mad weights
His muscles are actually bigger than Saejima's.
+devilleon7 waaaaa no way😱😱. I kinda thought that cause shinada works his ass of everyday and idk about saejima. They don't look bigger than saejima but just looks more defined than saejima
+devilleon7 sorry about my grammar and spelling 😂
+devilleon7 Wait, really? I thought Shinada was swole, but geez.
ravingPyrotechnician Yep, Shinada is seriously ripped, better than Kiryu, Saejima, Majima, you name it. One look at his biceps, abs and chest in this video will tell you everything. Compare it to Kiryu/Saejima and any other character.
~ Wild Romance ~
I see a lot of majima’s heat actions came from this game
Replaying the PS3 version compared to the Remaster, although gameplay wise Yakuza 5 has benefitted the most, the PS3 version had a much better translation imo.
"How many times are we gonna have to teach you a lesson old man!"
How is he not Saitama at this point?
This theme should’ve been daigos theme in yakuza 4
It’s weird playing yakzua with a protagonist who Doesn’t have a tattoo on his back
Ex Hard for WHO exactly?
Damn, Daigo should hit the gym.
+Kanny Boy So is there a way to listen to the full verison of this theme?
Not unless someone rips it from the game. It's way easier with the opening songs since they don't have any sound effects over them.
+Damn Soul You could ask for it over at FFShrine. They have video game BGM rips there.
Thanks for answering, that's sad, but i think i'll try to request this song on FFShrine.
Daigo is such a weakling. It's one thing to be beaten by kiryu i mean that guy is a legend but to be beaten by a baseball player. C'mon man what kind of a yakuza are you.
A baseball player that has been training every day for years and that has more muscles than 99% of the Yakuzas.
he was holding back.
Haraken gard strength doesnt matter in a fight it looks like you don’t even know the basics of a fight
Bosnian Kingdom Seems like your dumbass is trying to apply real life logic to Yakuza.
i know i’m like 2 years late but was it not obvious that daigo was holding back?
First Kiryu, now Shinada? Daigo is weak.
Not really you can see after the fight Daigo was barley fazed and Shinada was exhausted right after the fight. If you really want to get technical Kiryu has been the only character who legitimately beat Daigo.
@@brandinicole1372 Ryuji did too, if you can call that a fight, but yeah. Daigo's certainly stronger than Shinada and severely underrated.
You can't call weak someone who can put on a fight with the dragon of dojima, and the fact that after this fight ends Daigo is like "yeah Tatsuo, you are strong" without flinching while Shinada is super exhausted.
Not to be that guy but daigo was absolutely holding back here
