Great vlog again guys well done to the life boat guys for showing you around, we stayed on a camp site in reedham so never had a problem with parking (we got the train to great yarmouth) reedham is a lovely place the little village on the broads was lovely and the reedham inn was very friendly and accommodating great food aswell 😊 so carry on enjoying it and see you in the next vlog, take care the gowerz Portsmouth xx ❤
It's seal pup season here in Pembrokeshire. Is that anything to do with restricted parking there. Some areas are out of bounds here so people don't bother the pups
Now that was a treat ! I’m local and always wanted to know what that lifeboat is like inside! Bigger than i imagined. Sheringham also has a vintage lifeboat museum which is well worth a visit. Hope you enjoyed your North Norfolk visit.
Sadly I think they already do realise it. That's why they're doubling down on making it difficult, to put people off before it gets "out of hand" and everyone is enjoying themselves far too much. Extortionate increases in road tax for "domestic vehicles"will be next. Watch this space....
Try living in these areas. As a resident we have so much trouble with the Travellers who descend on to open spaces , car parks, farmers fields and in fact anywhere they want to, causing damage to property and leaving behind a disgusting mess of human excrement and rubbish. the local authority has to involve the courts to move them on.
@@braised44 exactly, cos in the rest of Europe it's easy to travel in a van and live full time, no stupid rules to be had. In Sweden, we've got Allemansrätten, which means that you can go anywhere, just don't litter
Lovely meeting you both and having the privilege to show ya around our wonderful boat lester. Sorry you’ve had a bad experience in terms of parking. Hopefully next time you visit you have a more enjoyable experience. Really enjoyed showing you both about.
Yeah! Thanks so much.. Norfolk is a really pretty place to film and we do really like it there. We just need to plan more next time as not very van friendly 😅
First time viewer: New Subscriber • I haven't been to Cromer but I went to smelly Sheringham. There are HUGE quarried rocks on the top of the beach which I assume are to protect the seafront from the thrashing high tide but they're covered in algae and so they smell like a neglected stagnant fish tank or pond which is absolutely rank. Great Yarmouth and Gorleston on Sea are my most favourite places in the UK. Gorleston is the ONLY place where I have ever swam in the sea.
We holidayed recently down at Boscombe beach next to Bournemouth. We rented a beachfront lodge which sleeps 6 and has everything you need but what was a surprise was the Cliff top free parking. Lots of campers up there and no time limits. If you’re heading in that direction when you head home it’s well worth a visit the beaches are lovely.
I have done engineering work at many lifeboat stations including Cromer, never had a VIP tour of a boat. Formerly a Londoner I now live in Norfolk, not far from Winterton. It is a beautiful county and generally very dog friendly.
Welcome (back) to the shot hole of Europe....Not allowed, not allowed, not allowed. No vehicles over 2M. No parking, no parking. £5 fine for stopping at traffic lights. No enjoying the coastline.. not allowed. Seals only show if you've paid to see them. Its not just campervan/motorhome unfriendly its everything unfriendly unless you pay £10/hr to breathe. All run by 'local councils'. 2. suggestions 1. Get that van revved up and heading for Spain ASAP. 2. Don't let there be a 'next time' unless its essential.
.. Oh dear! There’s unfortunately quite a lot of truth in this but I think we need to stay a little more positive and don’t give up hope for the UK😅.. Yes it does feel like you can’t do anything without paying high prices unlike across the channel and there are so many rules in comparison too as far as vans are concerned.. But let’s see what happens when we head north next week and escape the crowds! It’s understandable that things need to be ‘controlled’ more in busy areas.. Spain for example is empty in comparison 😅
Yup, Cromer pier looked packed!?😂...As house prices by the coast elevated, so have restrictions increased. I don't even need to spell it out. Worst is, there's zero desire explore any solution bar bans and fines.
Great vid as always. Loved the lifeboat tour! Uk is so inhospitable towards campers. Yes there are sites to say at and we do at times but they are not always where you want to spend the day and, as you say, just being able to access places in the daytime would be nice at times! So much to learn from France and Spain in particular, but also Italy where we currently are - anyway…. Happy travels 😊
Yes!! Europe is unbelievable in comparison to the UK, it’s very hard to do what you want here in camper, needs so much more planning and you definitely don’t feel as safe when wild camping because of the places available 😅.. Enjoy Italy, can’t wait to get back there soon 😊
We visited once in our Campervan, never again, we even encountered a sign saying no entry to campervans,,, even for turning around in the carpark,,,,, currently watching ❤
@@crafter63We will never go back, We did stay on a campsite that had a private walk through to where the seals where at horsey gap. But we couldn't go anywhere else as everywhere we tried had cones, double yellows height barriers and no campervans or motohomes signs, xx

As a norfolkonian , the councils and nimbys are complete R's holes, so many carparks are unwelcoming for campers and those of us that like to wildcamp with landrovers and roof tents. However as assistant rep for glass I know and have driven every Greenlane in Norfolk over the last 20 years so i do happen to know of some great overnight stops with scenic views... I've also recently joined off grid campers, a great website/place to find an overnight camping spot with local landowners.

Sad , because whether you are an international tourist , or like yourselves UK residents, if you feel unwelcome you don’t stop and support local business. Sad too to see so many UK residents moving to other countries because they cannot afford to buy a home in their own country. This is not just in the UK of course . So many people globally are struggling to buy a home . Thanks for going the extra length to show us Norfolk . I really enjoyed seeing places that being disabled I have not been able to access because of the ban on vans. Many disabled people need vans to transport their electric wheelchairs. Loving your videos and your honesty and balanced views on the places you travel . Hugs

Wow what a fantastic tour RNLI you do an amazing job Thankyou for your professionalism and ultimate dedication , the fact you’re all volunteers is remarkable Wonderful to see really enjoyed vlog Norfolk is beautiful . Visited in 2017 and parking wasn’t easy then .
Lovely video guys… glad you ended on a high!!! We visited Norfolk a few years ago but stayed on a campsite in Wells & went out for days as parking so difficult.
Used to live opposite the boating lake in Yarmouth. Glad you were there on sunny day. You saw it at iits best. Lovely to see the dogs running around on Gorleston beach. Hope weather stays kind🎉
I was beginning to think that you wished you had gone west to Wales, but the sun is shining, and the doggies 🐕 🐕 are having fun on the beach. Shame about the lack of park ups. Cheers 👍 🐸
I lived in Norfolk for several years and often go back to visit family. Interesting to see you walking along places I am so familiar with. When I take my camper down there (old 95 Peugeot Boxer called Doris) we used small independent campsites. Didn't realise it is so difficult to wild camp in the area
Oh really? There are big signs at the entrance road to the carpark saying NO camper vans/ motorhomes/ caravans etc.. Do people just ignore these signs then?? Maybe we should have done the same😅.. Also so many height barriers, I’d say it’s definitely not van friendly! But then again there are plenty of campsites around 😊
@theexPAWers there is a bit just before the actual car park, kind of like the road leading up and loads of campers park there. Thinking about it, you have visited during the school holidays so that may be why the height restrictions are up. I go up with my partners family all the time but not during school holidays and everything is easily accessible. Honestly I would visit again when it isnt so busy, Great Yarmouth has some really cute alternative shops and Hemsby is so sweet but washing away into the sea so it's really sad, but my dog loves the beach and we've seen seals there. Although litter can be an issue on that beach, but that's the general public for you 😢
Hello my lovelies x come back in November when it’s super quiet and see the seals and their pups on Winterton beach. Happy to have you park up at my place just a few miles from the Norfolk coast 😁 Oh and the stone used on buildings in Norfolk is all flint - either kept whole (like a pebble) or knapped to create a flat surface. Love watching your travels and the doggies 💕
awwwww, Thankyou so much for the offer and the info, hopefully we will get back there again soon, still lots to see and if we can have a few drives to park on even better!!! 😉☺️xx
Your videos are perfection. It‘s always easy to watch the whole thing, and I honestly look forward to them. Did I understand you‘re heading to Scotland? That‘s my plan, heading off from Deutschland in exactly 4 weeks… can‘t wait.
Nice to see you making the best of Norfolk on a week that went fully autumn weather but this week back to late summer, nice to see the Cromer pier plus Winterton beach but a few years ago there was a café in front of carpark spring tides and winter storms have changed beach front, better luck next time and if on holiday or day off would be great to have dog walk with dizzie and Charlie and our Maisie moo hopefully the better weather will help your trip up country keep safe and exploring 😀

Glad you got to Gorleston. The beach is beautiful and you can rent out the beach huts. I saw one called Prosecco Palace I think I was called. Safe travels.
Hi guys love what you do … did I hear say van said glow plug issue ??? Glow plugs are needed to regen the DFP wen driving not like on old Vinnie just for cold mornings ….
Hello, yes. Sometimes the glow plug light comes on when we start. But not all the time. These warning lights are a little intermittent and we’ve heard that happens a lot, most of the time we have no warning lights! We will give the van a good service before we leave the UK 😊
Hi guys love your show, sorry a missed ya, could have directed you to very friendly and dogs very welcome, Hopefully next time try the small sticks café turn off at cart gap. Free parking great for walking dogs. Regards Ray
You need to look at the seals from November to January at Horsey Gap . You can’t go on to the beach with dogs when they pup, but you can still see them clearly from the dunes . Sadly we lost a few pups this year because people pestered them taking photos etc .
As a newbie local, I shall now forever call in Gor-leston-on-sea! ..like to know how you'd pronounce Happisburgh and Tacolneston 😂 (probably the same way I did!) Anyway.. loved the video, really well produced. Sorry it didn't run completely smoothly for you, it's generally a really friendly place to live though x
😂😂.. Officially embarrassed! We always get the pronunciation wrong, thought in the UK it wouldn’t be an issue but here we are!! Thanks so much for watching..😁
I tried Winterton-on-sea beach car park and was told 'we don't allow motorhomes' even though my van is only 5m long. I pointed to a VW van same length as mine in the car park and she was adamant that they didn't allow motorhomes! Glad you found a good spot eventually
the reason for the building in flint is both practical and decorative. it will out last most other building materials and it can be shaped and grouped in different shades.
Unfortunately most towns and park ups along the Norfolk coast have gone no overnight camping. Also height barriers everywhere. This is mainly because of travellers causing major problems. Refusing to move on and leaving loads of rubbish, not to mention the local shops and pubs having to close because of the trouble they caused. There are still a few hidden spots, but nothing like there used to be.
Also the Coasthopper or i think it's called the Coastliner now, basically a bus service that goes back and forth along the coast so you could go a few miles along on the bus and walk back to your campsite along the coastal path through the sand dunes.
Hi Sarah & Nick, wanted to thank you for a video a few weeks ago when you were enjoying Olive oil on your crumpets with marmite and nouch, these are all things I love but never thought to put them together and now it's a regular healthy go to 😋 I agree Norfolk is beautiful but wild camping is tricky, I used to live in Norfolk. We now live in Essex near the sea and you are very welcome to fill up with water or park on our drive or enjoy the comfort of a home shower and home cooked meal whenever you need, if passing. We have a caravan, but in lockdown you inspired us to fit out a basic camper van and we had a go at wild camping. Since then you have shown how beautiful the Andalusia region is and we regularly go there and stay in a fantastic hotel. Thursday nights are the best! Take care and keep exploring with your boys they are just gorgeous ♥️xxx
awwwww, Thankyou so so much for all your kind words and what a lovely message☺️.. Super happy that you tried and like the crumpets we eat all the time!! Yummy right?! Hope you have a good week xx❤❤
Love cromer , when we were there in summer hols, the sea was really blue , had yum fish c chips from Mary Jane, then had yum ice cream , watching the diggers move the big stones around xx
Flamborough head in Yorkshire is good for seal all year and Donna Nook in Lincolnshire sea pups too on the beach I think they have website. The pups start October November time x
Gorleston pronounced Gawlstone! Is really nice we park on the Street near the old Lighthouse and watch the ships go in and out! The Film 'Yesterday' with Ed Sheeran was filmed there at the Hotel! Fakenham Campsite at the Race Course is good! We were at Cromer the other week at West Runton Campsite! Going there again tomorrow. There's a big grassy Carpark West of the Pier over looking the Sea, Nice to sit in the Van looking out to Sea!
Norfolk is so lovely with its stretches of sandy beaches. Loved the lifeboat segment. Used to be a coastguard volunteer in Queensland. Our boat was nothing like as fancy as the one you toured. No closeups with seals; maybe you'll see some otters in Scotland! They're such intriguing critters. Guys, is your block if land in Portugal safe? There've been so many reports of fires.
Donna Nook in Lincolnshire is the best for seals, I believe starting end of this month, into next. An excuse for next year! 😂❤ (of course the best name….😘) hugs for all! X
Omg … we were chatting to the seals on 18th September at Winterton on sea for my friend’s birthday ( neither of us is local but we’re just weird like that 😂 ) xx
I had no idea how sophisticated the boats are. I was an RNLI volunteer and used to fundraise at London Bridge station. They also help out on the Thames

Aww great vlog .. just to say … sorry I know I said already… but for future reference … you can park the van in burnham Overy Staithe in the open car park by the water .. free … and walk to the beach with the dogs to the beautiful huge Sandy beach 😘🚌🐶🐶 Norfolk is always so windy … shame they don’t allow for van life … but looks like you made the most of it and explored … thanks for sharing 🥰
Look forward to your vlogs and the UK is wonderful ❤ St Peters and St Paul’s is a beautiful cathedral! I love all the church buildings. Those beach huts are amazing, great postcard stuff!
Thanks so much for watching..😁
So enjoy your channel, we both always look forward to watching you, in a none pervy way 😂😂, Norfolk is a lovely place, shame its gone none campervan friendly, lots of love Arlene and Spider
😂😂.. Awwww, Thankyou guys.. Glad you enjoyed the vid 😊
Great video as always guys. The drone shots are stunning. ❤
awwwww, Thankyou☺️☺️xx
Wow what a fantastic tour RNLI you do an amazing job Thankyou for your professionalism and ultimate dedication , the fact you’re all volunteers is remarkable
Wonderful to see really enjoyed vlog Norfolk is beautiful . Visited in 2017 and parking wasn’t easy then .
Thanks so much for watching and for you comment 😊❤
Lovely video guys… glad you ended on a high!!!
We visited Norfolk a few years ago but stayed on a campsite in Wells & went out for days as parking so difficult.
Used to live opposite the boating lake in Yarmouth. Glad you were there on sunny day. You saw it at iits best. Lovely to see the dogs running around on Gorleston beach. Hope weather stays kind🎉
I was beginning to think that you wished you had gone west to Wales, but the sun is shining, and the doggies 🐕 🐕 are having fun on the beach. Shame about the lack of park ups.
Cheers 👍 🐸
Wales is fab, we know this but we didn’t know Norfolk! Lovely coast line but plan ahead as parking vans is hard 😊
I lived in Norfolk for several years and often go back to visit family. Interesting to see you walking along places I am so familiar with. When I take my camper down there (old 95 Peugeot Boxer called Doris) we used small independent campsites. Didn't realise it is so difficult to wild camp in the area
Great to see your tour of our county , I think the camping will be better inland away from the coast.
Great video and the drone shots were epic.Sorry you guys missed out on Holkham Beach. Its fantastic. Hope you make it to explore the Norfolk Broads👍
Thanks so much.. The weather was pretty bad when we passed be Holkham unfortunately, we’ll just have to save that for next time! 😊
@@theexPAWers I have a quiet park up overlooking my lake for you. See you next time 🙂
We have always seen campers park at Horsey. Also found so many places that campers can park up. Norfolk have always been so lovely and welcoming.
Although litter can be an issue on that beach, but that's the general public for you 😢
So glad you found this lovely beach & Charlie with Desi just had such fun. 🎉🎉🎉🎉
Yes it was such a wonderful place as is most of Norfolk, just a shame is so hard to park up if you have a van! 😊
😉☺️xx
The title was a bit misleading. The people of Norfolk welcome campers.
Norfolk looks beautiful! Lovely video thanks
Glad you enjoyed it 😊
Well done on reaching Gorleston, one of our favourite places. Excellent filming of the coastline, thank you.
❤😊
Glad you ended on high note love seeing the doggies on the beach only just got to see your vlog missed you on Thursday happy traveling ❤️
❤😊
Wow! Excellent work! Stunning video! Lifeboat & hero education! Excellent humor throughout! You keep getting better! ❤🎉
awwwww, Thankyou so much Peter ☺️☺️xx
Lovely weather, it's not raining for a change. Enjoyed the life boat tour, never saw the insides before. Thanks for taking me along
You’re so welcome 😊.. Thanks so much for watching.. xx
Good Sunday afternoon🎉🎉🎉nice video and the scenery is so nice.
Thanks for watching 😊
Nice video guys.
Thanks for that.
We love the way you speak English down here. Charming accent.
Cheers from Canada.
awwwww, Thankyou so much ☺️☺️xx
Your videos are perfection. It‘s always easy to watch the whole thing, and I honestly look forward to them.
Did I understand you‘re heading to Scotland? That‘s my plan, heading off from Deutschland in exactly 4 weeks… can‘t wait.
Wow the lifeboat is amazing & incredible 💙😮
Yeah, it was lovely to get a tour there😊
Nice to see you making the best of Norfolk on a week that went fully autumn weather but this week back to late summer, nice to see the Cromer pier plus Winterton beach but a few years ago there was a café in front of carpark spring tides and winter storms have changed beach front, better luck next time and if on holiday or day off would be great to have dog walk with dizzie and Charlie and our Maisie moo hopefully the better weather will help your trip up country keep safe and exploring 😀
awwwww, Thankyou so much for the message Andrew.. Have a great week ☺️☺️xx
Another interesting video of a place i have never visited. Wont be doing it in my van though. Thanks guys xx

Hey Paul😊 Thanks so much for watching and for your kind words😊.. Sending love to you xx 😊
Great video Guy's that was a big lifeboat the one that we have here is Sussex is a lot smaller.
Hi guys love your show, sorry a missed ya, could have directed you to very friendly and dogs very welcome,
Hopefully next time try the small sticks café turn off at cart gap. Free parking great for walking dogs. Regards Ray
What lovely beaches... the dogs finally got to run and play.. great video.. Thank you so much!!!
Thanks so much for watching..😁 ❤
You need to look at the seals from November to January at Horsey Gap . You can’t go on to the beach with dogs when they pup, but you can still see them clearly from the dunes . Sadly we lost a few pups this year because people pestered them taking photos etc .
Thanks for the information on the parking issues and great vlog 😊
As a newbie local, I shall now forever call in Gor-leston-on-sea! ..like to know how you'd pronounce Happisburgh and Tacolneston 😂 (probably the same way I did!)
Anyway.. loved the video, really well produced.
Nice video, beautiful beach to enjoy. Good thing you’re there off season.
It sure was! Thanks so much for watching..😁
Caister on sea at the bottom of Braddock rd is a great spot for you.
Beautiful video as always ❤
Such pretty scenery. Love the walks on the beach. The doggies love it too.
Thanks so much for watching Sally..😁
the reason for the building in flint is both practical and decorative. it will out last most other building materials and it can be shaped and grouped in different shades.
It looks really amazing we think! Thanks so much for watching..😁
Thank you. I enjoyed the lifeboat tour. Beautiful tour of the beaches too.
Our pleasure, Thankyou so much ❤️ x 😊
The coast road is right on the seafront at Walcott.
Loved this video beautiful beaches and love seeing the doggies playing .🐕🐕🚍
Glad you enjoyed it❤❤😊
Unfortunately most towns and park ups along the Norfolk coast have gone no overnight camping. Also height barriers everywhere. This is mainly because of travellers causing major problems. Refusing to move on and leaving loads of rubbish, not to mention the local shops and pubs having to close because of the trouble they caused. There are still a few hidden spots, but nothing like there used to be.
❤❤❤ Loved the tour of the wharf and super lifeboat rescue craft. 👍🥇
❤😊
Beautiful area. Gorgeous beaches. You would think the park ups would be more plentiful now that summer is done. 🙂👍👍🇨🇦
Great video guys. Have you been to Horsey Gap? The seals are everywhere. The Broads beautiful too. Safe travels and have great weekend 🤙🏽😎
Seals at St.Mary's lighthouse, north east, near Whitly Bay....no height restrictions on the car park 👍
Yes, we’ve found a few spots up north we will check out 😊
Also the Coasthopper or i think it's called the Coastliner now, basically a bus service that goes back and forth along the coast so you could go a few miles along on the bus and walk back to your campsite along the coastal path through the sand dunes.
The dogs just loved the beach yes we stay at sites in Cromer as no parking it's a shame they would make more money .....😊😊love your vlogs xxx
Hi Sarah & Nick, wanted to thank you for a video a few weeks ago when you were enjoying Olive oil on your crumpets with marmite and nouch, these are all things I love but never thought to put them together and now it's a regular healthy go to 😋
I agree Norfolk is beautiful but wild camping is tricky, I used to live in Norfolk.
❤ Beautiful Vlog tonight Guys loved the lifeboat very interesting..Thank you😊
Flamborough head in Yorkshire is good for seal all year and Donna Nook in Lincolnshire sea pups too on the beach I think they have website.
Yeah it’s a beautiful place if you book ahead like you guys.. Plenty of campsites to stay.. Have a good trip 😊
Really well filmed & interesting 👍
Thankyou so much 😊❤️ x
Oooh watching from New Zealand, lovely to see you cut to NZ and our coastal seals.
Do you have any video of your trip here ??
I had no idea how sophisticated the boats are. I was an RNLI volunteer and used to fundraise at London Bridge station. They also help out on the Thames
Nice video. I only tend to ride around Norfolk by motorbike so the parking is a lot easier, but the road surfaces are shocking in places.
Brilliant visit to the RNLI lifeboat station, all run on donations & 100% dedicated volunteer RNLI crew.
Yes, you are right! Only one guy is paid (the boss/engineer, it’s a full time job for him) everyone else are volunteers, brilliant team of people 😊
Many people have stopped donating to them due to their ferry service.
@@galdessa1 Shame on them.
@@theexPAWers wow
@@galdessa1 I will support them
I was there too last year, but I had the fish and chips, and an ice cream,
Also went to Sandringham, there is a camper park
