The fact that you can Buster Wolf straightaway after Power Geyser x2 makes my day. Not optimal in the slightest, but the way I see it everything Terry has is just another way to set up more and more Buster Wolf.
Sajam’s point about some of Terry’s tools being cautiously designed is pretty accurate. Take Crackshoot for example: it goes over fireballs, but only in very specific situations, so it seems it may be better used to call out things in neutral instead. However, you don’t really get anything off hitting someone with it - whether that be oki or conversions - either, even on a Punish Counter. As a result, it’s only use is to extend combos, or pressure in burnout (the latter which it does well, admittedly). I think Capcom recognised his potential damage is very high, so they made sure he doesn’t have too many situations where he can exploit that, but it results in a lot of his kit being unwieldy.
As much as I like the English VA, I think Japanese Terry will always be my GOAT cos he just sounds like he’s having so much fun. Saying “POWA GAYZA” is already very fun, but Terry makes it sound like a party, I love it
@@Calhasnopals its insane how different peoples experience can be. terry has always been that way since the his inception. if anything. him speaking perfect english is uncanny and weird.

one of the reasons i don’t really like to play cammy is that i don’t feel like you have a lot of reason to use her specials and i think throw-looping people is just kinda boring, but that cammy player paid for spin knuckle and they’re gonna use it
It's funny hearing complaining about costumes. When I first started listening to and watching fgc stuff a few years ago it was a common topic to say sfv had too many costumes and it was silly/negative. Obviously theres a happy medium, obviously I'm not saying it's the same people complaining, I'm purely saying it is funny to me.
I recall a period where it felt like all the DLC characters were kept down by system mechanics and took until much later for them to feel cohesive, and now we have people worried that the DLC characters are too strong. People complained the costumes clipped all the time and weren’t high quality, now they want more costumes even if the quality takes a hit. Same as it ever was.
Okay that explains the previous video's title lol. Tbh the terry thing I recall since he's been out is "terry yum goong, which is just a fight scene edited to have terry voice lines (mostly).
It's one of the easiest-looking characters on the surface level but requires a surprising amount of minor adjustments for all situations. Thanks for the "put in reverse Terry" cause now I'm only going to hear that everytime I see a Terry backup at round start for the burning knuckle spacing. Tip for anyone reading this, just walk forward a bit then block round start against most Terry players if you're in Plat or Diamond they always putting in reverse for that burning knuckle + frames.
Simultaneous opposing cardinal directions. I.e. holding left and right at the same time. Hitbox controllers tend to "clean" that out by sending neutral instead
Everyone knows there are only two types of characters: broken OP top 1, or unplayable garbage why did they even put them in the game. So the fact that Sajam isn't calling Terry an instant top 1 like he _clearly_ did for Bison must mean that he hates Terry and thinks he's the worst character they've ever put in any fighting game
not having a plus on block normal does not make a bad character (ken), he just doesn’t have good options in mid range compared to other characters of his archetype
not mid, more like low to mid high tier. His fireball game is way too awkward and his normals are simply okay. He struggles against zoning since none of his specials are fireball invincible and crackshoot is punishable if you don't space it correctly
@@yaboytony3028 heavy crackshoot goes through projectiles. And in fireball wars his goes under their projectiles which can help out especially if they get hit as they are shooting the fireball

A very refreshing sight. I've fought way too many Cammies who just sit back and fish for Punishes.
i feel like playing modern JP is the closest you can get to playing call of duty in sf6
Love how terry terry is, it's really like your playing his game, hitting them twice during power dunk if you time it is soooo mark of the wolf

burn knuckle kinda sounds like Radical
Why does terry make the home improvement noise when he gets hit?
