These kayaks are awesome! Couple things that I mentioned on Untamed Outdoors channel, is that this boat is long and heavy. If you’re planning on buying one, make sure you have the means to transport it. It isn’t gonna be fun to throw it on top of a sedan. Another thing is that a few people have complained of the deck cracking at the feet position. The foam blocks that are inside aren’t fixed into place and will work themselves out of position over time. If you reach inside, you can move them back into place to help support your weight.
@@334tacticaloutdoors I realized those foam blocks needed repositioned as well, after I stepped up front to adjust the trolling motor. I’m sure I speak for quite a few, can’t wait to see the 133X content!
My first time Kayaking and this Kayak held strong. ruclips.net/user/postUgkx4k5UrhC3v_Y4hIEaXLGvHcN5a5aBmZNB The water got pretty rough as a speed boat zipped by me, and the Kayak withstood it (I expected to be capsized). The Ores are very easy to put together, the pump worked beautifully. the seats are a bit hard to sit in after a while (I recommend sitting on the floor). after reading the reviews I was very scared it'd get a hole in it, the material is very strong and durable. The Air valve may need a small Phillips head screwdriver to adjust, other than that, it's well worth the money!(update)I've gone Kayaking in 3 Lakes and 2 rivers totaling about 40 miles. the kayak had two holes and they patched easily and no other problems can't wait for kayaking season this year!

As an electrician, why upgrade to 8 awg? Hell, 10 is big enough. Makes no sense in a 13-foot kayak for a trolling motor. Great review, just a little confused.
The 10awg at 11’ will heat up if you run the trolling motor for a while. There has been a lot of guys burn the wiring up. I always tell people to upgrade to 8awg just to be on the safe side and know there wiring is sufficient for the amps the motor will draw.

Yeah the Yak power sucks as it only worked twice then when I emailed them about problems they said that they had issues with some and said I should purchase the newest version I just laughed at the since it was only 3 months old , will never purchase a bass pro product ever again I, made my own version of power control which has worked without any issues in over 2yrs high only cost me $50 to make rather than purchase there $200.00 piece of garbage.
Sorry to hear you had a bad experience and customer service should’ve been a lot more helpful. I’ve had no issues with the yak power system, it has worked great. The warranty on the kayak should’ve replaced a faulty item. Anytime you can’t get the right answer ask for a supervisor and see if they can resolve the problem better.
It has more room than you would think. The best part about a kayak is you can get it in a more remote area like creeks, ponds and it’s not as heavy as a Jon boat. If you ever get a opportunity to try a kayak please do you might enjoy it.
Watch out for warping dont store outside in heat. Don't store it on its side. Trolling mount will need extra support do to flexing if you dont want your Trolling motor to rip a whole wide open. Lol so glad I got ride of mine not worth it. Trust me. Ohh and you'll definitely need a truck or trailer to even take this cheap plastic thing around.
So I've had this same kayak (Acend 133x) for 13 months now. I store it out in the yard with a cover on it, and it is just fine. No extra support needed for the trolling motor. I've had it out in the bay, brackish, and fresh water. It's held up to 1 to 2 foot waves and high winds. I'm 6'4...230 lbs, plus the battery, trolling motor, battery for my navigation/fishfinder, 52 QT cooler ice and fish, 3 fishing poles, back up paddle, 7.5 lbs anchor, net, rags, wallet and keys oh and a separate smaller cooler for food and a 1/2 Gallon water jug. I haven't had any problems what so ever. Top speed with all that is 4 mph. Even had a drag a capped size kayak full of water once after a kid fell in the water for almost two miles and still didn't have any problems with the kayak or the trolling motor and mount. It's a well made kayak. Does it have flaws yes, but nothing major. It has pros and cons, just like EVERY kayak out their. I love mine wouldn't give it up for anything.

The 10awg at 11’ will heat up if you run the trolling motor for a while. There has been a lot of guys burn the wiring up. I always tell people to upgrade to 8awg just to be on the safe side and know there wiring is sufficient for the amps the motor will draw.
10 ga. wire may heat due to trolling motor current (50A DC possible) & melt your plastic kayak. I upgraded my 133X wiring for safety.
Yes 10awg will get very hot. I always recommend 8awg for a kayak.
Well damn. I had no idea they drew that much amperage. Makes much more sense now.
@@shanedelgado666 Look at wire chart, 10ga 55 amps, 8g 74amps, just curious, I'd like 8ga
I think they need to make it just a little more wider then 36 1/2 they need to make it like 43 inches wide
Lol yea it would. I believe it is coming there getting bigger and bigger.
It is a good thing for fishing. But a bit heavy.
Yes it’s definitely heavy, but most fishing kayaks being made today is heavy.
How does it compare to the perception outlaw that you have??
Stability is almost the same. You get a lot more room to add more mods. I have come to enjoy both of them, but I really like the extra room.
@@334tacticaloutdoors yeah man I get what you’re saying. I’m really leaning towards getting the outlaw for my first kayak, it looks to fit the bill, reasonable price point, good stability looks comfortable etc etc. I feel like the outlaw would be good to start with, especially without a trolling motor, that one looks like it wouldn’t be much fun paddling everywhere lol
You will not be disappointed in the outlaw, it is a incredible kayak.
You're gonna need a longer trailer 😃
Lol it’s set up for my perception outlaw. I gotta build new bunks for this one.
and couple of buddies to load and unload this barge.
How tall are you and your weight? I'm at 330 and I'm top heavy on the 12t sit on. Have you been on that device? Comparisons on stability?
I’m 5’11” 155lbs I haven’t personally been on the 12t, but I know some guys say it’s ok but it has no comparison to the 133X
@@334tacticaloutdoors thanks I'm about to upgrade and I don't wanna have the same problem. I'm 6'4 so a bit top heavy 🤣
Well the 133X is stable and meant for the weight. Just remember it’s heavy at 125lbs, but can hold up to 550lbs.
@@334tacticaloutdoors yeah I normally launch at a boat ramp so I should be good or make a Lil cart for it. The 12t dollie is pretty bunk in my opinion so I'll probably just make one
That alway works.
What are the sliders for by your feet? The black and red things.
That’s the foot rest you can adjust them for resting your feet on them.
@@334tacticaloutdoors ah. Thanks.
@@vorteco7692 you’re welcome
Is there a rudder kit for that rig?
You can add a aftermarket rudder kit to it.
What was the weight rating on this? Didn't hear if you did say.
It has a 550lb weight limit.
@@334tacticaloutdoors thank-you, sure looks like it work great if I get 2 and build my own catamaran. I'm a gold prospector, easier to carry my gear around with that kinda floor space and shallow draft.
@alancadieux2984 it definitely has the space in it for that. The only down fall on this kayak it weighs 125lbs.
Anytime you can’t get the right answer ask for a supervisor and see if they can resolve the problem better.
parabens show...top👋👋💪
Thank you, I appreciate you watching.
Kayaks just seem to crowded to me. I use to fish out of Jon boats which seems like a much better fishing platform to me.
It has more room than you would think. The best part about a kayak is you can get it in a more remote area like creeks, ponds and it’s not as heavy as a Jon boat. If you ever get a opportunity to try a kayak please do you might enjoy it.
The most important question was never asked or answered. How much does it cost?
It’s $1099.00 basspro.com does have sales occasionally I have seen it down to $899.00.
Cuales son las medidas de ancho y largo gracias
36.5” wide 13’ long. You’re welcome.
@@334tacticaloutdoors te felicito excelente kayak bendiciones
@@eloyvillarrealjmz7360 thank you I really appreciate it.
So, what is the weight capacity on it?
It’s 550lbs is the maximum.
How’s the stability of it compared to the perception outlaw?
There about the same stability wise. This ascend weighs about 50lbs more than the outlaw.
@@334tacticaloutdoors its a significant amount of more floor space than the outlaw correct?
Yes there’s a ton more room on the ascend.
Sorry you had such a bad experience with your 133x. I have a trailer for mine and the Motorguide xi3 already mounted and I haven’t had any issues.
@@tommysmith6189 that’s awesome to know your 133x is serving you well. I run a full cooler livewell on mine and the Motorguide xi3 and I’ve had no issues either. Thanks for commenting a good experience.
I have this yak aswell and its a good one have it on a jetski trailer under a carport and does great on the lake on the weekends its a bass slayer
Yes it’s really fun to fish from I have mine on a trailer as well.
Nice
Thank you.
Does it come with the trailer?
No it doesn’t come with a trailer.
Most kayaks have holes in it so the it’s more stable why are all youe holes plugged?
That’s scupper plugs they keep water from coming on the deck of the kayak.
Only 130 lbs, that's impressive!
Yea not as bad as it could’ve been.
Do they make a pedal drive for these?
No it doesn’t come in a peddle drive version.
It would be awsome if it did thank you sir
Yea it would be nice, but this kayak weighs 125lbs that’s a chunk to peddle.
Hey! What kind of trailer did you use for that kayak? And did you trailer it with your vehicle?
It’s a old jet ski trailer I found on marketplace. I rebuilt it with longer bunks. And yes I pull it with my truck, I slide the kayak back since it’s a short tounge trailer, but I’ve never had any issues.
It can be transported on top of a car ?
It’s possible, but it’s 13’ long and weighs 125lbs. I’m not sure what vehicle you have, but you would definitely need some support for it.
This thing is a beast, but does look specifically designed for electric motorized kayak fishing tournaments. Might be a real money maker if you're into that kinda thing.
Yea it’s truly nice to fish from. I have the Motorguide XI3 bow mount trolling motor and it’s absolutely awesome.
Looks like they have sacrificed maneuverability for stability. Looks like your paddling around a cement block.
I don’t paddle I have the Motorguide xi3 bow mount trolling motor. It is a big kayak to paddle, but worth it for the stabling you get.
@@334tacticaloutdoors That sounds good. 👍
👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👍
I appreciate you watching
How much does it weigh
It weighs 125lbs.
HELL NOOO ...😂😂 YOU MIGHT AS WELL CALL IT A JOHN BOAT.
A lighter easier to manage version, but functions very easy.
Seems like the googans are biting the marketing hype. It's a plastic John boat. I said the same when the Hobie Pro Angler came out.
Is truly a nice kayak, the size is what makes it worth it to me.
Should tell the price!
It changes so I try not to mention a price. But right now it’s on sale for $899.98.
www.basspro.com/shop/en/ascend-133x-recreational-kayak
God bless
God bless you to sir.
How much is this kayak?
It goes on sale at basspro.com at different times, but its normal price is $1099.00.
How much
Today’s price of the Acsend 133X is $1099.99 each location can have special sales or discounts. Contact your local Basspro shop or Cabela’s store to check store price.
That's a boat!
It’s close. Still doesn’t weigh what a Jon boat does.
How much is it
$1099.00 they do go on sale from time to time.
Where’s the rudder?
It doesn’t have a rudder.
I had a tandem Hobie i would prefer Hobie
I believe everyone would if they could afford it.
Looks Shaky. Check out the Pelican Bass Raider - Rock Solid.
It’s not shaky, them bass buggy style boats are nice for 2 people out, but they aren’t for me.
@@334tacticaloutdoors I hear you. That boat will definitely last a lifetime. Oh yeah, the bass raider 10 footer is rock solid. Cannot be sunk. Great for 2. Can plug along the shore all day. 1 casting forward the other behind. Great fun!
Yea there nice like I said for 2 people.
It’s a darn bath tub.
A really great, fun to fish from bath tub.
That thing is just screaming for a 6-8hp outboard....
Lol yes, a lot of people have mounted a small outboard on it.
Shoot i want one 😢
They’re nice to have.
You didnt even catch a fish. Be honest, you are only 4 foot tall right? Seriously, probably my next kayak.
No I’m 5’11” 160lb it’s truly a nice kayak to have I have enjoyed fishing from it.
Sorry but that ring is more like a boat than a kayak. You would be much better off with a 12ft Jon boat. Weight - a small Jon boat is only slightly heavier. And you have to trailer it so it doesn’t matter 🤷♂️
And that thing is not stable. If your not exactly in the center you are falling in.
But to each his own. If your happy with it that’s all that matters.
I have a 14/36 Jon boat, even in my video I went front to back and never turned over. This kayak is no where near the weight of a Jon boat.
Its a nice kayak but its made of super shitty material, i got the ascend 128t with yak power and the material is so shitty that it rubbed a hole through it in 3 months (18 times of use), i will never ever ever buy anything ascend ever again but its still a nice kayak
Sorry you had such a bad experience. The material is low that’s how they keep the cost down. Yes it’s still a great kayak you just have to take really good care of it.
Asend kayaks have thinner walls then my cheap Lifetime Tamarack pro 10ft , it's was only $402:out the door
It may have thin walls, but there still a great kayak
Not really a kayak anymore lol Nice boat though. Good review
Thank you, Lol, yea I know what you mean.
@@334tacticaloutdoors They have come a long way from where they started.
Yes they have. There getting a lot better
Hell that's not a yak it's a mini bass boat 😅
Lol it’s as steady as one that’s for sure.
@@334tacticaloutdoors pretty sweet set up bud.
Thank you, I really appreciate it.
125lbs, no way. That boat needs a motor not paddles.
lol it’s built to have a trolling motor put in it, but it’s really not that bad to paddle either.
Reinventing the wheel ,buy a boat already.
I own a Jon boat and 5 kayaks. This kayak weighs 125lbs which is so much easier to get around.
That's not a kayak! That's a fishing boat!
Lol yes it’s a big kayak, but doesn’t weigh as much as a Jon boat. It’s definitely fun to fish from.
