Thanks Simon, this bit me in the backside during your wonderful slash and burn tutorial, now that I've finally figured out where my masks went I can complete it.
I think the problem is down to a design error on Apple's part. The Show/Hide Filters button is right next to the Tool Selection menu which is in continual use. It’s no surprise that users accidentally hit it. They could so easily have moved those buttons to the left to avoid the potential for this happening ... and experience tells me that users often come across it.
When I buy new mac I can use these quite handy things. But so far my 2010 pretty much maxed out pro grader goes on like train…. but damn it starts to be slow compared to these new things.
