    I’m totally new to Motion.
I have looked at a few of your tutorials…. Wow!!!
Your way to explain is fantastic, I’m from Sweden and not very technical but I think I get a grip of it.
Many thanks for your fantastic tutorial 👏👏👏💪💪💪👍

I was just getting started with motion and finished the Lissajous tutorial weeks ago. Then inspired by you, I ditched Apple FCPX/Motion and moved to DaVinci, Simon. Haven't even started with replication of the lissajous because DaVinci's more complicated than Motion and there's more basics to learn. What's bad about Davinci, so far I have found out, is it's full of bugs and crashes and doesn't render the way apple FCPX/Motion does, unfortunately...

What would amazing is a tutorial on how one might track the movements onto a piece of footage - say a person moving their hands

Is there a way to make this light trail follow a specified path rather than have it self generated?

Create a shape using the Bezier tool (or indeed any other shape tool of your choice). Select the Emitter and apply a Motion Path Behavior to it. Select Geometry for the Path Shape and select the path that you created with your shape tool.

Wait… I think your catchphrase might be “Right click, duplicate”.
