I recommend isopods! They’ll clean up the poo and any decaying matter and are happy to share food w the snails. I keep my isopods and snails together and they get along
do you have to clean the tank at all? I want to put actual plants in my terrarium other than moss and don't want to have to constantly uproot the plants to clean each week

They don't though. I added springtails and it was fine. Too much ventilation will make it hard to keep humidity. The enclosure still shouldn't be used though because the metal is toxic to snails

Also not sure if it's maybe just not showing up on camera, but I think I noticed that one of your snails has two little dark lines coming out from the top of the inner most part of the swirl of their shell, and i dont think the other does; maybe you could differentiate them that way? Sorry if they both do and I just missed it on the video, but maybe that could help if one of them doesnt!

Not sure what the mushies are made of but they seem kind of hard (they're really cute tho). Just some advice from a fellow snail mom 😊 Also if you don't want any mold you could put some springtails in there, they eat the mold and any food remains.

I've put my wild caught garden snails under the facet to wake them from hibernation so many times before I eventually lost motivation to care for them and tossed em under a small tree next to my porch while they were hibernating. I think I had over twenty snails keep in mind this was years ago in my life. I just got tired of hanging a tank over a facet while I dripped it on the walls with my fingers several times a day! Long story short my poor snails had a better life if they woke up whether or not they moved to new habitats or got ate by my aunt's and cousins dogs
Snail nerd here, please never wake your snails up unless you really have to. Also, they can damage each others shells by climbing on them. This shouldn't be a problem if they have calcium however.

I always tried to have bugs hatching or snails or something to show my children when they were young, but when my nephew was young I got interested in snail. I found out that they are great for our skin. They got rid of my nephew’s warts when we put them on his hands.
I've just rescued a miniscule snail. It was on my tobacco plant after I brought some leaves inside. I've given him a bit of the finest, low nicotine tobacco leaf, some water with aver small amount of honey in it. He's juschilling with his eyes in arm looking towards the leaf

You guys probably don't care, but when we were in lockdown, I found a snail in my garden and kept it/FAST FORWAD 2 YEARS/that same snail is in my garden right now ! After my mum and dad realised how well I had looked after it, they let me have the pet that I've been begging for years for. A giant african land snail(I've had him for 1 year today). They're really easy to look after, just make sure that their tank is in great condition, on my channel, in the past, I've posted videos of him. Check them out! He's super cool. Thank you for reading!
As a snail mom I own a baby snail but I do not recommend big bowls of water because the snails can drowned in there if you do have one make it really small!! Or the snails can die and that will be bad
I have mystery snails because they're adorable. Im going to separate them from the community tank so they have their own little tank:) I might add at least one or two goldfish so its not lonely because its been with the community for a while...

I didn’t wake them up... I put them on the little plate and they came out on their own

Do you sprinkle the calcium on their food? Or just leave the sepia bone as it is?
@@ryankanters4385you leave cuttlebone in the tank. They regulate their own calcium. If you add it to their food they can overdose on it

They are legal to own but not legal to take them over state or country borders.
