What about the blue French horn that Robin leaves in the corner of her room in Ted’s apartment when she moves in with Don? Where did that one come from? Perhaps that is the one he uses in the final scene of the series. But where did Robin get hers? “I gotsa know!”
Honestly I don’t know why people get so confused about the Bob Saget voice over thing. I’m pretty sure they did that so the voices don’t get mixed together. People will know for sure which version of Ted is talking
That makes sense to me edited: also it still kinda sounds like Ted just a bit deeper that's all, and I think they also did it so if u watch it on tv at a different episode cuz usually u never watch first episode of a show unless u know it's starting, you'll understand who it is
I always felt Bob Saget was how the kids heard Ted and Ted himself obviously was how he saw/heard himself. So in the End when we're all caught up, he's himself.
The voice you hear yourself is different from the voice everyone hears. Since Ted is narrating from his POV, Bob Saget is the voice Ted hears when he talks.
I agree. When you think about it, the answer to how Lilly’s debt was resolved is quite simple. Once Marshall got a job during “the best burger in NY” episode, he remained gainfully employed for life. Ted even says “he woke up the next day, put on his big boy pants, and he never looked back”. Outside of a stint with the NRDC, every job Marshall would/will hold pays quite lucratively. Additionally, Lilly spends time as the Captains art consultant, a job that paid her handsomely. On top of that they made good money of if the Dowisetrepla apartment, all of which could be used to pay her debt, since they moved to the suburbs and lived in a house that was paid for. Thus their salaries just needed to cover taxes and living expenses. This also answers the question regarding the security deposit in the gang’s apartment. Because on top of the money they made when they moved back in, Ted had been living there the whole time as an architect who designed a building for the NYC skyline. Needless to say by the end of the show it wasn’t just Barney that was living like a fat cat.
I watched this series kind of habitually with a friend and if memory serves her father also pitched some of the profits from the game she helped him create and subsequently sell. So there is that too...
I'm pretty sure the delay on Ted's wedding was to show that he used to be so obsessed with finding "the one" and getting married, but now that he did find her everything else seemed to not matter as much. He was happy, and things were easy with Tracy, so the prize of "marriage" no longer held a grip on him.
That's been my take all along. I experienced this change in perspective myself. His true want was a loving, lasting relationship that included children. May he did not even necessarily need a "marriage", and despite the castle thing, definitely not a big wedding.
It also shows the growth he went on. He wanted the big wedding spectacle. He gets married on a random Thursday. Robin never wanted any of it. She gets the grand proposal and big wedding. It shows that both of them grew closer to what the other wanted in the beginning, which then makes sense at the end. Ted got Tracy and his two kids. Robin got her freedom. Then life brought them back together because they both were fulfilled in what they thought they wanted, which freed them to find each other again.
I agree, on all accounts. It was the shows way of having Ted come full circle. In the beginning he is so consumed by the idea of the one and starting the next chapter he forgets to enjoy life. Then when he takes a moment to slow down it is not necessarily for all the right reasons, St Patrick’s Day episode were he commits fraud at a bar. It takes running into Cindy (ironically enough) to get him back on track. So once he meets Tracey & knows she’s the one, all that pomp & circumstance he thought he would need at the start turns out to be unnecessary. Ted knows loving Tracey every day for as long as he can is what matters most, even if that was cut short. A fancy castle wedding & crazy honeymoon are just added decor to the fulfilling desert that becomes his life with Tracey.
My guess is the mother knew she had a lifelong illness that she just didn’t have a timetable for. So after they started really committing and had two kids she finally gave in when he asked. Only thing that would have made sense and made the ending even more tragic. Which would be why she was standing with them during their wedding. Knowing she had limited time she wanted Ted’s main love to be back in his life before she goes.
@@jakedylanhall Ted was the one delaying the wedding. Remember how he tried to blame her for wanting a castle and she replied she'd get married in a White Castle but Ted wants everything perfect.
It's a shame that we never got to meet the mother of Barney's daughter Ellie, though it was sweet that Barney is still a big part of Ellie's life, as shown in the spinoff.
Bob Saget is the voice which is heard in Ted's head as his own. Every one of us hear himself/herself different than the others. But he tells the story to his kids and hears himself talking from his head perspective. Retrospections are kids imaginary perspective and they see and hears Ted like in real life. In last two episodes, perspective changes - it is shown from kids/third party perspective so we see Ted in normal voice. And in alternate ending, Bob Saget returns as he once again say things from Ted's head perspective.
Several of these were answered. French horn - he probably stole it again from the same restaurant. In one episode he brought pliers to steal it. Lily's debt - Marshall stayed in high paying corporate lawer job so they can pay the debt. The Bob Seget one was already explained in other comments. Robin's friends - I remember that it was mentioned in one episode that those were her coworkers she didn't knew much and that is why the gang was her go to friend group How did Marshal saved the world? He became a judge and later supreme court judge so he has more power over enforcing enviromental laws. Pineapple - it was revealed in the last season that the Captain has a pinaple on his porch at his country house and that he also owns a house in the city where he most likely have a pineapple as well. So Ted stumbled on Captain house in the city that night
Also I always wondered what was that story about him and Victoria that he never told 🤨,he told the kids ain't no way in hell I'm telling this story, also about the joke that Barney told Lilly that made her not want to talk to the group for 3 weeks
One of my favorite moments of HIMYM is when we see the 3rd Robin Sparkles song, an obvious Alanis Morissette parody, and we see Dave Coulier, saying it wasnt about him (You Outta Know might/might not be about him) and them says "Cut it out", and Bob Saget jumps in and says "I always liked that joke." - Three amazing references at once!
Questions I still have: 1. Where did Ted's sister go? 2. Who did the pineapple belong to? 3. Why did we never meet Barney's other brother J.J.? 4. What was Tracy's illness? 5. Why weren't the Erikson clan shown at Marshall and Lilly's wedding? 6. Where was Marshall's half of the rent coming from? In the beginning, Ted and Lily seem to be the only ones who have jobs, while Marshall is still in law school. I know he got a job working with Barney later, but were his parents footing the bill for everything else? 7. Why did Barney wait for so long to expose his company? 8. How did the friends not know about Robins court mandated therapy? 9. Why the hell was so Robin so mean to the NICEST person in the world, aka: Patrice? 10. Whatever happened to the letters Ted and Barney wrote after they broke up with Robin?
1. she must have become successful in New York but not be important anymore for the rest of the storyline 2. a deleted scene shows it belonged to the Captain and was part of a tradition 3. we do meet him, he is there when Barney comes to his father´s house for dinner, he is still a child and lives there with his parents 4. it´s irrelevant to the story 5. there were many storylines being told at the same time in Marshall and Lily´s wedding episode so I guess there was just no time and need to show Marshall´s or Lily´s family because they were not relevant to the stories being told in that episode 6. It was coming from Lily. It is mentioned later in the series that Lily supported Marshall throughout Law School which is also part of why they ultimately decide to go to Italy together since Marshall thinks it´s only fair for Lily to pursue her career goals too after she supported him for so long. 7. Barney probably did not want to expose the company as long as Marshall and Ted worked there, it also would have been more boring to the storyline if Barney´s secret had been exposed before the ending of the show 8. they did, Ted is telling that story to his children, but they must have kept it from Barney so that he wouldn´t know that Robin still has feelings for him 9. because she is miserable and lets it out on Patrice, she can´t stand having a person like Patrice around her all the time who is so positive about everything although for Robin the world feels very negative at that time so she is just incredibly annoyed because it feels to her as if Patrice is denying her her emotions by constantly insinuating that the world is amazing 10. haha, maybe the person who becomes Ted´s biographer has them now ;)
because they didn't think the show would be popular and shooted/decided (i am not sure) the ending during 2nd season. So, if the show hadn't received that much recognition, Victoria would have been the mother and the Ted and Robin ending would've worked, because everyone liked them till season 2. But they ended up making nine seasons and still went with the old ending, which ruined all the character developments in Ted, Robin, and even Barney.
@@tigerlord93029302 yeah i know that, but they also mentioned the reason i gave, both of them are correct actually, because if the show didn't go big, Victoria would've been the mother, and according to that the ending would've worked.
Lily sold her paintings to pay off her debt. She was going to sell her stuff until the one painting they sold to the GCWOK was thrown out and picked up by a vet who found out they have a calming effect on dogs (and bums birds out) and he passed the info onto other vets in the city who bought her paintings.
21. I really wished showed Ted cancelling all his Chicago plans and where he decided to live back in NYC right after meeting Tracy. My head canon is he took down the for sale sign and got right back to renovating it
You missed the Scherbastky doormatt replacement. Ted states it was a Mystery for later. They never said wop gave it to her. I always theorized it was Barney.
I personally think they missed a huge opportunity to do “How I met your father” from the Mothers perspective. How she knew each of them and how her life came about and then we could maybe get more of what happened to her after marriage. Maybe call it “Why I married your father” instead. Your number 1 was answered about a year ago. He got it from a guy on steps in front of someone’s apartment
No, that girl he stood up was not Tracy. At that point Tracy was grieving for his boyfriend Max and plus that girl and Ted were kind of similar in age. Tracy was like 7-8 years younger than Ted. If it was Tracy then Ted would have revealed that to kids(also to the audience).
Nope, I accept the deleted scene's explanation of the pineapple, otherwise I'd be up all night for the rest of my life wondering where it came from!! I need that scene for my own piece of mind lol
Love this show so much ! It's my number #1 All time favorites. I still watch it constantly, today I wish we knew all the answers to these unanswered questions it would be great if we knew.
Marshall and Lily sold their apartment and moved into Lily’s grandparents house, so we can assume they got a chunk of money then, plus no mortgage while living in the house. Then they sold the house when they moved back into the apartment. That’s how they paid down the debt.
1.The bob saget thing isn't really a mystery. When we talk to ourselves or hear ourselves in our own perspective we hear our voices totally different sometimes 2. Robins girlfriends isn't a mystery. Robin was 23 at the pilot so she's still young. As we get older friends drift apart
2.Throughout the show they made a point about how she didn't get along with girls very well so im geussing they werent really friends but robin thought they were like when she gave lily bachlorette list.
I love HIMYM. I only got to know it a few months ago when they were showing repeats on TV, so I could only watch parts of series 7 and 8 I think and the whole of series 9. I really got into it and it became one of my favourite shows. Now I really want it from the beginning! It's so funny and always made me laugh. In some ways I wish I was a character in it
Think the biggest delay in Ted and Tracy's wedding was that he wanted it to be so perfect, such as he couldn't decide on a location because something better might come along.
My idea for Bob Saget doing the narrator's voice and not Josh Radnor (the actor playing Ted) is 1. To mark the difference between narrative lines, and lines of Ted during the adventures 2. And to prevent people from hearing Josh/Ted's voice too much and getting annoyed/sick of it But what is also cool is that the two voices had something similar in their tones, while still being different and radicaly personal personality
The pineapple was the captains, in an episode of HIMYF the captain is discussing the terms of his divorce and then he explains he was more upset than that time they took my pineapple from my balcony
15 - they wanted to give the feeling that future Ted is in a different place and has it all worked out, that he’s complete, in other words- a different person;) and personally I think it was a good idea and it actually worked
@MsMojo may you please do an unanswered questions about Friends? Like you did with HIMYM please? I would greatly appreciate it so much 😊 Thank you tons
The tricycle did happen. You have to remember two things: 1. It was rated tv-14, meaning they couldn’t go into any more detail 2. The entire shows premise was based around future Ted telling his kids the stories of his youth. How else do you think they got away with telling us what exactly happened? It happened, just not in a lot of words. End of discussion
I really wish we got a bit of the mother's backstory. We get small glimpses into her life but never any real substance. Why does she live in New York? Born there, moved for school, job? Was it because of Max? I also would love to know more about their love story. And why is the mom so obsessed with rain. Yes I know the whole yellow umbrella is based on her and is a symbol of her and Ted eventually meeting. But like why was she so scared of the rain she didn't even want to go to the nightclub on St Patrick's day because it was raining (hence bring your umbrella) but the mom was soooo spooked when she realized it was raining. My guess is maybe Max died in a car accident caused by rain? But then again it wasn't raining on the mom's 21 birthday or was it? I don't remember tbh. The mom was such a disposable character it makes me so mad cause she was perfect.
We know that Ted gets the Pineapple from the Captains house. The better question is do most of you know the meaning for it being there? Let’s just say it explains Zoe and the Captains relationship more easily. Well other than someone who married her sugar daddy, but yea it’s along the same lines. Here is a hint “swing swing”
“What’s the difference between jam and peanut butter? I can’t peanut butter my ___ in your ____” The writers shared this online at the time and said they couldn’t actually say it on air
No one is bringing it up so I will. The last episode has a deleted scene where Ted and Robin talk about how she got “gouged by a bull” in a news broadcast which led to her becoming a full time anchor.
Clearly, Ted rode the bicycle, that's the reaction of someone who got laid. Future Ted said he never found out about the pineapple, so it's logic that we never have the answer in the show, apart for that deleted scene. As for the monkey mugger, after a lot of viewings of the episode, it's pretty obvious that Marshall wasn't mugged by a monkey. He changed the story so that Lilly doesn't buy a gun, then tells Barney and Ted he wasn't so they stop making fun of him and then he changes again once Lilly enters the room.
21. Why weren't Ted's parents and sisters at Ted and Stella's wedding? Or also Ted and Tracy's one? 22. Why did Heather Mosby never reappear in the show? Neither at her mother's wedding. 23. Who are Carly (Barney's stepsister)'s parents?
As a renter and real estate agent in Manhattan, I can say with a fair amount of confidence that they almost definitely got their deposit back haha. There are exceptions, but in my experience, you REALLY have to do a number on a prewar apartment here for them to keep your deposit.
another question i‘ve is what was the joke that barney told ted and marshall? remember in one episode there was a dirty joke, which lilly absolutely didn’t like. after that she wasn’t shown in the next episodes..
Ok so its not official but the joke was what's the difference between peanut butter and jam? "I CAN'T PEANUT BUTTER MY D**K UP YOUR A*S" PS- the real reason she didn't showed up was because she was preggo :3
I think I can answer at least two questions, the rest can be speculation. The mugger or monkey storyline was left out vague on purpose. If I had to guess, it was a mugger since Marshall said it was a monkey right after Lilly wanted to get a gun. As for the pineapple incident, we actually did get an answer - the Captain leaves a pineapple next to his doorstep and Ted took it.
I will honestly say that out of everything that happened in the show, Ted probably felt like revealing he possibly had a 3 way to his kids was just a little too much info so he left it ambiguous.
You bring up Marshall and Lily living extravagantly abroad when talking about Lily's credit card debt, but they only lived abroad for one year and odds are that the Captain paid for their stay. And number one isn't even unanswered. We literally have footage of a deleted scene that shows where he got it.
About the voice; Ted's kids had to shoot the entire series scenes at the first season so that they can look the same age. They were the only people who knew the end and they couldn't tell anyone about it. So , it makes kind of sense why they picked another guy to do the voice! Although they could put voice over since we don't see Ted until the very last episode. But that's my guess!
My guess on why they waited was they waited because she was sick already and they decided to wait until she was better. Then when the doctor's told her she wouldn't, they decided to just go ahead and get married.
When it comes to Ted and Tracy's delayed wedding, I like to think that its a facet of the narrative the show should've expanded on in Season 9. Time and time again, we see Ted's obsession with perfection and "The One" and while he eventually met Tracy, the show has consistently shown that life doesn't go the way things are fantasized to be. While Ted has this perfect fantasy, its all the more endearing that Ted and Tracy are in a place where they don't need the ceremony of matrimony to firmly live in the love they have for each other.
1. Likely, the restaurant got another blue french horn and Ted just took that one. 2.Marshall was a corporate lawyer and they sold their place. That paid off their debt. 3. Who cares? She was in one episode at the end. Most likely she never appeared again in Ted and Tracey's life. 4. Unlikely he got the deposit back. The spin off doesn't mention it. 5. Super Freakonomics never made it big, but they did some local stuff for a few years. Tracey did it as a side thing, she worked in an office. 6. Most likely they used a different voice actor to keep future Ted and current Ted separate for audience. 7. It's assumed he did, but knowing Ted, he didn't. It actually is an unanswered question but not really an important one. 8. You kind of answered this yourself (and the show has a line about people drifting apart), they drifted apart as she became closer to the gang. 9. Robin spent a long time as a reporter. My guess is she did it as part of a report and got a taste of it. The spin off shows that this time in her life was brief. Its mostly unanswered, and not important to the main story. 10.Ted's perfect match is likely Tracey. But its not mentioned again. So, technically it is unanswered. 11. In extended scenes and comments from the creators it is stated that they were able to pass some laws that saved certain natural elements. Not so much as saving the world, but definitely helping the earth. 12. With the exception of Robin, the gang keep in touch regularly. As mentioned in the later seasons, they do drift apart, with the sale of the apartment, Ted building his home, it happens. But they do keep in touch. 13.It's not mentioned in the show, but according to the creator's, she does! And it is actually a male version of the character who is a construction worker. 14.The Rome timeline is very much quickly glossed over. It is unanswered if anything happened there of significance. Marshall would have likely been bored, Lily would have been enlightened, but I do think they see their home as New York. 15. Barney doesn't care for her name and nor should we. It's the baby that matters, and we see that Barney keeps up with his care and love for the child. 16. They basically waited because they had kids, a house, careers - life gets in the way sometimes. Marriage wasn't important - they were very much in love and a wedding wasn't needed to show that. 17. Likely a false tale. Marshall was likely embarassed, and has a love for creatures like the sasquatch, so the idea of a monkey mugger makes sense. Especially as people can never normally get that close to the cage and they opening shouldn't be large enough for a wallet to pass through. 18. It is never mentioned, and there has never been a proper response. She dies in 2024, and was seemingly healthy up until at least 2017. Rumour has it she has a blood disease, as she seemingly has all her faculties in the hospital. 19. The Cocamouse was a half cockroach/mouse hybrid who could fly. It was a weird joke. 20. As you mention, the pineapple question does get answered.
My only question is when did Barney officially learn to drive. One episode he doesnt know how and is terrified and another he is a “ doppelgänger “ professional taxi driver … driving all over the place.
The deleted scene that explained the pineapple should have truely been deleted and the answer taken to the grave. The beauty of the gag is that keeps us talking about it all these years later.
1. I assume he somehow stole it from the same place again 2. my personal head canon is Barney lent them the money to pay off the debt and they slowly paid him back, they don't talk about it because lending money to friends is awkward plus doing them that favour gets in the way of his evil persona 3. I am also upset they didn't show Bernice at Ted's wedding 4. probably not 5. I assume Super Freakonomics fell apart when Tracy and the other bandmates got busy with their careers 6. they just wanted the narrator to be a different actor and have more wisdom in his voice 7. intentionally left for us to decide 8. kind of a big inconsistency. the finale shows a flashback to when Robin started hanging out with them and she says she has no friends in town 9. oopsie, they forgot to get to it 10. guess we'll never know. some fans think it was Tracy, which is annoying because it can't be due to her age. the perfect match was the same age as Ted, while Tracy is six years younger 11. another oops they forgot 12. I think they're still close, just Robin was distant for a little while but became close with the gang again after Ted's wedding. although I'm wondering how well the finale timeline lines up with that episode where we see Lily and Robin sitting on the windowsill having drinks together a bunch of times over the years. I guess eleven during the years Robin was distant, it still could have happened that she visited Lily once in a while. 13. not something I'm concerned with personally 14. I think Marshall should have stayed in New York, they could survive being apart for a year 15. it doesn't really matter 16. one of many reasons I hate the finale. Ted should have had the big romantic wedding in France. I know a big wedding isn't as important as who you're marrying but Ted is all about the grand romantic gestures. 17. intentionally left for us to decide 18. I think cancer. during the pandemic, fans were joking that it was Covid but it can't be that because she and Ted were on vacation together in Farhampton while she clearly knew she was dying. She wouldn't go spreading it if she knew she had a communicable disease so she must have an illness that there is no danger of spreading to others. 19. cockamouse. that's all we need to know 20. no answer could possibly be good enough my big question is did Tracy reach for the check? we see Ted throughout the series making a big deal about how he likes a woman to do thee "check dance", to fight with him over who should pay for the meal. At one point, when choosing between two women, one of his criteria was whether she reached for the check. I want to know if Tracy reached for it or not
I thought everyone knew why bob saget voiced over Ted, Josh Radner said that the producers thought his voice sounded too young to be playing his older self, which he thinks is funny because he still sounds the same now as he did in 2005
I think with the early season friends of Robin were more like acquaintances or coworkers and she was just going out with them cause she was bored and wanted to go out.
This show is one of my guilty pleasure shows, even have all 9 seasons on DvD. Still want to know the answer to all these questions after all these years. Mainly the infamous pineapple incident
The last two episodes after the wedding should have been their own season where we can slowly say goodbye to the main cast and see how it goes for them instead of the skipping till him wanting to date Robin again…
I always wondered how Marshall got to be a judge when he barely spent any time as a lawyer. Don't lawyers need several years experience in a variety of court cases to have the proper perspective to be a judge? Also, how did Barney get instant custody of the baby of the mother #31?
Some questions don’t need to be answered. The pineapple incident is my favorite episode and one of the best things about it is the missing explanation for the pineapple
Mine has always been did Barney actually run the marathon. They play it off like he really did, but I feel like he had to have gotten in a taxi at some point😂 also did he really volunteer at the soup kitchen? Another one that felt too good to be Barney
Odd crossover moment at realizing not one but two Friends guest stars are in Dowesatripla. Janice, of course. And Chandler's first boss at the ad agency, he's the loan officer.
I thought it was obvious when the show ended, but the reason Bob Saget was used for the voice was so that Ted(I'm brainfarting the actor's name) wouldn't know the ending. Remember, the kids' scenes were all shot in the first year or two so they wouldn't age.

We have seen Ellie’s mother in a deleted scene, and it really was sweet that Barney became a part of Ellie’s life.
@@joshuaingobo1559 do you know where I can watch that? Like the full deleted scene? I've always wanted to see more of Barney and Ellie..
I always thought it was because the original HIMYF, which never got greenlit, was supposed to have the twist that Barney was the Dad
The look Ted gives Tracy when she wonders what kind of mother wouldn't be present at her daughter's wedding kills me every time. It's like he knows.
He knows about the cancer at the time
Season 8-9 had a lot of hints that she would die when you rewatch the show
Bob Saget is the voice which is heard in Ted's head as his own.
Came here to say basically this, you put it better than I was going to though.
Well put indeed!!!
Ooh, I like that explanation!
Perfect!
I believe it’s heavily heavily implied to the point of confirmation that ted did in fact ride the tricycle, it’s only verbally unanswered
Hello dear👋👋how are you doing today I hope are safe from the virus🌹❤️😊🤩??
Several of these were answered.
French horn - he probably stole it again from the same restaurant. In one episode he brought pliers to steal it.
Lily's debt - Marshall stayed in high paying corporate lawer job so they can pay the debt.
The Bob Seget one was already explained in other comments.
Robin's friends - I remember that it was mentioned in one episode that those were her coworkers she didn't knew much and that is why the gang was her go to friend group
How did Marshal saved the world? He became a judge and later supreme court judge so he has more power over enforcing enviromental laws.
Pineapple - it was revealed in the last season that the Captain has a pinaple on his porch at his country house and that he also owns a house in the city where he most likely have a pineapple as well. So Ted stumbled on Captain house in the city that night
Also I always wondered what was that story about him and Victoria that he never told 🤨,he told the kids ain't no way in hell I'm telling this story, also about the joke that Barney told Lilly that made her not want to talk to the group for 3 weeks
also they explained that life got in the way of the Marriage. Sometimes i think nobody is who saw the show is factchecking MSMojo lists
This needs to be higher so everyone can see
One of my favorite moments of HIMYM is when we see the 3rd Robin Sparkles song, an obvious Alanis Morissette parody, and we see Dave Coulier, saying it wasnt about him (You Outta Know might/might not be about him) and them says "Cut it out", and Bob Saget jumps in and says "I always liked that joke." - Three amazing references at once!
Loved this part too !
I’m convinced Marshall was mugged for real and not by the monkey.
Me too. He only said it was a monkey for Lily's sake because she was so freaked out.
@@suzannemenuet947 Yes, he wants to prevent her worrying & buying a gun, so he makes up the monkey mugger story.
It was confirmed by one of the authors in an AMA on reddit that it was a monkey 😊
I think it was the monkey, but I'm biased towards the clearly superior species.
We need another HIMYM spin-off that focuses entirely on the mother and a fuller story of her journey over those years
We’ve really seen a story on the mother and a fuller story of her journey in HIMYM’s 200th episode.
They better hurry up. Tracy Moseby dies in 2024. Maybe she sits the kids down and tells them her life story.
Please...
There's a deleted scene that shows where he gets the pineapple. It was in front of the Captain's building.
I think that sometimes leaving some unanswered questions is OK. it helps keeping the attentino alive, even after the conclusion of a show 😊
Questions I still have:
Actually the pineapple belongs to the Captain
2. The Pineapple belonged to the Captain. It's in a deleted scene
3. JJ was at dinner with everyone
5. Because they hated Lily and that's why the didn't go
7 and 9 were just for comedy's sake IMO
1. she must have become successful in New York but not be important anymore for the rest of the storyline
2. a deleted scene shows it belonged to the Captain and was part of a tradition
3. we do meet him, he is there when Barney comes to his father´s house for dinner, he is still a child and lives there with his parents
4. it´s irrelevant to the story
5. there were many storylines being told at the same time in Marshall and Lily´s wedding episode so I guess there was just no time and need to show Marshall´s or Lily´s family because they were not relevant to the stories being told in that episode
6. It was coming from Lily. It is mentioned later in the series that Lily supported Marshall throughout Law School which is also part of why they ultimately decide to go to Italy together since Marshall thinks it´s only fair for Lily to pursue her career goals too after she supported him for so long.
7. Barney probably did not want to expose the company as long as Marshall and Ted worked there, it also would have been more boring to the storyline if Barney´s secret had been exposed before the ending of the show
8. they did, Ted is telling that story to his children, but they must have kept it from Barney so that he wouldn´t know that Robin still has feelings for him
9. because she is miserable and lets it out on Patrice, she can´t stand having a person like Patrice around her all the time who is so positive about everything although for Robin the world feels very negative at that time so she is just incredibly annoyed because it feels to her as if Patrice is denying her her emotions by constantly insinuating that the world is amazing
10. haha, maybe the person who becomes Ted´s biographer has them now ;)
About the Bob Saget voice, don't we all sound different to ourselves as we talk, compared to how it sounds to others?
Yeah but he wasn’t talking in his head, he was talking to his kids
@sleepytimemeditation3618 still. How do you know you're hearing your own voice, the same way others do?
Here's one why did the writers think it was a good idea to have ted and robin end up together
Or treat perfectly good, likable characters like garbage in favor of Robin.
I grew to not be a big Cobie Smulders fan because of that.
because they didn't think the show would be popular and shooted/decided (i am not sure) the ending during 2nd season. So, if the show hadn't received that much recognition, Victoria would have been the mother and the Ted and Robin ending would've worked, because everyone liked them till season 2. But they ended up making nine seasons and still went with the old ending, which ruined all the character developments in Ted, Robin, and even Barney.
@@pratitithakur174 That was because of the actors playing the kids so they wouldn’t age on camera.
Barney’s dad said that if he was ever ready, to reach out. I wanted an update on if he ever started repairing his relationship with his dad
Hello dear👋👋how are you doing today I hope are safe from the virus🌹❤️😊🤩??
He did, his dad is at the wedding
Another question is how would the Cockamouse have babies? Is there another Cockamouse out there?
Maybe it reproduces via binary fission like bacteria 😐
It splits in two and then instead of a big cockamouse you have two little cockamouses
I missed Victoria's most humiliating story!
I bet his perfect match was Tracy and it was yet another missed opportunity to meet her
No, that girl he stood up was not Tracy. At that point Tracy was grieving for his boyfriend Max and plus that girl and Ted were kind of similar in age. Tracy was like 7-8 years younger than Ted. If it was Tracy then Ted would have revealed that to kids(also to the audience).
Lily's debt was explained by her selling paintings to vet offices
Nope, I accept the deleted scene's explanation of the pineapple, otherwise I'd be up all night for the rest of my life wondering where it came from!! I need that scene for my own piece of mind lol
Love this show so much ! It's my number #1 All time favorites. I still watch it constantly, today I wish we knew all the answers to these unanswered questions it would be great if we knew.
Hello dear👋👋how are you doing today I hope are safe from the virus🌹❤️😊🤩??
i think the biggest unanswered question was ''what was the story that victoria told at the game night in season 1'' i always wanted to find out
Marshall and Lily sold their apartment and moved into Lily’s grandparents house, so we can assume they got a chunk of money then, plus no mortgage while living in the house.
Then they sold the house when they moved back into the apartment.
That’s how they paid down the debt.
No mortgage? Lily had terrible credit, how did they not have a mortgage?
@@BabyGirlTiny they were given the house by Lily’s grandparents.
So once they sold their apartment they would have no mortgage.
As soon as I saw this posted, my first thought was "DAMN IT, TRUDY! WHAT ABOUT THE PINEAPPLE!???"
1.The bob saget thing isn't really a mystery. When we talk to ourselves or hear ourselves in our own perspective we hear our voices totally different sometimes
My idea for Bob Saget doing the narrator's voice and not Josh Radnor (the actor playing Ted) is
1. To mark the difference between narrative lines, and lines of Ted during the adventures
2. And to prevent people from hearing Josh/Ted's voice too much and getting annoyed/sick of it
But what is also cool is that the two voices had something similar in their tones, while still being different and radicaly personal personality
We see Ted fantasize about stealing the French Horn again by bringing bolt cutters. I'm pretty sure that answers question 1
Ted said that they got married after 7 years which means they might have married in 2020 it was as covid year 😅. i Just find that funny now
The pineapple was the captains, in an episode of HIMYF the captain is discussing the terms of his divorce and then he explains he was more upset than that time they took my pineapple from my balcony
2:00. I thought she paid off her debt by the painting she did for Veterinarian offices
That money was for the reconstruction of their house
@@vatsal_agar True but it seemed ro me to be a very successful and profitable niche that she could continue indefinitely
Marshall made a website for Lily's paintings to be sold and they invested the money
@@stacyfabiszewski4633 which no doubt grew to an amount more than her debt.
There's one HIMYM mystery that apparently I'm the only one who wonders about: Why were the hats wet?
15:57 you can’t plan your life, that was the whole message of the show. Nothing went according to plan.
I would greatly appreciate it so much 😊
Thank you tons
Hello dear👋👋how are you doing today I hope are safe from the virus🌹❤️😊🤩??
I’d like to see this video too.
Here you go ruclips.net/video/fnxCHHwklb8/видео.html
1:29 I mean he is an architect, I think they get payed a lot
I think he bought it
The tricycle did happen. You have to remember two things:
1. It was rated tv-14, meaning they couldn’t go into any more detail
We never found out what was the joke that Barney told lily that made her disappear for four episodes
“What’s the difference between jam and peanut butter? I can’t peanut butter my ___ in your ____” The writers shared this online at the time and said they couldn’t actually say it on air
Ted was confirmed to have bought a blue horn after him and Robin broke up.
No one is bringing it up so I will. The last episode has a deleted scene where Ted and Robin talk about how she got “gouged by a bull” in a news broadcast which led to her becoming a full time anchor.
Ted’s perfect match could be Tracy as when he went to her roommates house he loved everything that belonged to Tracy
Awesome! A bunch of questions that were answered afterwards, obvious, or that no one ever wondered about
Clearly, Ted rode the bicycle, that's the reaction of someone who got laid.
Marshmallow was a New York judge, and then later an elected official. When the heck did they have time for Italy?
Such a great show... Love watching this show...
The perfect match was Barney being Barney.
Omg I never thought of that. Like when he made the fake profiles in season…8?
@@karenn.396 yup. 😂 it's a subtle gag, a bit tongue in cheek, but it's there.
The blue French is a very sweet symbol of robin and teds love but my question is why was hanging in the restaurant in the first place
You bring up Marshall and Lily living extravagantly abroad when talking about Lily's credit card debt, but they only lived abroad for one year and odds are that the Captain paid for their stay.
And number one isn't even unanswered. We literally have footage of a deleted scene that shows where he got it.
I remember the pineapple! It was from the Captain, pineapple is the sign of hospitality in his culture and he keeps one outside the door.
Robin being a bullfighting is addressed by her getting gored by a bull.
Apparently the producers thought that Josh Radnor’s voice sounded too young to be the voice of the older Ted
19 Marshal got a high paying job as a judge and lily got that high paying job for the captain.
Mother knows best!
I remember Ted cutting the chains to get the blue French horn
I wanna know why Robin keyed the judge's car and what that had to do with Marshall and Lily going to the zoo
1. I assume he somehow stole it from the same place again
2. my personal head canon is Barney lent them the money to pay off the debt and they slowly paid him back, they don't talk about it because lending money to friends is awkward plus doing them that favour gets in the way of his evil persona
3. I am also upset they didn't show Bernice at Ted's wedding
4. probably not
5. I assume Super Freakonomics fell apart when Tracy and the other bandmates got busy with their careers
6. they just wanted the narrator to be a different actor and have more wisdom in his voice
7. intentionally left for us to decide
8. kind of a big inconsistency. the finale shows a flashback to when Robin started hanging out with them and she says she has no friends in town
9. oopsie, they forgot to get to it
10. guess we'll never know. some fans think it was Tracy, which is annoying because it can't be due to her age. the perfect match was the same age as Ted, while Tracy is six years younger
11. another oops they forgot
13. not something I'm concerned with personally
14. I think Marshall should have stayed in New York, they could survive being apart for a year
15. it doesn't really matter
16. one of many reasons I hate the finale. Ted should have had the big romantic wedding in France. I know a big wedding isn't as important as who you're marrying but Ted is all about the grand romantic gestures.
17. intentionally left for us to decide
19. cockamouse. that's all we need to know
20. no answer could possibly be good enough
my big question is did Tracy reach for the check? we see Ted throughout the series making a big deal about how he likes a woman to do thee "check dance", to fight with him over who should pay for the meal. At one point, when choosing between two women, one of his criteria was whether she reached for the check. I want to know if Tracy reached for it or not
I remember Full House: not even Young Bob was the Bob Saget back then. And he was already an adult. Besides, we love Bob Saget.
I thought everyone knew why bob saget voiced over Ted, Josh Radner said that the producers thought his voice sounded too young to be playing his older self, which he thinks is funny because he still sounds the same now as he did in 2005
I think it would have been funny if Ted's match was Tracy.
😂
wait, the mother doppelganger is ted "perfect match"
I think with the early season friends of Robin were more like acquaintances or coworkers and she was just going out with them cause she was bored and wanted to go out.
HIMYM is an elaborate story that Ted is playing out in advance of fantasizing about Robin.
He got the idea from Marshall.
This show is one of my guilty pleasure shows, even have all 9 seasons on DvD. Still want to know the answer to all these questions after all these years. Mainly the infamous pineapple incident
Why is this show guilty pleasure? Its not feminine 9r anything.
I always thought Ted's perfect match was supposed to be Tracy.
The last two episodes after the wedding should have been their own season where we can slowly say goodbye to the main cast and see how it goes for them instead of the skipping till him wanting to date Robin again…
He stole the pineapple from Shawn Spencer from “Psych.” CROSSOVER
Also I need more explanation of the yellow umbrella
I always wondered how Marshall got to be a judge when he barely spent any time as a lawyer. Don't lawyers need several years experience in a variety of court cases to have the proper perspective to be a judge? Also, how did Barney get instant custody of the baby of the mother #31?
Some questions don’t need to be answered. The pineapple incident is my favorite episode and one of the best things about it is the missing explanation for the pineapple
The only thing I ever wondered was why Ted's adult voice was different than Ted's adult voice.
Mine has always been did Barney actually run the marathon. They play it off like he really did, but I feel like he had to have gotten in a taxi at some point😂 also did he really volunteer at the soup kitchen? Another one that felt too good to be Barney
Wait, what about the mystery of the Voiceover Changes in this video???
My theory on the bob Saget voice is that's how Ted's ego hears his voice
In the end the Cockamouse had a better love story than everyone else.
Odd crossover moment at realizing not one but two Friends guest stars are in Dowesatripla. Janice, of course. And Chandler's first boss at the ad agency, he's the loan officer.
Lily's grandmother (Slapsgiving 2) is Judy Geller
Lilly could pay off her dept when she began to sell her paintings to vets because dogs loved them
I thought it was obvious when the show ended, but the reason Bob Saget was used for the voice was so that Ted(I'm brainfarting the actor's name) wouldn't know the ending. Remember, the kids' scenes were all shot in the first year or two so they wouldn't age.
Maybe Bob saget's voice is how future ted imagines his voice.
If the pineapple ones was answered in a deleted scene then technically it’s not unanswered anymore.
