Hey. I live in Paris. There are a couple charming streets here. I could name them, but my brain just lost it memories. The 5th Arrondissement has a whole “streets too small for traffic” thing, so is a pedestrian only area. Lots of restaurants, especially the other-country cuisines. Lots of overpriced memento shops. Norte Dame is just north of you, the Sorbonne (France’s Harvard) to the south. The River, la seine, runs past, and there’s a hub metro stop. And the most important part: there’s a Games Workshop store. That area is maybe 5% of Paris, though. The right to go one strike is in the French constitution. And the garbage collection Union strikes often. When they do, the amount of trash on the streets is both impressive and pungent. All train lines go to Paris. There are five or six train stations in Paris. So you take a train TO Paris, exit the train, get on the Metro to cross the city to another train station, take a new train to your eventual destination. Kind of annoying, but most of the stuff nearby to the train stations is pretty mid, at best.
Looks like your honeymoon just became a family reunion on a cruise ship! Who knew saying “I do” came with a side of “I do” to family bonding? Maybe you can broker a deal - a European cruise next time? That way, everyone wins!
She either knew, or didn’t care. The real power move was paying for all of their deposits. Then everyone feels backed into a corner. It’s a good flex… just why?
If they are having trouble with their marriage why not have a cruise together as a couple to sort it out...how does having a family holiday help. This was about control
Lived in Seattle, where most Alaskan cruises start, so I gave one a try. My first cruise ever. For Covid reasons, the start port was Vancouver BC. Must show proof of negative Covid test to even board the ship. Halfway to Alaska, I caught Covid. They even had a small section on its own HVAC, so our air doesn’t mix with others. Got a refund for the wasted days, and free room service. And according to Canadian, when the ship docked back in Vancouver, I had to find a hotel that would accept quarantine in place customers. The only thing on their room service menu that I could taste was the chicken noodle soup. And once Canadian law allowed me to leave, I still needed proof of a negative covid test to board my airplane back to Seattle. Even once you’re not sick, not contagious, the tests will read positive for another couple days. What saved me was that the two cities are so close, I could take a shuttle bus to Seattle. Super cheap. No test requirement. Wore my mask the whole time, read some sci-fi, and there I was back home. And the cruise line reimbursed me for the 8 days in the hotel. But based on what I did get to see… not really worth it. The food was… fine. Like a business class hotel’s open buffet. The tours were… fine. I was really looking forward to the Kayak tour of the waterways of a glacier. Prolly a whale watching tour. But Washington state has the largest system of ferries in the world. Including stops at Vancouver and Victoria. The view of the forests and whatnot we passed… take the ferry from Anacortes (just north of Seattle) to Friday Harbor, it’s cheaper, prettier (‘cause the ferry had tiny windows), the kayak and whale watching is better, and your schedule is more flexible. Plus, you can bring your car. Only downside is no glaciers. But Seattle can see two mountain RANGES (the Cascades and the Olympics), just covered in glaciers. There are two giant named mountains, Mt Hood and Mt Ranier)

See this is why I avoid people with close-knit families, cuz it's always like a CULT 😭
Hell nah. My family is close like this but we would NEVER disrespect somebodys marriage like this. Especially for their HONEYMOON! 🤢
If your Husband does not support you and your feeling you need a divorce
I would HAVE FOLDED after they said they’d pay for the cruise. Shiittttttttt.
Get it writing, so you have proof to use against them in court
Right!!! She is stupid.
Yeaaaaahhhhhh you know what we was all thinking
AMEN❤❤❤
If they put it in writing and also agreed to refund the honeymoon, I’d say to do it.
How Rude and uncaring of Them! You did nothing wrong. God Bless you with understanding 🙏. 😊
“You want grandchildren? Then don’t go with your kids on their honeymoon.”
You know the story is fake when OP enjoyed the *"Charming Streets of Paris"*
It's a hellhole there, even for me a South East Asian.

It was probably the moms idea to do the family trip ON THEIR HONEYMOON 😡. How selfish

Tell her husband to go on the cruise with his family and not be home when he gets back
😅 I am so happy for you both ❤.
Accused of being selfish and ungrateful? The woman forcing the entire family to do HER thing calls someone else selfish?

"A pang of sympathy "😂😂😂
This husband sounds like a Mama’s boy who prioritizes his mom before his wife.
Stopping kids from saying first!
Take the free trip. Do honeymoon later.
