I remember hearing this stuff ages ago and when it got to the sick girl I was so angry for that poor family. Like if you didn’t take COVID seriously why the hell didn’t you consider the feeling of the family who did, a family who had an already sick daughter. There is even a trope here where parents raise their kid not because they have a sense of duty to provide for their own nor do they want to see their flesh and blood lead a successful and happy life for theirselves, but they did so as future investment to be their own personal atm and caretaker once they grow old.

Masks have been shown to be very ineffective at preventing transmission, especially the cloth crap that isn't medical at all. If you're high risk, you're best off isolating and staying safe whenever a new variant is running amok (like right now. I caught it and it sucked.) My FIL is immunocompromised and that's what he does. Not even vaxx is super effective at stopping transmission. It sucks. Stay safe man.

For them to turn so easily because of the blabbermouth SIL (who's a malignant narcissist due to her morher) speaks volumes about their own character. EC was just a psychopath to begin with so it was easy for Blabbermouth to convince him to be her attack dog of sorts. CM (EC's mother) definitely is the root of EC's psychopathy and entitlement. That side of the family (and even OP's family to an extent) is nothing short of disgusting.

This is a very similar situation we were facing when and still do. Idk if we can call our family well off but we manage but at this point my mom always says no to any relative that asks us for a loan or any sort of technology through us. It's a hassle and my mom knows if we do it for one person others will ask why not them as well it will continue as a chain and then your good deed ends up being a burden. This is exactly what would have happened if my mom never said no to those requests.

OMG. They'd already given EVERY kid in the immediate family (& their good friends, so they must be like honorary family) an entire college fund!! This saves the parents of each kid so much money! Also helped some with their houses! Just because they treated the parents to a nice trip instead since their house was already paid off doesn't mean someone can try to get an expensive trip on top of already having their kid's college taken care of, house paid off & nice birthday gifts! Save up for the trip yourself, now that you don't have to save tuition for your kid's college!! The nerve!!!
OMG, they also started crap with other more distant relatives! Massive entitlement, from people who didn't help OP & hubby, their relative, when they needed help in the past. You know, OP & hubby apparently need to save a lot for their future besides regular retirement, in case 1 of them needs it for health reasons, as apparently those relatives won't help them if they are in need.
This kind of crap is what often happens to lottery winners.

The entitlement is off the phuckin charts here! Nobody is entitled to anyone else's money just cause they're related. Absolutely insane.

Stories like this are why people who have money don't help a lot of people in need directly. Too many people like this exist that think just because they know you that they are entitled to your money if you come across and abundance of it.

I got so mad when the story got to the part with the daughter who passed 😢 I would have found his employer & told him what happened!!! Sure theres a chance the employer would have done nothing, but Id make sure EVERYONE else knew what happened as well!!

my cousin owns a dog with a silly name that's also a guard dog, its name is twinkle toes (whoever gets this gets a cookie, cousin is a big lover of the show) Twinkle toes is what i can best describe as the most roided up, angry looking rottie, the thing looks like it does steroids FOR FUN!!!
it doesn't take anyones bullshit, if you try and break in, you have 10 seconds after the first growl before twinkle toes charges, but here's the thing: long as you're invited inside, twinkle toes is the biggest fucking baby, he gets huffy when you don't share some of your dinner, (literally as you sit down you'll hear big rottie huffs, he doesn't even wait for you to start eating), he loves children literally brings them his toys and bones (we don't understand the bone thing)
and is great with pregnant woman! but if you're not invited, you best hope you can out run twinkle toes

This story is epic and not in a good way. I thought some of my relatives were scummy.
It is amazing how greed and ingratitude can ruin lives and destroy families. The OP gave, gave, and gave and it was not enough because of greed.
I hope the OP and her family are doing great and are safe. It is great so many people have rallied around them.

Wow this was intense! I can't believe the lengths these psychotic people are going to, to try and steal ops money. That is just despicable! Op if you are reading this stay strong don't let them bully you. You are doing everything right 💝 best of luck to you and your family!

I feel for OP but I more feel for the poor innocent kids involved, mainly because I was a victim of grape(soft word for SA or well grape without the g) and of child abuse and abduction, cause what happened to them maiy have a long turm affect on them so if OP you see this what you did was good but I’d recommend that if you can keep a pocket knife or tell your elder son to keep one cause what will happen if they get out of jail will be more dangerous for the kids then what could happen to you so if you do see this OP try to ask your lawyer friend to see what laws are there against pocket knives or pepper spray. (Sorry for bad English if there is some cause my main language before English was Japanese and Spanish cause of my parents, mom Japanese and dad black Mexican who is not in my life, my y mom is incarcerated cause of drug charges, but still sorry for bad grammar or spelling mistakes)

You know it’s pretty funny how many tv shows depict which people as scum of the Earth. I’m not saying there’s plenty of bad ones but stories like this are not uncommon when someone comes into wealth.
