The Bon Scott era was, in my opinion, the best for AC/DC..
Great job on digging this out!
That was all Alex, so he can take full credit. Did love watching it though.
Alas Bon died and it was tragic.....and then we got the glorious Brian Johnson period. Move on.
Always preferred The Bon Scott version of AC/DC. And it's the way I like music. No backing tracks, just guys killing it and enjoying what their doing. Also, I love their guitars. Malcoms Gretsch G6131 jet, Angus always playing an SG[or version there-of] It's very nostalgic for me. Whoa! That sounded really, really old. Well I am sitting at the computer with a blanky over my legs.
Same same... with Bon but also hard shoes to fill!!! Love the SG and still a popular guitar now. be well!!!
Agree with you nothing wrong with Brian Johnson but Bon Scott was what ACDC was all about preferred his vocals and his stage performance
Went to back in black tour concert sept 26th 1980...3hours of sheer energy and one best concerts i went to
One of the wonderful things about this is the blue collar nature of the performance (if you will). Its raw and beautiful and takes us back to a time of simplicity, lack of hype and sheer excitment! Thanksguys.
It was a different era as you could really see that in this video for sure. Gigs were very different experience then. I miss that vibe
I seen them in 76 with Bon and later on with Brian. They are down a couple of original members but they can still throw down riffs you just can't be still to. Great reaction. by the way i was duck walking with Angus while playing air guitar LOL by the way i am 67.
Oh wow! ain't never too old to duck walk!!!!!! Aint never too old to rock!!
What a BANGER !! I really like what Brian was doing for AC/'DC...but Bon is the real deal.....!!! Maybe Whole Lotta Rosie next ?!
Already done....back in the vids! Thanks Markus
That stage wasn't big enough for both Angus and Bon at the same time.
So Bonn did that funny waddle off stage whilst Angus proceeded to strip :) Classic!!!
What a performance! This by no means one of their best songs, but the live performance really elevates it. They won't win an Ivor Novello award, but they know how to entertain. Wowzers.
With a striptease!!! It was a great performance!!
@@TheThamesmen When I saw them live Angus was in his 50's. Still did the striptease, but it had a slightly different impact for me.
Thanks for that version - haven't seen that before.
But if you want the best version of this song, and my favourite song of all time, see this from the "If you want blood" album.
I saw them live at the Playhouse in Edinburgh I think it was the “For Those About To Rock” Tour. It was loud and I mean I had been at a few HM concerts before that but it was LOUD. Phenomenal though, will never forget it
The GOAT
This has always been my favourite live ACDC Concert. Real rock!!
Yep they sure did!
I saw AC/DC in Melbourne Australia, great rock band still going today
The real influence for the tight AC/DC sound was BILLY THORPE AND THE AZTECS (second incarnation 1968-1972), still to this day the loudest rock n roll band I ever heard. Like Bon Scott, Billy Thorpe was an unbelievable front man with a voice more powerful than Robert Plant. He and the Aztecs were the beginning of hard rock in Australia
Thanks for being here and checking our channel out. More soon!! Thanks G&A
He was wonderful.(but why another English born star.)
@@TheFinnola good question!
@@TheFinnola Because they were both children of British immigrants and grew up in Australia listening to the raw sounds of Australian rock n roll. They don't sound British, they sound Australian because they have been here so long. Billy Thorpe was a teen pop idol but later he was doing hard rock influenced by people like Lobby Loyde (The Purple Hearts, The Coloured Balls) and Mick Bower (The Masters' Apprentices) to name just two edgy Australian guitarists.
Great reaction, gentlemen! Never got to see Bon live unfortunately. Thank you for this!
Glad you enjoyed it.... Be well!!!
Loved it
My absolute favorite song from them 🤘 PURE ENERGY.
Imagine being there!!!!
@@TheThamesmen I can I have a great imagination.
Great Reaction . I've been an ACDC Fan since I was a little kid and now I'm 40 years old and I'll never get bored with them. ACDC songs are timeless and still relevant today and 100 years from now
Keep up the Good work guys .
Greetings from Saudi Arabia
Even though the clip says it's at the Apollo Theatre Glasgow, it's a performance for a BBC show Rock Goes To College at the Essex University, Colchester. I'd say a work experience kid was running the AC/DC RUclips Channel that day.
Here's a vid of the whole show. It's amazing:
ruclips.net/video/WDp2Ni3koPQ/видео.html
Thanks Maurice... Good correction! Thanks for being here!! More soon.
Agree. That’s not the Apollo Glasgow show. Still good fun though.
Tight as they never never lost.
The Greatest Australian Export To The World!! RIP Bon, Malc…
Let There be Rock.:-) :-)
Great - saw them at Hammersmith Apollo as a teenager, on Highway to hell tour with Bon Scott around 1980 : still remember Angus running up and down the isles with his radio pack on guitar and if I remember correctly a smoke canister on his back - priceless ..
Brilliant! George here, my first gig was very early 80s at Hammersmith Odeon to see Black Sabbath. Changed my life and is probably why I am sitting here doing a Reaction Channel!
It would have been amazing to be there!
I know.... I would have had more hair but a denim jacket!!
AC/DC rarely disappoints. Thanks gents for unearthing a classic. But the best part is Alex's disappearing, reappearing chair. That is some state-of-the-art CGI, even for the The Thamesmen Television Network..
No messing around over here. State of the art that's what we are!
In the early 70's they would come up to Ballarat from Melbourne, play in one of the local pubs and stop off in my uncles milk bar for meat pies the next morning on their way back to Melbourne. The hard slog of rock royalty at the beginning of their careers.
Thanks for being here an checking the vid out. Be well. G&A
I remember when I saw them live. After about 48 hours I was so relieved that the tinnitus was not going to be permanent. Good times...
Always a bonus after a good gig!
Here for the engagement, enjoy your holidays
Thank you! You too!
No one rocks like an old school Aussie made rock band.
Bon died too soon but this is honest balls to wall rock wont be repeated until bands stand by their live perfomances....and show what real musicians can create live!!
They were a time and place..... Lived it to the end.
thank you for watching full video
Of course. We want to hear songs as they are intended!
the speaker story is funny. the only time I have blown out 🔊 i was blasting acdc live at the river plate
It is the little things in life that keep me smiling! Good times
12:05 is one of the most epic moments in Rock’n’Roll history
I'm pretty sure this is at Essex University, Colchester, England and not Scotland.
Crazy Aussies! Love it!
The real deal!!!
There’s only one Angus 👏
Yep that’s the truth
You have read the book "Highway to Hell" the life and death of Bon Scott. A good read but a sad read at the same time. RIP Bon (you bonny lad) 🏴🏴🏴🏴🏴🏴🏴🏴🏴🏴🏴🏴🏴
Sounds interesting for sure
bad boogie !!!!!!
The Angus striptease has been a part of the ACDC set almost forever. Even more disturbing is hes dressed as a schoolboy. Ive seen it mainly during Bad Boy Boogie and other times in Jailbreak
Australian pub rock at its best ACCA DACCA Influence a whole lot of Australian music with that raw sound
They are amazing especially these performances
Hey guys, as promised, I am working my way back through your past reactions.
This is awesome. Show me a more impactful, tight and talented band playing for under 200 people and I will buy you both a coffee ... I'll wait.
If you want to see Angus do a better striptease, checkout AC/DC at Donington in 1991 (I think 1991 anyway). In the song Jailbreak. I am not sure if the positive reaction from the crowd was for Angus' solo, or that Brian Johnson left the stage for 10 minutes.
Much respect to you guys.
This was a superb performance. Thanks for the tip hope to check it out soon. Thank you for your support
You know the problem with Nightwish now, don’t you: (sorta the same for. Zeppelin and TOOL) it’s that all us fans are so anxious for you to experience all that great music that we get impatient. I keep looking forward to your next NW vid......But I will try to be patient and enjoy the other great music you review...like this Ac/DC one. I’d never heard this song btw.....I came in after Bon Scott.
Dig around in our past vids and there are some cracking tracks! Further you go back in time the more basic our set up so it is a bit like time traveling without the unfortunate butterfly effects!
@@TheThamesmen HA! Clever...
I would have had years of whiplash and shin splints doing Malcom's moves, night after night for all these years!!
and a brain hemorrhage !
@@TheThamesmen Definitely!! But he's so fun to watch!! Crazy fun!!!
His name is Angus,,honestly guys!!!!
Can’t wait for the next Aussie week for John Farnham.
At this rate we need an Aussie month!
Dead Kennedys and AC/DC my very first albums I ever bought.
Way to start. Good taste!
Bon Scott looks like he's off his chops here.....
Thanks for being here and checking our channel out. More soon!! Thanks G&A
Only Bon, seen them in 1978!
I would have loooved to see Bon and the OG lineup in a small sweaty venue!!
malcon young is the v 12 motor de la banda ,,, bon scott the blues man ,, angus is happye fest !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!y like band AC/DC 32 years ,,,,,,UFFFFFFF weno weno , rock and rollllll
Well said. Exactly
OMFG!! George and Alex, you both are hilarious! Best reaction guys ever! Cock and Ball Inc.!!! BAHAHAHAHA Keep doing what you do, I literally wait in anticipation for the next one you have! THAT my friends is why I started watching these things. Music is my world, music is my life! How do you guys feel about The Blues?
Welcome John and glad to have you along for our rickety ride! We are having the times of our lives doing it and love the community interaction. More videos will be forthcoming with no guarantee as to their quality or basis in facts.
While Angus is doing the strip tease his only accompaniment is his brother Malcolm who is, if anything, the true musical genius of AC/DC. It sounds like two guitars are playing. And listen to it step up after Angus gets back on lead.
Is such an amazing performance. To have been that would have been amazing
Hi gents. Helene here. Hope you’ve got some more NW to share soon! 😁 High Hopes? PLEEZE??
More to come! We will do some tonight then I have a family emergency in Europe and need to get there ASAP before ... well...
Man, that’s a small venue. And the people right in front of the stage. I’ve never seen a live clip that wasn’t an arena or stadium.
I Know.... Imagine being there..... That would have been epic!
@@TheThamesmen yeah, all that young testosterone in a small, enclosed space. Hot, sweaty, loud.....FUN! 😏😀
100% Rock stars.
Bad ''Good'' Thamesmen Boogie ! lol
Thanks for being here and be well!
@@TheThamesmen , always here for great Music; who ever pick it !
@@vnnxyz1473 Thanks !!! Any susgestions you' like us to react to?
@@TheThamesmen , like more grundge or old Rock : Led Zeppelin,Pink Floyd, Deep Purple, The Doors, or Tool,A Perfect Circle, Godsmack, etc... I've got more; lol but maybe Other Viewers might get ''bored'' ; just Kiddin' ! PS. One I wish to see a reaction is...J. Hendrix Live improvisation at Woodstock; but I'll understand that maybe that's too much...
Excellent video again gents! Have a friend who is a surfer that deliberately makes me jealous by telling me stories of seeing these guys at the Bondi Life Saving Club before they were big and seeing Bon with Angus on his shoulders running through the crowd. But for older dwarf stripping try them live at River Plate performing The Jack, ruclips.net/video/eVlRQn6AMYs/видео.html No wizards sadly.
I highly recommend that you watch AC/DC do Baby Please Don't go live on Countdown. Bon comes onto stage in a Catholic School Girl Uniform and lights a cigarette (it was almost identical to my school's) wearing white undies - yes, there's a reason that we know this. It's one of the most iconic performances ever on Australian TV. Countdown screened on ABC (our equivalent of the BBC) and this screened on a Sunday night at 6pm - just before the news. Countdown in its second year was already pushing boundaries - this performance nearly got it pulled off the air altogether. But the music and the performance and Phil Rudd laughing in delight and Bon's antics through the whole thing. Its quite possibly Bon's most iconic performance. They are brilliant and do not miss a beat throughout the whole thing. This performance made them instant stars. It's brilliant. ruclips.net/video/PyJFcsn8B08/видео.html
Thanks for being here and have a great weekend. Cheers G&A
OLLLL RIGHYYYYYYYTTTTTTTTTTTTTT
Exactly!
Great reaction. Anyway, can i request your reaction to superb band from japan?
The band is call "Lovebites"
They all Beautiful Princesses metal band. But they are really really World class musicians.
And they have a lot fans too.
The song is "Winds of Transylvania"
Hope you check out, and can enjoy it too. Big thanks🙏
Hola Hiu - We write down EVERY suggestion so noted!!! Many thanks!! Thanks for being here
@@TheThamesmen great. Thank you.
@@hiufernando7340 Alex has a soft spot for Japanese metal
@@TheThamesmen Lovebites is more 80's metal. Like Metallica, slayer, or iron maiden.
Did anyone get bottled? Does that mean drunk? Love Britishisms! 😁
Ha ha Bottled is when someone breaks the bottle and stabs someone... Sign of a great night!!
In Scotland!
@@TheThamesmen Slightly offended by the way 😉 Bottled in Scotland, Glassed in England 😋
Also, what is this obsession with stripping Dwarves? and how do you know you can pay good money for that sort of thing in Vegas?? 🤸♀️
Tried to find a stripping Dwarf emoji....Oddly, they don't have one.
HA HA.... Classic. I am saving this as an all time excellent comment! Be well Soulspinner!!!
when they were still hungry
And skinny!

BAD BOOGIE IS ANGUS THIS SONG AC-DC WEONES
SOooooooooo MUCH Energy... there's the cause of Global Warming - right there on stage
For me AC / DC died with Bon Scott, they never became the same again.
He was a truly unique talent and totally the right person to be the front man
ESCUCHEN LAS CUERDAS SORDOS !"#$%&/()=?¡
When I see people reacting to AC/DC a have the bad? habit of recommending they should react to Steve'n'Seagulls "Thunderstruck", an AC/DC cover of course. It has 125M views. 5 million during the last 3 months, although it was uploaded 7 years ago. Tens of thousands of comments, 99% positive.
The band started at least partly as a joke, but they are quite popular now. They do mostly covers of old heavy rock classics, respecting the originals but making them their own. Check out the thumbnail to get an idea. Great musicianship with a touch of humor. Still haven't seen a disappointed reactor. Are you going to be the first ones?
Hi Risto!! Many thanks will check that out. Thanks for being here!
As far as my thoughts go- AC DC died with Bon Scott. I can’t stand Brian Johnson’s voice, you can’t make it out, nothing but screaming! But as ALL good things go, Bon Scott left tragically, and way too young! I am a Canadian Army Veteran, so my favourite tune is: For Those About to Rock!,
Great anthem and yes Bon Scott was the business
I don't think I understood a single word in that song. Bon Scott's worst performance.
