    Have visited Rotuma in December until January 2024. My wife is from Hapmak in Salvaka and we have 4 beautiful children. Love Rotuma and the people. The Fara is very entertaining.

    I was 2 yrs old and living in Motusa at the same time this video was made.... grew up there and stayed for 7years then came to Nadi for school...i speak Fluent Rotuman even thou my dad is full Fijian...only my mum is Rotuman from Atapisi Motusa but am very proud to have grown up in the islands....i see Rotuman kids now days with both parent's Rotuman but cant speak Rotuman and worst haven't been to Rotuma...i am so lucky.🏖🏝🌅😍😍😍

      Is that the case with Fijian-born Rotumans? That they can't speak the language?

    Hoping to go there one day. My great grandfather Sebasio from Iju Iju came to the Torres Straits (Australia) late 1800's early 1900...

    Vinaka Jim Bentley. This is such an awesome historical piece on the island of Rotuma. Totoka dina. Isa lovely blurp on Capt Kava Konrote and Air Pacific Bac1-11. Also sported Mua Taukave as well. Vinaka Va levu.

    6.26 'kau ta' a mens only war dance native to Ituti'u.

      my grandfather explained to me when i was young boy watching this performance..... that the warriors in his District Ituti'u in the old days wanted a war chant or call to arms that was different to the other districts and so the 'Kau ta' was born, this was during pre-european contact i believe. it calls the men to war and fires up the courage of the young warriors going to war and during the war.
