    I've been selling for seven years, and this is by far the worst November I've ever had. Sales are down 49% compared to this far into the month last year. And, that's with even more inventory than last year. I'm not sure what's going on, i.e. the general economy, etc. My books are priced over a wide range and at all condition levels. Some are the lowest FBA; some are the ONLY FBA; most are competitively priced (except for the ones I won't price down to total unprofitability just to get a sale); and, I have a 100% rating. And yet, sales have pretty much come to a dead stop. So, I have no idea what the problem is.

      I’ve also seen slower sales this month! Luckily January is coming up, which is the next textbook cycle. Are you winning the buy box with your listings?

      @@jojidavenport I have the BB on some books, but not on many others. I've never chased the BB, because with books it's usually held by some low-baller mega seller or bulk seller. No logic in chasing the BB if it's only going to result in wiped out profits.

      @@jojidavenport Just had a bright spot; an "in-person" OA deal. I bought a set of books from a local guy for $50, plus $11.62 for inbound shipping, and they just sold for $249.95, about $96 higher that the lowest Merchant offer.

    When buying the books from Amazon do you have separate account ? So for example you have personal account . Then a business account. Prime on both ? Our just use one ? Thank you.

    • @jojidavenport
      @jojidavenport  Год назад +1

      Currently I just buy them on my personal amazon account, not a business account. I ship them to my prep center with the slowest shipping method (can’t used prime for business on a personal account)

    Hey Joji quick question, I hear everyone preaching about ScoutIQ but the more I hear about Keepa from you...is it really worth having both you think? Sounds like Keepa offers much more for determining what books may be profitable to sell on Amazon and how much profit...thoughts?

    • @jojidavenport
      @jojidavenport  Год назад

      If you’re scanning out in public (thrift stores, library sales, garage sales, etc) I’d say ScoutIQ is a must. The triggers will help you with speed. If you’re doing online arbitrage, you definitely won’t need it. I do all online arbitrage and I rely on keepa and SellerAmp for their google sheets integration.

    Also, with Keepa Deals is there a way to filter out books being shipped from outside the US? I keep finding books by "New books from Germany." The book might be $15, but then the shipping is $25, lol.
