  • Hey Everyone,
    I know I said I'd wait to re-dye it but I couldn't help myself. This is honestly the color I was initially going for the first time around. I used a 30 developer along with L’Oréal's HiColor Highlights in the shade copper. I let it sit for about half an hour to 45 min. This is not a tutorial, simply just documenting my own experience.
    See you in the next one xx

    Looks great but I think you should wait for your roots to grow out more next tine just to avoid so much overlap with your already colored hair.

    This is your color! It looks so gooddd🙌🏾🙌🏾 Im contemplating on doing bc I never dyed my hair before but the result you have now is what I’m trying to have. Do you recommend waiting that month before doing the second dye to get to this color or do you feel like it did not make a difference?

    • @ZFitz
      @ZFitz  3 года назад +1

      I’m so excited for you, yea I’d recommend waiting the month just to make sure you’re able to care for your hair after the first dye. I would recommend lots of moisturizing masks, and low manipulation hairstyles during that time. My main goal was to avoid damage at all cost, I feel as though I was able to preserve my hairs health by waiting a month in between 🌞 thanks for all the love ♥️

    I love this color do you think if you do it for the first time with the copper on black hair it'll be this orange ? Maybe have it sit longer then an hour and 45 minutes

    • @ZFitz
      @ZFitz  3 года назад +2

      Hey thank you so much, I don’t think it’d be possible to achieve this color in one session at home. I also wouldn’t recommend leaving the product on your hair for too long as there’s always the possibility of compromising/damaging your hair. I hope this helped ♥️ but I’d definitely recommend waiting a month at least in between dying your hair to reduce the risk of damage 🌞

    Does the copper color fade?
    Side note: that’s the color I originally wanted but I punked out because it was so orange. so I got the ‘sizzling copper’ instead by the same brand, which came out darker and more red than I wanted it (which duh, that’s what was advertised on the hair sample In Sally’s so I shouldn’t have been surprised)
    so I went back and got the actual copper and put it on top which made it a red auburn color…. Now after seeing how your hair turned out I’m even more upset I just didn’t go with that color in the first place 😒🤦🏽‍♀️
    I do have another box of copper, I’m wondering if I should try it again in two weeks or so…

      Heyyy 🌞
      The color does fade but I have a video coming out later today or tomorrow where I go into more detail about the aftercare and what I wish I’d known before dying my hair ♥️ I hope you’re able to get the color your going after 🥰 keep me up to date with your journey 😉

    Hey so I wanted that red auburn color thaat you had in the beginning but first try , so should I do what you did in your initial dying video and jus not keep in the dye for as long as you did ? Like you said you left it in for an 1 1/2 hours so should I leave it in for an hour to get that auburn

    • @ZFitz
      @ZFitz  3 года назад +4

      Heyy so yea the first time around I waited an hour and a half because of how long it took my hair to lift to that color, the box recommended to only leave it on for 30 min but I’d recommend checking your hair at the 30 min mark and if it hasn’t lifted, to wait till the 45 min mark then check again if if it still hasn’t lifted wait for the hour mark, keep in mind that you should leave your roots last so you want to factor in the color or your hair when adding the additional 15ish min for your roots. And as far as your roots I’d recommend checking it every 5 min once you apply the dye not to wait until the 15 min mark to check them because your hair may process faster than others and you’ll want to avoid hot roots.

      Also side note haha the people at Sally’s told me 30 developer was pretty safe/ a lot safer than 40 developer. Just remember to not leave it on for too long; and wash it out thoroughly. Hope this helps, let me know if you decide to dye your hair 💕

    Probably shouldn’t keep putting the highlights color on the ends just get adore Cajun spice to deposit color not lift and damage your hair more. Lifting cuticles over and over again especially in a month.

      Can you expand on this? I have low porosity hair and I’m thinking of dying my hair again to retouch my roots and just get the same results as her in the video. My hair is very healthy. (All for context lol) I wanted to use the adore Cajun spice as well but would it really lift properly with only developer? I saw online that you shouldn’t mix it with developer. How would I go about this?

    • @ZFitz
      @ZFitz  Год назад

      I wouldn’t recommend mixing the adore with developer, but I hope you were able to get your desired results ♥️

    • @Azuredaguru
      @Azuredaguru Год назад

      @@eliahyode6051 I’m late asf but no don’t mix it to lift it. The L’Oréal is fine to do once to get the lift but putting in on your whole head with the developer every time you need a color touch up is a no and will damage your hair. I do suggest getting just something that deposits color for your ends and use developer and L’Oréal to do the roots.

    What do you use to keep your hair healthy now that you dyed

    • @ZFitz
      @ZFitz  3 года назад +1

      I’ve been doing more deep conditioning as well as using an oil mixture that I made to ensure scalp health/moisture. On top of that I regularly use leave in conditioners 🌞 also I’ve been spreading out my washes to every other week or once a week at most. This is also done to preserve the color and not dry out my hair
