1. when you dock your ship click the cog wheel option to use upgrades
2. The water spouts bad
3. If you go to the map it will have objective markers (side quests are good for stuff just have to hunt for them, ingfel has the quest to get bombs)

it is kinda triggirring how he hoveres over it and not click on it
You also get different crabs depending on which island you put the pots btw
They're also a lot more valuable than the ones at the main island.
She does refresh, not sure when or how but she does, also go into the waterfall at the island you're on, and the collector quest line is the main quest line.

A couple tips you may or may not know:
-Those wreckfish sell for pretty good as far as I remember, so they're good to pick up whenever you find them, pretty uncommon too compared to others in the area.
-Keep an eye on the eyeball under the time of day at night- It's your sanity and some extra things will happen if your sanity gets too low. Staying in the light will help keep your sanity up.
-Those water spouts are bad, avoid them
-As others have said, you can click the cog wheel when you're docked to get more upgrades and help with progression

Ok you should see this but the eye is panic that makes you hallucinate monsters and invisable rocks and thow to work the resarch parts is with the gear on the right of the sleep button when you get on a dock and you really would get to have more of the game if you did the resarch for the fishing hooks,engines(also get the 1 slot engine first),trawl nets,and crab pots so yeah.....oh and one more thing there are more areas that need specific fishing hooks.
If you find the crest in the center of gale cliffs you can bring the brother home and buy explosives that will let you find refined metal, you have to doge the cyclops fish though by moving it can be in a Circle or a line but it will eventually go away
Coelacaths refer to a fish that was previously thought extinct but rediscovered in the early to mid nineties, right here in my hometown of East London, South Africa. It is pronounced 'see-low-can-th'. Wish I could show you what it looks like. Lol 😂

To get the upgrades you have to click the two cog wheels also the special fish there’s a second option at the bottom of the fish guy
Nah the water spouts are safe but just fling you around but don't damage you
The travelling merchant does refresh her stuff. They refresh every day or every game reset. However, research stuff is refreshed randomly and not guaranteed every day
Try clicking the gears when you try to use the yellow gears I’m not certified identifying things but it may help or I’m incredibly dumb just a suggestion

The research gears are to upgrade to better fishing rods , nets , and engines
you can stop sleeping like 3-4 am and have more hours in your day
Skyes, i love your chaotic energy, but please, PLEASE click on the cogwheel icon next to the rest button. You'll get stuck progressing otherwise. And drive me insane. Fitting, considering the game, honestly.
Also, all shops refresh, including the floating merchant, yes.
