I had spent two days panicking because I built two fully working maps under the same project.
When it became time to publish the gun game levels, it would do it under the same project name and not 2 different ones, essentially only letting me pick one to go live
When I would make a new project and try the migrate method, it would not load the map properly.
I believe the issue was restarting unreal, and opening the level from file instead of double clicking it in the content browser
Either way, you saved me a few days worth of work on that map. Cheers to you! lol

If I have verse files what must I do? DO I have to remove all the verse files and devices on the new map and add them manually from the old map?
Hey tyfighter! Awesome tutorial. Do you know if this affects the ability of the duplicate map to get into discover? I tried duplicating a few maps and changing the art but reusing some mechanics and none of the duplicate maps have ever made it into discover in over a 4 month period of updating but fresh maps go straight in after publishing. So now i always start new maps from scratch!
no it doesn t affect it there s literally a guy in the bed wars section that has the same map like 20 times on fngg
I can vouch that I had a similar thing happen in my own personal testing. I can't confirm with 100% certainty, but I tried to make a mythics loot version of one of my zone wars maps using the duplication method in the video and epic seems to have shadowbanned the map (if that's an accurate term to describe it). Out of all the maps I've posted, the one I duplicated was the same one that conveniently never got a chance in the algorithm.

Hello, I have a problem, no element that I have in my scene appears, no weapons, no devices, no assets.
My question is pretty basic, I am backing up my project files , and I went into file explorer and copied and pasted it, I news to rename the actual file that opens the level ,what type of file is this ?

What can I do if my map is a template? It doesn’t work if it’s a template
I’m getting a failed to load verse class error and the map isn’t working properly, any fix? Not sure what I did wrong I thought I did everything the same that you did
I’d like to add that it did this to both the original and duplicate map and neither work and I haven’t figured out a fix yet besides rebuilding all of the code manually. Just be cautious when trying to duplicate your maps
How do you rename the migrated level then?

Thank you, I tired same facing one issue, the level asset appears in Windows Explorer folder but not appearing in the project

@@TrickTygerI did, couple of times closed and opened but no use, in fact all other assets are appearing only Level not appearing even in GameFeatureData to change default level. I tried to rename migrated Level name same like default Level, there are so many errors.

Not at all, it just makes a copy of the original level. It doesn't change the original at all.

all of the devices have issues when I migrate anybody else have this issue
Custom verse devices break references attached to them ! So this method doesn't work if you need them
You have to manually move the verse unfortunately 😪
What Can I do to migrate also the FAB stuff? My whole map is done with FAB stuff... haha
Unfortunately you have to drag all the fab stuff out again (anywhere into the level) but then you can remove it after and it works
this doesnt work for verse devices though it shows errors

I just did this, migrated one of my other maps into a new project, however 10k memory has been added, any ideas why?
Not a clue, the update this week seems to have added a ton of memory to stuff :-(
It added an extra 30k to my map. Wolrd partrition doesn't do anthing either. I've tried and search for the problem and nothing.

bruh my hardrive broke and i got a ssd and it didn't save any of my ubfn world and i dont know how to get them back
Unless you were using the unreal revision control and checked in (bottom right corner) then unfortunately they're gone

Did you use fab assets by any chance? You have to add them back manually unfortunately (it doesn't seem to work with verse devices either)

No, still works fine. Unless you've got fab assets or verse code. Those need to be removed and added again

Doesn’t work for me.
Shows folder is pending syncing but I’ve retried multiple times and can’t even get to the point of opening the copy let alone testing it.
