  • Catch More Fish by Changing Your Tactics. Have you been fishing your favourite venues in the same way for years? And have you ever wondered if you could catch more fish by changing the way you approach the fishing at these venues, but never tried it? I have, but this time I decided to do something about it.
In this episode I am fishing a tidal river which does not get any pressure from Carp Anglers, so the fish don’t really know what bait is. I normally catch around 5 good sized carp in a session by feeding only with a Method Feeder. The difference is that on this occasion I am going to ‘Ball In’ a large amount of Groundbait right at the start. I am hoping the change of approach will lead to a larger number of carp entering my swim and therefore providing me with a greater number of fish to catch.
Watch the video to see if I succeeded.

What another great days fishing there Den, that was a good move you made moving to Oz. I'm really envious of you fishing in shorts and light top when I'm in 5 or 6 layers of clothing to keep warm here in the UK, those carp over there must like spicy food because you seem to do well on that turmeric you use in your bait on your days out. I will definitely have to give that a try when the weather breaks over here ha ha, i aways enjoy watching you videos, nice work.

Thanks Hilary. It's not the easiest venue when you are used to fishing on commercials in the UK, but once you get the tackle right, it's definitely a great one.

I do really enjoy fishing here John. The biggest I've had was 20lbs, but I'm sure there must be larger fish present. This year, one of my goals is to see if I can sort out the larger fish by using different tactics, including different baits. Having said that, the Mullet are great fun too.

@@FishingwithDen Quite enjoy seeing you pull in the bi-catch too; mullet, bream etc.
Took the kids fishing near your fishing spot, from your 10 December upload, yesterday. Probably about 100m to the left of your day 3 position. You must be a saint to have kept your cool that side of the lake. The number of cyclists and electric scooters flying past and people out power walking and (power) talking on their iPhones was really bothersome. Used to be my favourite fishing area down there before the development. 🙄

@@johnwilliams2711 I know mate. It is a pain. It's even worse when you need to answer the call of nature. Lol.

So now you will be balling it in like a goodun? I have found so often when it is time to leave you get the most bites and usually the biggest fish. Great vid once more.
