Yep, I got the wooden spoon too! And the belt. Actually had to pull down my pants (!) and bend over to get spanked or belted. Crazy. And yes, I remember hearing kids yell for help from “Jehovah” as they were being escorted to the bathroom during meeting for “misbehaving” (probably just acting like a normal kid being forced to sit through a 2 hour meeting with no age-appropriate stimulation). How mortifying for the parents, but they probably deserved it. I don’t think the kid would be crying out like that if he was about to get just a talking-to.

I had just been watching Aron Ra’s Church and state video right before. It’s amazing how blunt Trump is about wanting to take away people’s freedom from religion.

I have listened to the political scene, especially the last few years. I get concerned over the mental/ emotional health and ability to do critical thinking or have a bit more wisdom or depth in understanding issues. I think about the environmental/misuse of our resources as well as the status of people/children/s well-being. Just as a basic paradigm, at the very top is exploitation and cruelty. And the question- how can humans thrive the best? What is freedom to one person operates as a control to/for others. The issues get complicated in a complex world and all of its nuances.
