The technique is amazing. Only more amazing is how careful you were pointing viewers for foundational information when you used any of the tricks. Way to go!
Fantastic video! Thank you for the information. Also, your voice is perfect for an instructional video. You sound like a radio DJ or a therapist, which is very soothing.
This is awesome!!! I had a feeling you were gonna sink the foundations to get them like that but i didnt think to have the placeholders to snap them back. Makes sense! Definitely going to try this when i get home in the morning
I know this video is a year old but I have to say that I learned something totally new-I didn't know this could be done with any halfwalls. I will be adding this to my building plans for sure.
I appreciate you taking the time for this most excellent improvement.. I do have 2 questions though. 1. how is this done with a 2nd floor porch the is also a overhang? 2. how do you clean up the corners to not "look empty?" Thank you,
This looks great, but I just don't understand why Bethesda doesn't simply provide these pieces as ready-made; Just modify the existing assets and offer it as an update - make a big show of this as a much-requested addition and really promote it...
7:40 does that mean we can request to buy any item previously seen in the atom shop even if it's not on the current atom shop sale rotation? I had no idea you could submit support tickets to request a purchase for specific items
If you are talking about the one in the video, it is not attached to the other foundation when I lower the placeholder 1 foundation. The other foundation you see in the lowering sequence is just adjacent to the placeholder foundation and it is only a visual guide as to how far you need to lower the placeholder 1 foundation. You cannot lower a foundation if any of the four side are snapped to another foundation. Watch this part of the video carefully, it’s fairly clear. Also check out Darth Xion video that I linked in the description. It shows how you can smoothly lower foundations like I did in my video here. Hope this helps!! Thanks!
Man that makes it so easy. I am so late to learning camp building tricks. I spend a lot of time building in Fallout 4 so building is fun for me. Now I have a new tool to work with. Two questions should I build the porch first and then the rest of my camp? Can this be on a second floor, that it could be used to make a complete enclosed porch with two types of half walls.
The flamer will work just fine without power in any world. I've never had to connect mine to power with any of my builds for nearly three years now. Just set it and then hit your USE button when it's highlighted on your screen.
I don't believe this will work with the lookout tower since the tower does not have foundations that we can use like you see in the video here. I may take a look at it again to see if there is some way to make it work, but I'm not optimistic at this time.
Great vid! Something I learned the hard way though, you can't move the foundations once you've added the half walls, otherwise, the half walls pop back up. I even tried to blueprint them and they still pop back up :(
I wasn't sure if I covered that in the video, but yes you are correct that you will need to replace the half wall again if you need to remove the foundation for some reason and replace it. Anything merged that you blueprint will not retain its merged position, the merged items will separate.
About that support ticket thing... can that be done to get other past items like the glass walls, plasma cutter, power armor stands, etc? Wouldn't that be a boon! Cool video BTW. I've been wanting to use half walls but they block the view. Seems a bit silly to me.
You can snap half walls to slanted roof pieces. If you build half walls 1 tile from where you want the half wall, add a slanted roof piece and a half wall to the top, change the roof piece to a flat one and remove both half wall and the roof piece to leave the floating half wall, change to glass half wall and add flooring. You might need to mess with building a full wall then a half wall on top build up then down with the roof pieces until you get the right height. I'd have to test it out
Cool tutorial and all but its so ignorant we have to have cheats and hacks to build basic things in our camps. its 2024 and the building and placing of items in FO76 feels like a pc game from the early 2000's
The technique is amazing. Only more amazing is how careful you were pointing viewers for foundational information when you used any of the tricks. Way to go!
Thank you! Glad to hear my process is working!
What a well explained tutorial, a guy could learn a thing or two from these 👍 Well done mate
Thanks much! I enjoy your videos very much!
One of the best tutorials I've seen! This is awesome!
This is awesome. I'm going to have to bite the bullet and start learning some flamer trap tricks
Thanks! The flamer is a must have for this and many other builds!
Very well explained tutorial, camera work was spot on too. Keep up the quality work. I definitely see your channel going upwards. 👍👍
Thank you!! I appreciate your feedback very much!

You are so welcome!
Kudos Mister G! I didn't know you were in YT, I use to buy weapons from you. Nice tuto!!!

"This is a public service announcement, brought to you, in part, by slim shady." That's all I can hear when you talk! 😂 not a bad thing
Fantastic idea! :) Gonna do it.

Wow looks amazing! And very well explained 🤗
Thank you!

I've heard of 3 separate instances where people have done this, only thing is you gotta have the atoms to pay for it.
Nice! I always wonder how people figure this stuff out - I suppose it's just a LOT of trial and error.
Some of it is - others, like this video I learned from another RUclipsr, but I wanted to simplify the process.
New to 76. Great video. Subbed.
Hello. How do you “go down” a foundation when it is selected and attached to the other?
If you are talking about the one in the video, it is not attached to the other foundation when I lower the placeholder 1 foundation. The other foundation you see in the lowering sequence is just adjacent to the placeholder foundation and it is only a visual guide as to how far you need to lower the placeholder 1 foundation. @@raykemp9333 Thanks for the answer. It helped a lot! Sorry if I wasn't clear in the question. I do not speak English, I'm Brazilian.
Love the video and you got a sub now. Thx brother

when I blueprint it and re place it the half walls pop back up instead of staying merged into the foundation?
I don't suppose there's any way to do something similar on an upper floor balcony, is there?
Any thoughts on how to do this with an "upper floor"? Trying to add a railing to my balcony but the results have been mixed 😅
Are the glass walls the greenhouse bundle pieces?
How do you get catwalk I can't see them
Wow!😮
damn that looks good
Also, how does the flamer work without power? I have to connect mine to a power source. Or is this just a Worlds thing?
The flamer will work just fine without power in any world. I've never had to connect mine to power with any of my builds for nearly three years now. Just set it and then hit your USE button when it's highlighted on your screen.
Are the glass walls available to buy now?
Not yet.
Great video! Is there any way to do this on a rooftop?
I do not know of any way to do something like this with roofs since walls are dependent with foundations, not roofs.
How can you move them to your final spot and keep them at the right height?
You can't move them. You need to build them at your specific spot at your CAMP.
Every time I hold e button it just goes into blueprint mode is there something I'm missing?
You're holding it too long - just tap it first.
We're you able to do this on the upper floors?
I don't know how this could be done on upper floors since you cannot move floors up or down like you can foundations.
Can this be done with the lookout tower?
I don't believe this will work with the lookout tower since the tower does not have foundations that we can use like you see in the video here. I may take a look at it again to see if there is some way to make it work, but I'm not optimistic at this time.

The support ticket would only apply to items that you can purchase in the Atomic Shop.
Has anyone figured a way to make this work on an upper floor?
Has this been patched it wont work for me😢
No, nothing has been patched, worked for me just fine a few weeks ago. What problem are you having?
Awesome!
Now if you can tell me how to put those onto a FLOOR (not a foundation!), you will make me a very happy woman.
