Thank you! I bought my Forester Sport back in March and drove it from NJ to CA. The dealer usually gave a two hour instruction on how to use everything but I had to leave before that happened. This video is exactly what I needed and very well done.
Has any one towed a small er boat with a forester??? I have a 12 foot aluminum Jon boat that I would considering towing now and then if others haven’t had problems…. Total weight boat and trailer and engine is under 800 pounds

Maybe you answered this elsewhere already - on the HOME screen, showing the apps, Pandora is one of them, and I’ve never seen it work. Touch the icon, and it goes into “terminal load”, as if the actual app is not present, and must be downloaded. Your thoughts ?

You know on the menu option minute 12:40, how do you adjust where it says New York? It appears to be the weather? I have the 2022 Forester sport, and I'm so annoyed not knowing how to adjust that. 🙃
I have that exact car and found the vid extremely helpful. Question: AWD is on all the time I understand, yet when I recently became stuck in a snow bank, only my front wheels were spinning and the rear ones weren't moving as I tried to dislodge the vehicle. Also, no X-mode control change did the trick, I had to be pulled out by another vehicle.
I had a 2019 Sport andjust replaced with a 2021 Sport (dont ask). Only thing I did was have the calipers painted to match the Orange Striping. High Temp Chevy Orange matches perfectly. Made the vehicle stand out. MGP Caliper covers now has the 2019- and up colored covers with the Subaru logo on them. The only thing I wished the sport did was have the swivel roof rails like the Outback that can turn to become cross rails for a cargo carrier.
I have had my 2023 Sport for three weeks. After watching this video I will have to pop outside & try a couple of things I just learned about. The Australian model is a little different to the one featured here.
Taking delivery on a new sport in 2 days. I’m a cyclist and got the stock hitch 1 1/4” and Kuat nv 2.0 bike rack. Wish stock hitch had 2” option for better hitch accessory . Could have gotten aftermarket 2” but didn’t want anyone messing with the install so new! Your videos are extremely helpful. Do one on trailer hitch!
Just ordered my 22 forester sport! First Subaru in the family and we are excited. Safety features were the selling point for us over comparable crossovers.
I feel like I've pretty much sold myself on the Forester Sport but they're extremely rare at the moment and all of the local dealers seem to be tacking on a premium. (I only see one local dealer even getting one in out of the 4 or so dealers in the area.)
Absolutely LOVE this thorough video !!! I test drove a used Forester Sport today. I loved the vehicle, but the front speakers were pretty much a deal breaker for me. I've been looking at a few used Subaru Foresters of the current generation. I know you can turn the steering responsive headlight feature off but have there been reports of these new headlights getting stuck in cold climates? I'm just curious if there's a potential for them to freeze.
Being physically challenged, I really appreciate the power seat. We have the 2020 Forester premium trim. With the package 15. Because of my physical problems, I only wish we had a power passenger seat. I have a difficult time trying to enter and exit the vehicle. We actually own 3 Subarus. A 2018 base hatchback Impreza. And a 2022 premium trim Impreza sedan. I try to catch all of your videos.

@@alexpmo Well I never really knew what that blind spot detection button was really all about even in my 2019 Crosstrek LTD. I was scared to push it to be honest (Why would anyone turn that off? Hi Alex, Didier here. Very helpful videos, easy to watch and follow. I've been studying the the models over the last month, it has been confusing due to the so many differences and they seem to change them every year. I've decided to go with the Premium in the Autumn green as it will suit my hiking business and lifestyle. My dealer here in Perth, Western Australia was kind enough to allow me to try the car out for 48 hours, great customer service. It gave me the time to get to know the car and I love it. The Sports is just too loud, I want to drive like I hike become invisible. Foresters are designed for Drivers not ego's and I love that.
Thank you for the videos. A huge problem I have is not being able to change the weather location. I successfully changed it on the big screen; however, it does not change on the small screen. It would be nice if there were more weather station choices available too beings subaru is used more for outdoor activities. My Sirius pops up weather alerts, but who know from where the alerts are from and it annoyingly continues to pop up and how do you stop the pop-ups?
We are wanting to purchase a new Forrester Sport, but we HATE the interior colors. Does anyone know when Subaru will offer tan or brown interior in the Sport? We love the Ivory interior in our Outback. Also, is Subaru going to offer Crimson Red exterior paint for the Sport? I like the White exterior over the other exterior colors, but every new car I’ve ever bought was White with the exception of 2 and those were Red metallic.

(yes, I had been stowing it in the garage) One curiosity, my Forester does not have a button for the Steering Responsive Headlights, but does have the right headlamps. Are they simply active all the time the headlights are on, without an option to turn the steering response off? Thanks gain for great content!

Thanks Joanna, I'm surprised you noticed that! It's an ambient light so you can see the overhead console buttons at night. It's much more noticeable when it's dark.
I just picked up a 2019 forester sport and noticed only one side of the blue was lit up. I thought the other side had burnt out or something. But here in a new car I see it’s the same. Why just the one side???
Alex, I hope you can help me with the hatch problem on my Forrester 2021. I transport my kayak by shoving it into the back with the seats down and tie down the liftgate. But as I drive it constantly beeps, is there anyway I can turn that off?

Any of the foresters with the 8.0 inch touch screen display will have the built in wifi hot spot. The sport package 24 has the 8.0 inch display and the sport package 21 has the 6.5 inch display. I would check with whoever told you that. They might have accidentally confused the two packages

Great review, i do have a question do you know what is the small blue light in the over head console is for? You can see it at 20:28 mins of the video.
Thanks Joanna, I'm surprised you noticed that! It's an ambient light so you can see the overhead console buttons at night. It's much more noticeable when it's dark.

I just picked up a 2019 forester sport and noticed only one side of the blue was lit up. I thought the other side had burnt out or something. But here in a new car I see it’s the same. Why just the one side???
@@sarahm5987 Hey Sarah! Not 100% sure but my guess is that the one blue light provides enough ambient light to see the buttons.

Alex, I hope you can help me with the hatch problem on my Forrester 2021. I transport my kayak by shoving it into the back with the seats down and tie down the liftgate. But as I drive it constantly beeps, is there anyway I can turn that off?
Hi Alex, love your videos! On a Sport trim are there 3 driving modes (Intelligent, Sport and Sport#), or just 2? I see there are only 2 buttons but thought I heard all 3 modes were accessible.

I also was told the 2021 24 package did not come with Wi-Fi hot spot. Is that true?
Any of the foresters with the 8.0 inch touch screen display will have the built in wifi hot spot. The sport package 24 has the 8.0 inch display and the sport package 21 has the 6.5 inch display. I would check with whoever told you that. They might have accidentally confused the two packages
Would it be able to fit a roof tent, what weight can it handle?
Yes, when the car is moving it has a weight capacity of 176lbs. However, when you're stopped, you have a static weight limit of 700lbs.
