@@amsedisou20 Nouman Ali doesnt offer Islam and I am not taking Islam from him because Islam comes from Allah SWT and we take it from our Prophet SAW…. Nouman is NOT a scholar nor he claims to be one neitheris he perfect and no one is… in fact he repeatedly claims to be a student and shares his learning experience with “actual scholars”…
if you are looking for someone perfect to learn anything from, let alone Islam, let me tell you youwill learn nothing… There are certain things about even great Imams like Imam Malik and Imam Abu Hanifa but that doesn’t mean that we discredit all their work…
as a seeker of knowledge you listen to people and then you use whats in between your ears… then you go back and forth and practice and keep re evaluating it over and over and the process never ends…
I follow Yasir Qadhi and Assim Al Hakim… those two have diametrically opposite views on a certain issue with one calling others beliefs as Shirk… similarly Omar Sulieman is very vocal about a certain issue and Assim al Hakim is not… does it mean one is better than the other … the answer is they are all better than me and they know more than i do…
if someone is ready to give me Over 8 hours of dars on, how beautiful 7 ayas of Umm ul Quran are, should I tell him no, because you have said xyz as a side comment in one your 2 hour long dars… If someone offers you an Orange you dont throw it away because the rind was bitter… you eat the fruit and discard the skin and the seeds…
as far as the idol incidence is concerned my opinion is those kids had no Authority over that temple and their actions amount to vandalism… people say that Prophet SAW and Sahaba did it so shall we but none ask why did they wait till Fateh Makkah… because there is a right way of doing things, even the right ones… and if you have problems with Nouman tell Nouman, everyone will benefit; do not backbite about him in his comment section; would like to eat his dead flesh…
